Roscoes is mostly hype. The food hits the spot when you’re craving it but be prepared to park a ways away(even at 10 am on a Tuesday) also they don’t take phone orders anymore so that defeats the purpose of food to go. If I wanted to hear kids screaming and loud people I’d just get a table. So minus one star for that.

I honestly enjoyed everything about this roscoes. The service, the time between the order and the food arrival, everything was amazing. The butter could have been less but it was great nonetheless.

Waffles are always amazing! Smothered chicken was borderline cold by the time it made it to the table. Bathroom was out of order resulting in a 20 minute wait to access the semi functioning smaller stall. It took the waiter 30 minutes to find our table and introduce himself. Another table was cleared, new party arrived, drinks ordered, and served before our waiter ever showed up. No refills on beverages. We got tired of waiting for the check and eventually walked to the register and requested our bill. I’ve been here before and have never had this experience. Retraining and facility maintenance is definitely needed.

How I never knew this location existed until yesterday I’ll never understand… *The Food is DELICIOUS. *The staff is friendly. I gave it 4 stars because of the checkout & parking situation. I asked the worker at the front door about parking & he didn’t have a solid answer… Which was strange but hey all Roscoe’s locations parking is Always messed up so I kinda of expected that. I was also told my wait would be less than 15 min However We ended waiting over 30 min. before we were called. My main issue is when paying. There’s Only 1 register so I had to wait 10 min+ just to stand in line to pay my bill. That is simply Ridiculous. I am hoping they quicly figure out a better check out process because the one they have now simply does not work, Especially when they are busy. All in All this is a Good Location & definitely worth going to again.

The employees here really want to help you. I came in knowing I was going to get my food to go because I was hungry but did not want to sit down and eat, I had a long day and I wanted to relax at home while eating chicken and waffles. I came in and made it known my wood it would be to go and they provided me a menu. I ordered what I wanted and they told me it would be about 10 minutes — perfect. While there I talked with the hostess at the front and the armed security guard. Yes, they do have an armed security guard– why? Your guess is as good as mine. My food came out very quickly(less than the 10 minutes I was quoted), and payment was very easy. I was provided all the necessary utensils, butter, syrup, and hot sauce that my mail required. They thanked me for coming and they did it with a smile. I definitely will come back for another to go meal or to sit down and eat — either way I’ll be happy.

EATMORECHIKIN. Wait, that’s a different place. Hahaha. Roscoes is a classic spot for the ones who enjoy their friend chicken accompanied with waffles, gravy, and syrup. It’s yummy here. The restaurant tends to have a very old fashioned look to it, which I do appreciate because it shows you that Roscoe’s will always be Roscoe’s, and isn’t trying too hard to be modernized. The fried chicken here is sooo crispy and yummy! I’m not a waffles type of person, but I have to admit, I give in to the hype here. I prefer the gravy on the side and pouring that over the syrup, but to each his own. I do want to give the mac and cheese a shot, but overall, this spot is hearty and gets you pretty full, especially with all those carbs of waffles on the side.

Gasp! I love chicken and waffles! Who doesn’t?! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night?! Yes please! For some quick comfort food, this is my go-to. Their chicken is always crunchy and freshly made. Same with their thin waffles. It doesn’t seem like a lot at first but portion is huge and perfect for sharing. Our usual orders consist of – chicken(legs and thighs), gravy over the rice, side of greens, mac and cheese, sweet yams, biscuits, corn breads. Nothin fancy. If you’re okay with legs and thighs, keep it that way. The wings are smaller and more expensive too. If you want to be somewhat healthy, the breasts are super juicy! The side of greens is a must. It’s never overly seasoned and possibly my favorite side on the menu. The yams are good, but flavor is not consistent. I’ve had a bad one before. I wish they made it with the mallows too. For drinks – try the Sunset and/or Eclipse. Today, we went for something different and tried the sweet tea. You can’t go wrong with that, right? Apparently, you can. They were not the greatest. It was too sweet, sweeter than McDonald’s! We ordered 2 and had to water it down. We practically made 4 sweet tea drinks out of it. Never again. –2 stars for service. For a group of 5(on a Wednesday at 12nn), we got seated right away. Yay! After that, I thought our waitress could’ve checked up on us more. I dislike having to flag them down for simple things like napkins or extra utensils. Those should’ve been accounted for and set up before seating us. During my previous visits, service was lacking as well even when they were less busy. The waiting staff tend to talk among themselves and forget about their customers’ needs. Today was my first time going in during the day and was it a packed house. It was totally understandable since their food is very delicious. I’d suggest scheduling more waiters during peak hours due to high demands. That’s common sense. Their location is really convenient to us whenever we’re going to or coming from LAX. But today, we happened to be around The Forum so we decided to have lunch here. We came in two separate cars and we got very lucky with getting the last spots. The security at the lot was very nice. He greeted us when we arrived and even said bye to us with a smile when we left. Kudos to him! Overall, no worries Roscoe’s. Those are just stars. I’ll still be back for more.

