This is a student-run café located in the basement of Sibley Hall(home of Cornell’s Architecture School). The décor is… unique, the atmosphere a bit dark and home made. The whole setup feels very DIY, and goes for the service as well as the interior decorating. Untrained students often take awhile to get the hang of tasks, there’s typically a buildup of the line waiting for coffee, and important items(like lids for coffee cups) go understocked, or wind up being placed in really inconvenient locations relative to where coffee/food can be ordered or picked up. The bakery and sandwich items are fairly limited in quality and few and far between. I do like the Finger Lakes coffee they sell; most of the flavors are pretty good, and it’s a bit far from here to anywhere else that can brew up an espresso drink, which may explain the queue for an otherwise subpar service.
