K Cleaners

We have used K Cleaners since we moved to Jacksonville a few years ago and are very pleased with the service. I like my shirts folded as opposed to hangers as they travel better and always find them done right. The other day we brought a pair of pants in and we pointed out a stain, as much as they tried it could not be removed but the attached a note stating so and even when we paid they showed us and explained that they tried everything they could so we were not surprised when we got home or when I took them off the hanger. No cleaning service is ever perfect but these folks try.

I took my husband’s suit to K Cleaners and pointed out a spot on the elbow so they wouldn’t miss it. I picked up the suit and hung it in the closet until he needed to wear it 2 days ago. Much to his displeasure, the spot was still on the elbow, but even worse there was a hole in the pants. This is the only suit that fits him right now, and his new boss was in town, so he was forced to wear a suit with a spot, but had to keep the jacket on all day to cover the hole in the back of his pants.
I took the suit to the cleaners today and they said that the suit was cleaned a month ago, and who knows what we did to it in that month. I explained to the owner that when we got the suit home, we hung it in the closet until my husband needed to wear it 2 days ago – a concept she couldn’t seem to grasp. It never occurred to us to check the suit; we’ve never had a problem with dry cleaning before. She also told us the hole must have been made by scissors and that couldn’t possibly have happened at her establishment. I told her that if there was a problem with the pants when we dropped them off, they would have noticed it and called us or marked the defect.
I was raised that when you make a mistake you take responsibility for it and you correct it. K Cleaners implied that we damaged the pants and I’m sorry, I will not tolerate that attitude from a business.
You would do better to find a better and more honest dry cleaner that K Cleaners. Not only did they not do an adequate job of cleaning the suit, they ruined it and then blamed us. Shame. Shame. Shame
