This place is definitely a great place to be on a Friday. There’s usually a smaller country name playing and ticket prices range from $ 5-$ 10 usually. There’s line dancing, drinking, and something for everyone. The line dancing can be intimidating but if you jump in and catch on, people will help you out. Better yet, come on Wednesdays!!! They have FREE dancing lessons and ladies get in free! How cool is that?!

8 Seconds Saloon is a great live music venue for up and coming artists and artists at the end of their run who want to continue performing for their fans. I’ve seen the likes of Cole Swindell, Neil McCoy, Chase Rice and Dustin Lynch and stood within 20 feet of the stage every time! On nights there is no concert, it isn’t really my scene. I love me some country music, but sorry, I don’t have the free time for that line dancing mess. My only complaint isn’t on the facility, it’s on the people of Indianapolis. You greedy jerks. Don’t gobble up all the tickets they graciously price at $ 10 – 25 to see these artists so you can make a quick buck on Craigslist princing them upwards of $ 100. That’s pure evil and pathetic. Note to the owner: Make half the tickets available online and the other half you have to bring your butt to the box office to get the tickets. That could stop some of these rich business owners from ordering the max amounts to resale…

I like eight seconds it’s a good experience great place to get your country on, although I really do not like going there because their carpet. The carpet looks and feels Like a petri dish of humanity, The owner must seriously consider buying carpet for his joint, before I return. It’s a wonder that the health department hasn’t forced his hand. This country club will have to go on without me till this carpet is replaced.

Guess we picked a horrible night for a Bachelorette party, warm up band was so loud and not country, my ears hurt after 2 songs(band was called outlaws and moonshine.). I felt so bad for my daughter. October 9, 2015. Won’t be back, ever!

I’ve been to 8 Seconds several times, and each time has been more disappointing than the previous. Most recently, I attended a performance by a classic outlaw country artist, one of the last from his era. The average age of those in attendance was 35 to 60. So I was baffled as to why the house dj spent so much time playing pop country/tractor rap, and actual rap music before the show. The 3 or 4 classic country songs he played were met with applause and voices rose up in song, but all that apparently fell on deaf ears. Additionally, all those with general admission tickets were restricted to half of the general admission area to allow for dancing, which I’ve never experienced there before. Pushing X-number of people into half the space they’re meant to occupy makes for an uncomfortable concert-going experience. I’d be hard pressed to return to 8 Seconds, as it has simply become unenjoyable.

Celebrating my b-day in Indy back in May! I went to Saddle Up on a Friday night and then 8 seconds on a Saturday night! 8 Seconds has changed from what it was 5 years ago but it’s still a good place to hang out and line dance! I would mostly prefer saddle up over 8 seconds because they do more line dancing there! I would still go back!

This is pretty much the only country bar I know in Indianapolis. They have pretty awesome concerts. I just went to Eric Paslay last Friday. Also, they have a massive dance floor in the middle to line dance on! This place is pretty cool. I recommend. I also recommend ordering a Alabama Slammer. They make a good one here!

Had a great time line dancing… great place to learn new steps and dances… very country… if you aren’t wearing your boots you will feel out of place… full service bar… we did not try the food though we thought it to be reasonably priced… drinks reasonably priced… cover charge was $ 5.00 but someone in line gave us 2 free passes… friendly patrons…

