Ithacake

The cakes are amazing but the cake balls are out of this world. Lemon and chocolate are my favorite, but they are all fabulous.

I ordered a birthday cake for my husband in April 2011. After brainstorming with Jen on the design, we decided on a Dragonball cake because my husband is a fan of the show. And it was amazing! He was completely blown away by it. Not only did it look awesome, but it tasted heavenly. (I don’t remember what flavors we had though.) The dragon was made of rice krispies treats, so everything on the cake was edible. *See photo above*
Shortly after that I ordered a few dozen cake balls to take with me to Germany for a friend who is vegan. Jen makes vegan cake balls that don’t taste vegan! My friend couldn’t have been happier. The cake balls stayed fresh for many days and traveled well. If you’ve never had a cake ball, you owe it to yourself to try it.

I just got married on Sept. 1, and we had been looking for a bakery to make cupcakes for our wedding. We are so glad we found Ithacake. We worked with Jen on the different flavors and decoration possibilities via email. The sampler platter was generous, and we chose four types of cupcakes with little leaf decorations (red velvet with chocolate frosting, chocolate injected with strawberry jam topped with vanilla frosting, mocha with mocha frosting and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting). She delivered the cupcakes and cupcake tower right on time. The cupcakes were just as good as the sampler platter had promised! The cake was moist and the frosting was smooth and delicious. I’m very glad we found Ithacake!
