We were staying at the Hyatt Regency and ended up at Cutthroats after initially trying to go eat at another property restaurant too close to closing time. Overall, I was very happy with our decision to dine here. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu. There was a moment however where we had to wait a bit longer than I had hoped in order to request a spoon that was not brought out with the soup we ordered. The food was above average. I was not expecting to be excited about«bar food», however the food we were served does not belong in that category. I had a Wagyu Burger that was noticeably more flavorful than a standard ground beef burger. It was cooked to perfection(ordered medium — delivered medium to medium rare). We also got the Grilled Cheese Brisket sandwich which was so delicious. It comes with a tomato bisque that was also very good. Overall, I would definitely come back.

5 stars for the sweetest trio behind the bar! I’ve been coming here for a few years and can’t believe I haven’t written a review about Erica, Diane, and Nick! They’re like Tahoe family and my Tahoe trips sure wouldn’t be the same without them! I hate to say it, but unlike the bartenders, the food has dipped in quality since I’ve been coming here. It’s decent if you’re starving, but it’s definitely not high quality bar food. I hope this is the year their kitchen can match their impeccable service! xoxo

After a very long day of travel we headed down to this bar/restaurant for a bite. I give it 4 stars because the service was slow. Maybe because it’s off season. There were families with toddlers eating here but it is definitely a bar with a stage in the corner. I guess in season it is probably a great bar. But for now it’s a great burger joint. Yes, I got a burger. But when in a great resort & your at $ 16 for a burger why not spend $ 2 more & get the wagyu? It was worth it. Very juicy & delicious. My wife got soup & salad. She loved the house dressing with chunks of blue cheese. The smoked brisket chili had great full flavor but seemed to be lacking on the brisket. I’m hoping it was just a bad ladle full at the end of the night. All in all very good food and the prices seemed appropriate for a resort like this.

Service was good. I like the atmosphere. Their chop salad was delicious and the fish part of the fish and chips was really good. The fries were okay. Potato skins were just okay. The woman at the bar makes the best Bloody Maria’s I’ve ever had.

Nice hotel, terrible bar food. I didn’t have high expectations but I was still dissapointed. Dennys is disgusting but better than this place…

The Hyatt Lake Tahoe is my favorite place to go when I want a semi-staycation. It gets me out of the city and into the woods(to grandmother’s house we go?), and you can usually get pretty good deals mid-week. I was shocked to discover that I haven’t written a review of Cutthroats, considering how often I’ve been there. I go there partially because I’m a captive audience. By the time dinner rolls around I’ve usually been gambling for awhile and don’t really feel like heading out to find food. But, if the food were terrible, or even just okay, the situation would be different. It’s your typical pub-fair, with burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and a few larger entrée dishes. I’ve stuck with the burgers/sandwiches/soups, so that’s all I can really comment on, but the food is consistently good. I’m a huge fan of their loaded potato soup, but wish they would offer a bowl of soup without a bread bowl. However, the soup is creamy, super flavorful, and hits the stop on a chilly winter day. They have a really nice beer list that rotates regularly, so you can usually find multiple things that strike your fancy. The servers/bartenders are friendly, but it does always seem like they are understaffed and hurried. I wouldn’t go to the Hyatt just for Cutthroats, but if you’re going to be there I definitely would stop in for a bite and a brew.

Good appetizers! The calamari and habenero wings were tasty! Customer service was great, we had a super friendly and up beat waiter name Miguel(Mike) who made the dining experience fun.

See my tip. It’s more for management than customers though. Had the table by the door today. $ 150 bill and service left something to be desired. Pretty sad when you spend that kind of money and service is poor. Food was good only reason it got 2 stars.

A+ on the wedge salad and the French Dip. The fries that came with the sandwich were delicious too. They are open late too!

Have had excellent service and solid food here. A little pricey but it is a Hyatt so not unexpected. Will go again if staying at the hotel. Other options around town that are less expensive.

Cutthroat’s Saloon review must begin outside. It’s located next to the casino in the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, I was there just after dark and the pine trees, lake and most importantly the sky was incredible! It smells, sounds, feels amazingly different from California. A fabulous surprise for my senses!:) 20 minutes away in California feels like another world! So fun I went to Cutthroat Saloon for dinner before the casino. I was somewhat reluctant to eat at a saloon, but I managed to hit on the nicest treat-a Saloon salad: mixed greens, black bean relish, citrus vinaigrette, tortilla chips(!), and avocado(plus queso fresco, which I asked to be left off). Sooo interesting, chips in a salad! It managed to hit a perfect tune of wild west Saloon food ala tasty, vegan… the only thing I might do to make the salad even better would be to serve organic vegetables. But really, for a saloon in Nevada I was happily surprised! The staff was lovely, very attentive. I was never left wanting anything for long, my waiter was charming and kept my water filled, never needing anything for long. Someone at my table ordered the soft pretzel and wasn’t impressed(I didn’t try it so I’ll have to go with her word for it). The rest of the menu, while little was vegan is largely incredibly interesting(fish+chips with lemon herb tarter sauce & old bay seasoned french fries; grilled rib eye steak with spiced coffee rub & bbq baked beans; white pizza with cremini mushrooms & pickled sweet peppers). I didn’t drink until I got to the casino so I can’t speak to that but they do have a nice bar:).

