This is my go-​to place for doughnuts. I work the overnight shift on Friday and Saturday and make a pit stop here to pick up some delciousness on my way home. I’m a stickler for habit so I almost always stick with the plain cake and plain cake with chocolate frosting. Only last week did I venture to have an apple fritter. Let me tell you somethin’ — that fritter could be seen from space. It was so yummy with bits of apple inside and glaze all over the outside. The lady at the counter, whom I take to be the owner, is a sweetheart. Prices are excellent. On my most recent trip last week, I bought a plain cake with chocolate frosting doughnut, chocolate éclair with cream, and two apple fritters for $ 3.95.

Today I had the privilege of trying Southern Donut for the first time. Boy, am I glad I did. I had a Cinnamon Twist and a Chocolate Éclair. Both were huge, fresh, and tasty. I will definitely come back here and try their other donuts.