I loved my experience at the Famous Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles! It was everything I hoped my experience would be! Be warned if you are going on a Saturday or Sunday be prepared for a wait!!! But it’s well worth the wait and they keep the lines moving rather quickly! The service is so warm and friendly it almost feels like you are coming to someone’s home at Roscoe’s. We managed to pull in an older gentleman who worked here and he was Happy to give us the history on Roscoe’s! It was a sweet moment. Now onto the food!!! First off to drink get the lemonade and ice tea mix it’s the perfect thing to wash it down with. The chicken and waffles are all of that! I can see why this place is so famous! Talk about a crispy, buttery, waffle, covered in sweet syrup, and a nice piece of juicy chicken that’s perfectly seasoned! It’s the epitome of sweet & salty! We also ordered a side of cheesy grits! They were so creamy and cheesy! Delicious! Roscoe’s is a California must! I wish they would make their way to the east coast but that would take away from the nostalgia. Let’s keep it on the West coast and those who are not from Cali just have to make sure they stop by every time. I know I will.

I would give this place no stars if I could. Came in and got sat immediately, it wasn’t busy at all for a Saturday evening, but you’ll understand why soon enough. Waited for about 30mins and never got an order taken, not even drinks. I’ve been to the other two locations in Hollywood, they were amazing. As far as this place? WORSELOCATIONEVER. So if you’re looking forward to eating«air», this is the place for you.

3 stars, if that. Didn’t care much for the location, the décor, the atmosphere. It was okay. My order: Obama Special(3 wings + waffle) and a side of mac and cheese. Honestly, the mac & cheese was one of the worst mac & cheese I’ve ever eaten. It was bland, running, and not appealing. Amazingly, I was persuaded to order this item after our waiter proclaimed it was one of the best items on the menu. Bless her heart. The chicken was fantastic. And it better be, right? The waffle was big and okay. For such an acclaimed establishment, I expected better.

Service amazing. Food redeeming, I told myself I would no longer come to Roscoe’s again due to my last encounter was a disappointment to say the least. This was my first time at this particular establishment, right when we walked in the great service started from the host to our waiter, good service all around. I ordered the one thigh & one waffle with a side of mac and cheese. The chicken was well seasoned a juices the waffle was fluffy and yummy. I was not a huge fan of the mac & cheese, it has never tasted the same since my first 2 times trying them act and cheese at Roscoe’s. My food was hot, which was a contrast to the last time I had Roscoe’s, I appreciated that. I would definitely say this place is the best one I have been to aside from the mac & cheese. There is plenty of parking and the place itself is spacious. I would recommend that you try this place out for yourself.

I had to downgrade my review because the service was«turrible»(Charles Barkley Voice). We came with a large group to celebrate a victory with the boxing champ and although we were seated right away we did not eat until two hours later. It took them 45 minutes to bring our drinks and some of us never got refills that were requested. It was an embarrassing moment because they were from out of town and this is how LA represents an iconic eatery, not good at all. They have already filed for bankruptcy and this seems like an indication of them going downhill. I really do not think I will be returning here because they left a bad taste in my mouth literally, didn’t even finish my food.

I always try and visit when I am down in LA. Their waffles are extremely delicious, especially paired with their butter and syrup! I also discovered that their french fries may not look special, but are also extremely tasty! The chicken is honestly just alright, though you can’t really go wrong with dark meat. Pieces are definitely smaller in size here though. Portion size is small for the prices they are charging, though filling nonetheless. Interior is a bit dirty: the 2 times I’ve visited, the floors have always been sticky. The area is a bit shady at night, so don’t come alone. If you are alone, make sure you are not walking! Take an über/lyft or drive! They have a parking lot for customers. Service is also a bit slow and inattentive. I’ll still be back for their food! Hits my chicken n’ waffles craving spot on!

Been to the other locations but to me this is the worst location. Parking is tough at the other locations too so just be patient and find street parking. TIP: becareful where you park or you’ll be towed. We waited for about 30 minutes for a table of 2. I’ve been lucky at the other locations where i did not need to wait that long. The tables were dirty and sticky probably from the syrup. Every time a host walks by they’d feel the table as if they were seeing if it was cleaned. I heard other patrons ask the servers to wipe the tables again. My server was not around. She took our order, came by once to see if we got our food then… I had to keep looking for her. Food: 3 piece wing with a waffle. Yes, it was delicious. Much better than some places in San Diego. Despite my experience at this location, the chicken and waffle is worth it.

