As far as hotel lobby coffee shops go this one is ok. Located in the Omni hotel it was a nice stop to grab a cup of joe and a snack before heading out to the convention center. Had a clean look, nice but a little dated looking décor, friendly staff, and decent coffee. Has some seating and you can grab a spot to look out over the street and people watch.

The place is funky, it has a lot going for it including the fact that it’s located in the Omni. The staff was really friendly even though I was there super early.
The view is good and you can watch everyone bustle around the Omni or wander up and down Illinois St.
However, here’s the bottom line…
A Grande Coffee at Starbucks is $ 2.02
A Medium Coffee ar 40 West is $ 2.32
Why is this important? The coffee they serve at 40 West… is Starbucks coffee for the love of God.
