Pretty good! Don’t expect a fancy dine-in experience. This place is a good casual place to drop in. I would give this place more stars, but failure to turn-over tables in between customers and the uneven/rocky tables really take away from the overall rating. Don’t expect waiter service here. Don’t expect them to come up to you and ask you if you need anything or if everything taste okay. Won’t happen. They pretty much come out and give you the food and the rest is up to you(getting drinks, silverware, sauces. ect). You order and pay up when you get there and will need to repeat this process if you want anything else added. Food is pretty good! Great variety for meat eaters and vegetarians. If you want spicy, as for EXTRA spicy because it’s really not very spicy. The food quantity is pretty good.

If you are or were from Bangalore(India) originally, and love the likes of ‘Chung Wah’, ‘Aromas of China’ and ‘Chung’s Pavilion’, then ‘Bombay Chopstix’ is definitely for you! We were visiting Dallas in the summer last year and had a seriously droolworthy spread for lunch here! What we had: the sweet corn chicken soup(ofcourse), crispy chilli babycorn, chili garlic fried rice, chili chicken, cauliflower manchurian and the cilantro fish. Our food arrived pretty quickly and was flavorful, piping hot, the servings quite substantial and the wait staff were prompt and helpful. The décor reminded me of many happy meals had at Chungs Pavilion and Chung Wah back in Bangalore and I truly wish Bombay Chopstix would open a branch in New Jersey! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a hearty Indo Chinese meal.

I came here in Texas to spend time with friends and family. Since some of my family only eats halal food. I had limited options to eat out. There are not too many places that servers Halal food besides Deshi and middle eastern places. This place kinda put a twist to Deshi food. We decided to give this place a shot since this is like a Asian married to a Indian. we took Kung Poo chicken, Chilli Garlic noodle with shrimp, kid’s Hakka noodles, Mongolian beef, Basil Pad Thai, Deshi Chilli fried rice. Mongolian beef was so overcooked that it had no taste, it was like leather shoe drowning in the sauce. Help… hell no. We have basil Pad thai, that tasted nothing like basil… lol, it’s like your date who stuffs her bra, reality comes late with sadness. Also never mind the shrimp on the Garlic noodle, they will grow and multiply in time. Service sucks too. We were missing a dish and it came«AFTER» we were done eating. I put a 20% tip at the time we payed(You order and pay, then they bring your food). But the server told us that they will never see that and wanted to see if we can just give her cash. I told her I am not tipping twice for this. Only reason, I am giving them 2 star instead of 1, is the cleanliness and the kids food. Other than that, this place is not something I would recommend.

VEGETARIAN: Had the Manchurian Veg Coins, Thai Red Curry, Chili Garlic Burnt Fried Rice. The Manchurian Veg Coins are really good, it’s not too gingery like at other restaurants. The Thai Red Curry is decent but more on the bland side. The Chili Garlic Burnt Fried Rice isn’t worth it. Customer service is good with the given setup: order at front and then food is brought to your table.

Not that great. Other places of MacArthur better food and service. My recommendation, go somewhere else.

Good food, good taste, good price. But if they change ambiance or clean up little bit that would be perfect place to stop anytime for anyone.

The food is very good, but I won’t eat in the restaurant again until they do something about their lighting. They replaced the lights with these insanely bright LEDs. They are blinding. At the same time, it’s dark everywhere not in the immediate area of the lights. Another smaller set of lights was annoyingly flickering. It was an okay place to sit and eat but these lights have made the environment intolerable.

Rude owner. Horrible food… You might as well eat a few tablespoons of salt in soy sauce. Don’t come here.

I wanted to give them only two stars but giving 3 just for their chilly paneer appetizer. Their quality is not the same anymore. I would not recommend to anyone or would not prefer to take my guest there for a lunch or dinner. It used to be very good place but we don’t go there anymore.

I have ordered a vegetable fried rice and they served me a non-vegetarian fried rice with some fried flies in it. I was completely disappointed and I’m afraid to eat at this place again. I am not coming back here again… never…

Good food. Nice place. Bad experience — We got our order after 45 minutes of ordering. The manager/Owner didn’t care much. May be it was just my experience, but you should visit. It’s a good indo Chinese restaurant.

Food — mediocre. Customer service — poor. We ended up with serious tummy problems from contaminated food. Eat at your own risk. We will not be going back.

Looks intriguing but meh, nothing special really. I was drawn in by the premise of two unique cultures of cuisine and my expectations were high. Spice was not what I expected and desired, maybe they took it easy on me but I requested spicy and did not think it was spicy at all. I asked for veggie fried rice and only got rice with some egg, onions and bell peppers again kinda expected more veg but that’s just me. The girl at the counter could not accept I did not want chicken, weird but I finally just told her I’d take it out so I actually got Chicken fried rice and had to pick out the chicken which annoyed me. I also ordered a noodle shrimp dish and the shrimp were tiny, frozen almost those salad shrimp yuk. I got my food to go very quickly and they did give me extra spice on the side. The package opened up in the bag and sauce went everywhere, that’s lame but it happens. Prices were average for this kind of food but I really was satisfied after eating, full yes but not satisfied. I added a tip to my CC receipt and the girl said, cash tip only. I said I don’t have cash and she walked away with a snarl. That really put me off, tips are for good service and really you didn’t deserve it after that gesture.

We wandered into this place when MiCocina next door had a long wait and we were in a hurry for lunch. It was delicious! They have a large menu including both Indian dishes and Chinese dishes. Perfect for two people that are craving 2 totally different things. The Chili fries were awesome. We also got Desi rice and Kung Pao Chicken. The veggies were fresh too. We’ll definitely be coming back. I can’t believe the ratings aren’t higher. Then again, I wasn’t expecting much and got way more. They don’t sell alcohol, but you can always grab a Mambo Taxi next door for dessert.

I’ve traveled to(Incredible) India before and I can’t say that I ever got the opportunity to try something called Indo-Chinese, though I did notice plenty of East Asian eateries throughout the various cities I passed through. In any case, don’t let the name fool. At Bombay Chopstix, you won’t find any traditional Indian eats here. Instead you will find a unique Indian interpretation of several popular Thai, Chinese and other East Asian dishes. I am not complaining as I am a fan of both styles of cuisine, but I would have liked if my expectations had been managed to begin with upon walking through the door. In any case the initial impression was good… solid ambiance and service. The food came out promptly. I ordered Thai Red Curry with white rice, but was feeling a little adventurous so I opted for it to be made with fish rather than chicken. Wow, was it it delicious! I was honestly impressed from the first bite to last. I did ask that they make our dishes very spicy(choosing a spice level of 4⁄5) but noticed that they downplayed it somewhat. My boyfriend had their Kung Pao, but opted for steak. He wasn’t too impressed, but wasn’t disappointed either. I think we’ll still be back because of the plenty of options there are to choose from and because the service was extremely hospitable.

From the same folks as Bombay Chopstix, Simply Dosa delivers mouth-watering dosas and other Indian food street-style. We got the Uttapam which is a thicker pancake-like dosa with your choice of fillings cooked into the soft dough. The Indian potatoes(vegetarian) filling which was light and choke full of flavour, especially in combo with the tomato mustard chutney. The meat options looked and smelled delicious too. Lots of vegan and gluten-free choices(since dosa is rice-based).
