Went there on a Sunday morning. Walked in to see three employees in the back chatting and laughing in a different language. Stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for someone to notice me. Finally one of the employees walked over and asked what I wanted. He then proceeded to take his sweet time making my sandwich… walking over talking to other employees. 15 minutes later he arrives with my bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The total with a drink comes to $ 7.49, I hand him my card and he says there’s a $ 10 minimum ! I asked if he could make an exception and he said no. So I had to buy another drink to make the minimum. Just poor customer service. Lucky the sandwich was actually really good. Too mad the employees suck.

Very good place to cater for your every needs. From an early morning bagel to a late night slice, Christos will look after you. This has quickly become a regular spot for me and i dont see myself going elsewhere.

Wow, where do I start? This is the best deli/supermarket in all of New York. Christos is a man about town and the town is definitely about Christos. Not only to i love coming here and stocking up on all my necessities but I also love having a friendly chat with my boy Christos. I’ve got to say, I love this place almost as much as i love sliced pizza, and then I found out Christos actually does sliced pizza as well… One word to describe my reaction to this news. «God», Christos is my «god».

Christo consistently provides quality food at a very reasonable price! Their breakfast bagel is one of the better items on the menu, keeps me going right through the morning til lunch! The pizza is another highlight, great value and delicious. While the service can be a bit up and down from Christo himself, the food more than makes up for it. I’m just happy I live so close by!

Christos is everything you’d get from a solid NYC deli /bodega in the heart of Hamilton Park. My go-to is there egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and a great cup of coffee. It’s a little more expensive than I would like it to be but I guess what isn’t these days. They also sell a small stash of groceries and necessities like eggs paper towels pet food etc. I’ve seen the pizza in the window but never taken the opportunity to eat any with so many good pizza places around. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for a lunch so you can take to the park and eat this is a good spot.

I always order breakfast for delivery. The food always arrives in a timely fashion. The food is great for the price but overall simply alright. 2 of 3 times French Toast was overly soggy.

Everything in here is overpriced. They don’t mark anything and they seem to charge you whatever they feel like at the register. I went to get eggs here and I saw that they had taken a regular carton and cut it in half, selling both halves. It’s not sanitary. There is a layer of dust over most of the food in the store. They are located conveniently close to Hamilton Park, but I wish the prices were more fair.

Maybe I’m just incredibly hungry, but thank goodness for these guys. I had an event at McNair and was absolutely famished and unable to find anywhere where they’d give me food and fast. In comes these folks. I got an egg an cheese on a roll(yummy meaty cheese, lots of egg, soft roll), a small coffee, two things of fresh baked cookies(for the car!) and to hit the $ 10 card minimum got some granola bars as well(also for the car). They’re speedy, quick, cheap, and exactly what I needed. Whenever I time to McNair, this is where I’ll go!

Awfully overpriced. Orange juice. Ice cream and chips cost me $ 13. My gf went in to buy oreos, chips ahoy and ice cream and he charged her $ 16. Never again. Never again. Should be ashamed of yourselves. I give you no stars.

Nice little bodega/pizza shop. This place is literally a stone’s throw from my apt. Have tried most menu items by now. Sandwiches are good but a little skimpy on the meat. Most pizza slices are extremely dry unless you get a specialty slice, I recommend the buffalo chicken slice with blue cheese although it will run you almost $ 5. Breakfast sandwiches are OK, I do enjoy the iced coffee. They have some standard home needs such as detergent, toiletries, candles, air fresheners and some groceries. Overall, it does the job but the prices do add up quickly because not everything is marked and the prices can change depending on who is ringing you up. P. S. $ 10 credit card minimum.

This is a great deli. Avoid lunch time on school days because it gets packed with kids. Breakfast sandwiches are great. The pizza slices are pretty good as well. The staff has always been really nice.

This is my local deli and they are such great people. The only food I get there is the burger, any burger. Always good. When school is in session, stay away for there between 11:30 and 1:30. The place is jam packed with high school kids.

I have lived in the neighborhood for just about nine years. I think this is a family owned business. The husband and wife team there during the weekdays are friendly. I have never had an issue with the service. As mentioned previously, prices might be a little high — marked up merchandise. All in all, not a bad place. Not a whole lot of value though given the prices. Then again, if you can afford to live in Downtown JC, it might not be that big of a deal.

Great food, convenient to the area, delivery when needed, convenience items when I’m too lazy to go to the grocery store, good people. Can’t ask for much more than that.

Kinda surprised by the reviews… they are a year old though, so maybe things have changed? I was walking… just walking. During my break. And ran into this place. I ordered a grilled chicken caesar salad and I gotta say… best one I’ve had ever. It was perfect… and the dressing stood out so well. I eat A LOT of grilled chicken caesar salads. The lady at the counter who helped me was very nice and outgoing. Like, super nice… she treated me like we were best friends. That salad was so good.

This is some of the best«hang-over» food around. Although i think it could be a little cheaper, I go for the hamburger, the chicken gyro w american cheese or the buffalo chicken pizza. You MUST avoid this place between the hours of 11am to 1pm if the highschool across the street is in session. Also the ATM fee is 2 bucks. I hate that. But the staff is super nice.

I have to disagree with the previous reviewer, or it’s possible the owners have changed. I’ve only been frequenting Christo’s for a year, but the family who run it have always been very friendly to me. They know my daughter by name and ask about her whenever I go in my myself. It seems weird to Unilocal a convenience store, but the fact is this little bodega has a secret… Their Lamb Gyro’s. They are excellent actually. Not just convenience store excellent, but I actually sit in Greek restaurants in NYC and say«I can’t believe it’s true, but Christo’s is actually better than this». The meat is a combination beef /lamb, You have a choice of Tzadziki sauce or Tahini. They fill it with fresh vegetables and peppers if you like. Ordered as a platter with fresh crispy fries and you have a delicious coronary in a bag for under $ 5. Like I said, Odd for a convenience store, but it really is worth making a stop… NOTE: Despite the implications of the shop’s name, they close the store early on Friday afternoons for prayers…
