I stopped in to pick up a small present for a friend who’s expecting and I was impressed with the selection in the store. I avoid malls as much as possible just because I can’t stand crowds, so Hazel Baby and Kids opening up downtown is really convenient for me. On my visit I noticed they had a very nice selection of wooden toys for toddlers and also carried my favorite plush toys, and at cheaper prices than the one I recently bought for my niece from a store in the city. Aside from toys, I noticed they also sell clothes and gear for babies and bigger kids.

Glad to see local businesses expanding!
This store seems to have a lot more goodies available than the Hamilton Park one which is shared with pet goods. I actually enjoy this space a lot more.
The store carries both mainstream toys (sophie the giraffe for example), and less known artisanal brands like Modern Moose. I thought the prices would be super high given this is a boutique shop, but when compared to what I could find online, the prices were pretty reasonable!
If you are looking for a gift that both the parents and kid will enjoy, I believe Hazel Baby & Kids is a good resource. Clearly, they’ve done their research on the best and green brands out there to save you the hassle.
