I always get my eyebrows done from here since they do them well, and for only $ 3! The problem is that the oldest one (Raji, I think) can’t see clearly and well, she gives me many cuts under eyebrows too. Raji also makes me wait for a while when she sits me down for my eyebrows. I sit there and wait and she leaves me to go talk on the phone whenever she’s in the middle of an eyebrow. Yet, she is close to me and cheap and efficient. So I guess I don’t mind waiting a little, but it does feel rude at times.

Raji did an amazing job on my makeup, I absolutely loved my look for the evening. Thanks Raji and keep up the good work! Will definitely come back whenever I’m in New York.

I was really pleased within the solutions on this site. We have been obtaining my head of hair coloured by Raji Hair Salon over the past three years… and i also get words of flattery daily about how excellent the colour is!

I was quite pleased at the service here. The experience definitely not painless, but it wasn’t too terrible. Asked to get brows shaped, not too thin. The cost came out to be cheap for threading (3 $) and upper lip ($ 2). As someone who isn’t expert to threading, I can say that I’m satisfied. I’m no beauty expert, but I think they’re decent. Will be back!

Good eyebrow place. Close to the train station. If u are looking to do your hair Raji or Marie is the person. Best blow out I’ve had in a while. The only problem is u may have to wait a while depending on the day.

sketchy place with sketchy reviews but I took the shot to get my brows threaded here since I was visiting my sis close by, I advised the girl to not make them too thin, to only clean it up and also be careful because I have long lashes and sometimes places I go to tend to tug on my lashes with the thread. girl was very gentle, didn’t tug on my lashes and took her time she also made me check to see if I was satisfied and I was. also the price is so great! only $ 3 dollars for brows, I usually pay $ 5 or $ 6 and when I get them done in the city I pay around $ 12! deff coming back here to take advantage while I visit my sister.

I love this eyebrow place. I’ve been coming here for years. I only go to the older woman or her daughter, but her daughter is always busy doing hair. It’s very inexpensive, and the best in my hood. I see other young women come and go, but I neverrrr try anyone new. I have trust issues when it comes to my eyebrows. It took me forever to find a place I like.

My budget for waxing/​threading is very tight so I chose Raji Beauty Salon because it was the only result in NYC when I Googled «full arms $ 15.» I called ahead of time and Raji was very clear and courteous when I inquired about their hours and prices. When I entered the shop Raji said hello but all of them were busy with someone and there were two people waiting ahead of me. While waiting, I was able to see the work in action and I was very impressed by the quality of hair styling and threading I saw. I waited 10 minutes before Raji herself started threading my eyebrows. She was very precise and gentle. I also needed a full face and neck wax which she did expertly even taking the time to go back and thread out the few stubborn hairs the wax missed. My eyes started watering and she was kind enough to offer me a tissue. After that she asked me if I wanted an Ayurvedic herbal face mask to soothe the redness and close my pores to prevent breakouts. When she saw me hesitating, she told me that it was complimentary with the purchase of a full face wax! I was so pleased because I’ve never been to a salon that offers such a great complimentary service like that before. She warned me that it would burn a little at first but cool down after a few minutes. I also needed my full arms and underarms waxed so she told me to lie down in the back while I waited about 10 minutes for her to finish with other customers. I did not mind because I really wanted time for the mask to sink in and dry thoroughly. She came back and cheerfully chatted with me while waxing my arms and underarms with skill and efficiency. I thought it was really cool when she mentioned that the other lady threading eyebrows outside was her mom. Finally, she left me to wash the mask off in the little sink and came back with paper towels to dry with. I was so impressed with how friendly and warm Raji was that I promised to come back and refer all my friends. I have been to so many threading salons run by South Asian women who have been grumpy, careless, and just plain rude to me. This place is so different! Also, you cannot beat the prices anywhere. Where else can you get eyebrows, full face, neck, arms including fingers, underarms, and face mask all for $ 45?! The wait was a little long but I was in no rush to go anywhere and honestly I’d rather wait at a place that is packed because the service is excellent than be first at a place that is empty because the service is terrible. Don’t expect to be pampered in a luxurious setting. The place is old, cramped, and you might have to wait your turn but you’ll leave with perfectly arched eyebrows for only $ 4.
Tip: The Sutphin Blvd stop on the F train and the Q44 Limited bus stop is located literally in front of their door so it is very convenient to get there.

I come here at least 4 times a month to get my eyebrows done and there’s never been a time where I had a bad experience. The location is very convenient and the people at the salon are polite and helpful.

I was so happy to finally have a convenient location to get my brows done, I have been here numerous times for threading the brow job here leaves alot to be desired but it is in a very convenient location, the only time it was done to my liking was by the older woman in the shop, when her daughter raji? , and other lady did my brows they messed them up. I asked about getting henna done on my body and was told by raji that she had no black henna that’s the only one that would show on my skin. I was insulted because I have seen woman with deeper complexions than me with regular henna idk what’s up with her ! The mother also gives a great facial the face massage is very relaxing, I made the mistake of getting a facial from another lady who seemed to be new as raji stood over her and told her what to do. Now here is the where it took a really bad turn the lady begins to apply a cream to my ENTIRE face then tells me it’s a bleaching cream to take away dark marks wtf I was done this place with the exception of the older lady sucks !

Small salon with a convenient location and good prices. I got my hair cut here twice and have my eyebrows threaded here often. They provide good service for usually only a short or no wait.