The boyfriend and I made this our first spot off our plane since it was so close to the airport. Slight wait, but that was a little expected. When we got seated, I noticed that it was not the«cleanest». Our table was sticky — probably from the previous party’s maple syrup going onto the table. I just accepted it and kept going with it. I ordered the Obama’s Special — 3 wings and a waffle. This was the perfect combo for me because I love the wings! And I wanted to eat them with a waffle. The chicken was both tasty and juicy! And the waffles were a great combination. There was nothing special or over the top about them, but they were good waffles. And waffles don’t need to be over the top to be good. I will definitely have to make a trip out to Roscoe’s the next time I’m in the area. I don’t care for burger fast food chains like In N Out or Jack In the Box because I personally feel that we have better on the East Coast, but there’s nothing like Roscoe’s there.

This place is an LA landmark and should be on your list of places to try! They have a variety of typical southern food, but are known for, of course, their chicken and waffle combos. The normal is ¼ of ½ chicken(white or dark meat) and two waffles. They have several other combos that mix up the chicken with other sides, like biscuits and such. Their waffles come with a TON of butter, so keep that in mind depending on what you like. The normal meals are around $ 12, but I consider those large portions. I usually get one waffle with one chicken breast and it’s about $ 8. I think the prices are okay, but they give 50% off for military in uniform, which makes the food a deal! The parking can be difficult if coming during regular lunch hours because half of the parking spaces where you would think to park are for a different business and you can’t park there. I suggest coming no later than 11am for lunch – parking will be a breeze and you shouldn’t have to wait for a table. The service and staff are usually good and quick.

Super solid and consistent soul food spot. I’ve been eating at roscoes for almost 2 decades. Simply put, they are just a staple of L.A. Life. I’m not even going to say that roscoes has the best chicken/waffle combo I’ve ever had but it’s really good. Chicken and Waffles is all I get here. My most recent visit was last week. I got a waffle with 2 wings and a breast. The waffle was nice and crispy and the chicken was moist and well seasoned. That sweet and savory combo this dish packs was exactly what I needed after a 6 hour flight from JFK to LAX. Aside from good food the service was fast and friendly. I was seated immediately, my order was taken quickly and the food came out in less than 10 mins. This was an efficient stop on my path from the airport to my destination. Roscoes did the trick. I got a tasty, hearty and inexpensive meal. I’m giving them 4 stars. Their not the best soul food spot in L.A. but they do it right consistently.

I’ve had chicken and waffles from Bay Area speciality food trucks(Waffle Amore), from Cafeteria 15L(restaurant in Sacramento known for its chicken and waffles) as well as various other restaurants but the pairing of chicken and waffles together has never struck me as one of my must-have comfort foods or something I craved. Roscoe’s is SoCal’s infamous house of chicken and waffles, serving all different types of chicken(dark or white; thigh, wing, leg and more) for your eating pleasure. On a Saturday late lunch(2 pm), there was about a 30 minute wait for a party of 8, which wasn’t bad. Personally, I ordered #3, the Herb’s Special which was ½ Chix prepared southern style, 2 waffles with their own private mix. This meal along with #4 can definitely be shared between at least two or three people. My friends tried Obama’s special and side orders of the chicken sausage and gravy. Great portions here. Everybody was full and satisfied after their meal. Let’s start with the first half of the equation, the chicken. The breading coating the chicken was delicious. It was perfectly seasoned, not too salty and cooked just right. The chicken was delightfully white in the center and not too crunchy or hard on the outside. The chicken was definitely one of the better parts of the entrée. The waffles came with salted butter on top(spread it quickly since it melts fast!) and maple syrup on the side. The maple syrup has great flavor. It’s not sickeningly sweet and doesn’t overpower taste of the chicken; in fact, it’s a great compliment to both the chicken and the waffle and I recommend a bit of syrup with each bite. The waffle itself is nothing special. It’s mostly just waffle batter cooked and used as a foundation to put the chicken on top of for eating. The waffle holds together pretty well even after being soaked with butter and syrup for a while. My friends enjoyed the Louisiana hot sauce on top of their orders as well. Make sure to check it out if you’re into spicy sauces and flavoring. Overall, I would say it’s definitely worth a try at least once if you’re in the area and looking for some Southern comfort food — one of the better chicken and waffles that I’ve had.

I’ve been to the one in Hollywood and West L.A., but I’ve been to this one more than all the other locations purely because it’s close to LAX so it’s my first stop when I come home after a trip. It’s also my go to after a concert in the area. I have only tried the two C&W combos. I will say that I prefer the 2nd one because that gravy is life. I’ve probably had it 8 out of the 10 times I’ve gone. I’m that loyal. I should try other items, but I like to keep it safe. I’m not sure what it is about their chicken, be it the batter or the oil they use to fry it, but holy moly it is good. It’s so good, I force myself to finish the whole thing no matter how full I am because I don’t want the rest to go to waste. Taking it home is out of the question because it doesn’t taste the same. The service is always good. They practice the«you’re at home» policy so when you’re there you feel at home. Everyone is friendly with a smile on their face. Even late at night when you can tell most patrons are tipsy and/or drunk, the staff are still super nice. I’m looking forward to coming back from my vacation so I can stop by and do work.