I’m shocked that this place doesn’t have more reviews! Seriously befuddled. Ah well, I’ll post my opinion to make up for it :-) So… I love country music and country bars. If I could transplant my whole life to Nashville, TN that would be ideal. I grew up in a small town listening to country music. like so many of us in the good olé heartland and there’s just something about 8 Seconds Saloon that feels like home. Also, line dancing is really freaking fun. I’ve been to 8 Seconds on several occasions. Sometimes I go just to line dance and other times I go because I’m going to see a semi-famous country singer. I love the Hank FM concerts that they have on Friday nights. A couple times a month you can pay ~$ 15 to see a decently good act perform. The concerts run pretty late… at least till midnight. so you get your money’s worth. The venue is huge with ample, well-lit parking(and sometimes there’s a man in a golf cart that will drive you from your car to the front door). Standard drinks… wouldn’t say they’re great prices. Haven’t had the food, so no opinion on that although just from the looks of it, it doesn’t look that appetizing. The line dancing though. that’s where it’s at. How fun! There are some pros there who you can watch and will help you learn the ropes. The dance floor is rather large which is good because I like to have quite a bit of space when I’m doing the electric slide(which is the easiest and least fun of the dances that you’ll learn). If you’re looking for something fun, different, authentic and unique, I’d definitely recommend you breaking out your plaid shirt and cowboy boots and boot-scootin’ over to 8 Seconds. If you’re not a cowboy/country gurl, don’t worry… you can still have fun. There’s a wide range of people who frequent this place.

Went to a concert there with my sister and her friend. Some crazy lady came up and started screaming at us and threatening me because we had been laughing. Said her uncle was the owner. She threatened to «take it outside» and that she would follow me to my car. We tried to ignore her, but she kept going. When it became clear she wasn’t going to leave us alone, I went to security & they laughed it off saying she was a regular. I guess regulars get away with harassing and threatening new customers and because of that I won’t be back.

I went here for a concert recently. The parking lot was large and well lit, so there was no trouble finding a spot early in the evening. The food is terrible, even for bar food. They have really sad looking pizza that looks like it has been in the warmer for a week. The nachos are stale chips with that yellow melted«food product» that contains no flavor or cheese and a generous amount of canned jalapeño slices if you pay extra. The beer is $ 4.75 so that can get expensive in a hurry, but I imagine that is how they can offer the concerts at a discount price. The opening band didn’t start until 9:30 but only played for 40 minutes. Then we waited until after 11:00 for the headliner to start and they were done by 12:10. I guess they expect you to line dance or ride the mechanical bull while you wait. The sound system sucked. I mean it really sucked. If we had not known some of the songs we would not have been able to tell what they were singing. We had a front row seat, right up at the stage but they have so many chairs packed in that you can hardly move. If one person at the table needs to go to the restroom, the entire table(and the the people at the neighboring table) have to move so you can get out. And about the bathrooms… in the men’s room there was a guy with a suitcase full of «amenities» that he was trying to sell. One of the guys with us said every time he went to wash his hands the hawker practically shoved the fancy hand towel in his hands before he was done washing them, and then he expected to be paid for his pushy service. It made the guys really uncomfortable. The ladies room did not have this«service» and was just a general mess with broken overflowing toilets and faucets that did not work. The worst part was the smoke. The ventilation system must be non-existent and you choked on the acrid smoke. Once the place filled up with people, there was so much smoke you could hardly see for the haze. I don’t recommend this place unless you are a chain smoker, into heavy second hand smoke and just can’t find anything else to do.

The food here is just as expected(bar food), but the drinks are cheap and plentiful, the pool tables are ready for you to play on, and there is a mechanical bull. What more could you want? There are also big screen TVs, a friendly wait staff, and a decent location. I found this place sort of on accident and hope to go back next time I’m in Indy.

THISISFIVESTARSIFYOUARE A COWBOYINSERIOUSNEEDOF A LINEDANCE!!! For normal folks this is a 3 star review. You might be scared at first, I was but it isn’t so bad, go on in, you can do it… just order a drink and watch the the really drunk girls that are to big for their clothes or better yet the ‘cowboys’ ride the mechanical bull. If you walk to the back there is a hip-hop area, sectioned off from the line dancing, bull riding cowboy attired peeps. Its okay. I got hit on by a redneck(in the hip hop area) wearing a plaid shirt, cowboy hat, and a weird little skinny belt. If I remember correctly I think he said something like«I bet you can dance.» There was definitely more to the conversation but I kinda tuned him out and let my friend Morggs take him from there… The music in the«Tremors» area was kind of old school with a mix of pop. Watch out for the escapee line dancers, boot scootin on the hip hop floor to Baby Got Back!