We had a good & quiet date night here after the new year. Quick service and my rum & pineapple drink was on point. I had two! My fish and chips was ok. A lil too much bread on my fish but my drinks made up for it! :)

First off their sign said wait to be seated and no hostess around. We asked if we could sit in the table near the TV wall. Sat there. Ordered drinks. There was white lipstick on my friends Irish coffee that had cream on the side for you to add? The waitresses near the poker tables bring better ones. Waiter apologized and brought out another. He also comped a red bull vodka at the end. She ordered a grilled cheese and got pulled pork sliders instead. He left the sliders with us. They ordered Caesar salads as sides and got a full order and a side. Strange. My salmon burger was delicious. Someone’s burger was good. Quesadilla was really good. We shouldn’t have ordered the loaded nachos. I must sat though their habanero chicken wings are the hottest wings I’ve tasted. I would totally lose a hot wings eating contest. The food was decent enough just the experience was ho hum.

One of the best in-hotel, bar and grill, I’ve ever been to. The service from Bobby the bartender was amazing. Every table was full in here and yet he was always right there when you needed him. After having a horrible experience at Lone Eagle Grill, we went here to see Bobby again, were we got our spirits back up gambled away another $ 2000 and didn’t care! I’d recommend everyone go here and try it for yourself, if Bobby is there I’m sure you’ll agree with my views. Bobby’s attitude and experience he gave us saved our views of Hyatt service. We look forward to returning here and getting drinks and grub.

We visited twice during our stay — once adults only and once with kids. Pretty good for a basic pub menu. I don’t know about the other times of the year — but during the summer the waitstaff is fantastic, I think we had Igor from Serbia or Czech Republic… nonetheless, these kids work hard and want to be there… so refreshing vs. an old bitter server that could care less you are there that we have had before. Adult visit– we bellied up at the bar and smashed down their great burgers. At night the lights are dimmed and it can get a bit sleepy in there, but maybe that is what gives it the old time feel. Drinks served in mason jars is always a hit. Kid visit– they loved the burgers and chicken nugget type dish, but loved dancing on the stage more than the food. We weren’t supposed to let them, but the staff indulged them and were nice about it.

We wound up here twice this past weekend and my overall view was that it’s OK. The ambiance is fairly quiet and the décor is nice. The staff is very engaged, helpful and on top of everything. The food was ok but I’ll go through that below. It defiantly has the sports bar appeal but it’s kinda strange that they don’t get UFC fights on PPV. It seems since there’s only one bar in the area that does that it would have been a good marketing move. Anywho. PULLEDPORKGRILLEDCHEESE* It sounded awesome and the presentation was very clean. It’s pulled pork on a mild grilled cheese sandwich(no sharp cheese. It was a white cheese). They use a panini press for the sandwiches so they have a great toasty crust however, the BBQ sauce over powers the whole thing so I found myself using other sauces to balance out the flavor. I ended up with Ranch Dressing. I think this needed a stronger cheese like Gouda or sharp cheddar with tomato. Another option is using 1⁄3 of the BBQ sauce that they currently use. PRIMEDIP* This was pretty good. I believe it was slices of prime rib, provolone cheese on a toasty roll. Again from the panini maker. The au jù was good but a bit on the salty side. My favorite part of this place is that they use mason jars as cups. I can’t comment on bar drinks as we did not drink but the prices are $$ per person with the exception of some drinks on special. Fairly typical for a bar.

Good solid place to eat if you are not in a rush. I love that they serve their drinks in big old mason jars. I had an $ 8 bowl of the chili, which was really good — they use thick chunks of beef rather than ground beef. I also went for the $ 11 calamari, which they serve in long, thick strips like fries, rather than the usual thin crispy tentacles. Very good and a nice surprise — it’s definitely a meal in itself. Service could be more organized. No one seemed to know if someone had already come and done something — no, we haven’t gotten water yet. No, we haven’t ordered yet. Yes, I’d love a refill. Yes, can we please get our bill? PROTIP: If you are a local, make sure you get your local’s card at the concierge desk which entitles you to 20% off at the restaurants and spa.

Came here on july 5th after watching a 2nd round of fireworks. Their beachfront restaurant, lone eagle, was so busy that we couldn’t get a seat in the restaurant/bar area/patio, etc… so we came here at 10:15pm. It’s located inside the hyatt… we ordered a pizza and a chilli«home made soup». The soup, which was quite small, was $ 8 and came with chips. It was heavily saturated with sodium and after 2 sips I opted not to have it and we packed it to go and my man had it the next day. I did not taste any beef at all so i dont know why it’s called chilli soup. He tasted some and said it fell to the bottom. I ended up eating a couple of slices of the pizza. We ordered the vegetarian one. It was ok. nothing special, but you dont’ get awhole lot of food choices in the vicinity.
