Been going to this place since the place opened. It seems the quality of food has steadily gone down. And they keep tinkering with the ingredients to their menu so you have to make sure they didn’t add or take away something from an item you’ve ordered before. That being said the beer is still good.

Stopped in with the guys to have lunch and a beer before heading out to bang some golf balls around National City. Enjoyed grilled fish tacos and a Surf rider beer. Added tater tots. Have to tell you, the cook nailed it on the tater tots. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, plenty of them. I would come back just for the tater tots! Fish tacos were on point as well. Only downside is a small parking lot.

The first time I went I got the ceviche and ahi tacos because usually fish tacos alone don’t fill me up. Each item was filling and absolutely delicious. I instantly became a returning customer. My sister has the street tacos and my boyfriend had a burger and beer. They both loved their food as much as I loved mine :-) The second time I went I had the shrimp tacos, so delicious and filling as well :-) Our friend had a panini, my boyfriend had another burger, and we took home a growler; we all loved our food. Great friendly service, fair appropriate prices. I will be a long time customer and always recommend this place :-) Of course the beer is good.

Once you figure out that no one seats you and you order at the counter first its a cool place. Not much seating but food was amazing. I had the boardwalk burger with an islander ipa. Definitely recommend that.

This is a very nice place right across the street from the IB pier. There is ample parking available. The beer selection is great with all of the favorite Coronado Brewing beers and some that are hard to find. The food is very good. They also serve a very nice breakfast until about noon on the weekends.

I had this place bookmarked for quite awhile and finally dined here in April 2016. It’s a bit different in that you order at the counter first, like a fast food joint, and then they bring you your order. I was happy to be able to sample some of the beers before settling on the Islander. I also ordered the Imperial burger and waited a reasonable amount of time for my order. My beer and burger were great and I would order them again. When ordering a burger you have the choice cole slaw, fries, tater tots, or pasta salad. I ordered the fries and they were delicious. And for the sports junkies, yes, there were plenty of tvs playing sports. The dim lighting near the entrance gives a nice intimate feel and the view from table left me feeling coastal. Not sure when this location was built, but after looking at the wood ceiling it seemed new. My only gripe is that the men’s bathroom is too small. One sink and 2 toilets is not adequate. I would hate to come here when it’s busy because of this.

Since October I visited the Brooklyn Brewery and the Santa Monica CA brewery w my younger daughter. THEN my beloved Air B & B host brought me here twice !! WOW. And YUM ‼‼‼ I don’t live here. But after finding this great place, I wished I lived within walking distance. First I love the true«neighborhood» unpretentious natural feeling of the staff(all great) the décor and the customers. Second ALL the food not only looks terrific it TASTES great. Really great — very home cooked perfect blend of a few spices just enough salt pepper etc and not complex overdone Very very creative(I love to cook). They use good quality oils — no heavy bloated feeling after eating. Third the deeper flavored beer(never got the name(told them I like Guinness Heineken. Nothing too sour sharp) was outstanding really wonderful. One of the VERY best craft beers I’ve had in a long time. Enjoy!

This is a cool spot in a great location in IB! The Blue Bridge Coffee Stout was my favorite, its so good! The restaurant is clean and I think they should expand their size and add more tables! I imagine it can get pretty full in there. I ordered the bratwurst burger. It was good but I didn’t expect to get something that looked like a patty. The garlic tots were the real highlight of my meal! You order up front. Try ordering a flight. We got parking fairly easily on the street. I’ll definitely be returning for more beer and tots!

I love the turkey burger, and I’m pretty attached to the crispy fries. Plus great beer — really can’t complain! Only problem is just how busy it is on nights and weekends, sometimes tough to get a table. But the food makes up for it.

Forever giving this place 5 stars. You have to be crazy not too! I have become a regular here because this place just pulls me back each time! Food is always on point! Beer options are endless! But berry the hatchet will forever be my favorite. I recommend Coronado Brewing Company to anyone!

This place is good if you are wanting to have a beer and some fatty food. They allow you to sample any of the beers if you are undecided. My favorite one was the orange wit(compared to blue moon).

It’s not the real deal but it’s a great satellite location in IB. The menu is limited but there are some gems here like the shrimp Diablo pasta and the artichoke Chicken panini. The beer selection is great if you are an IPA fan but not so much if you like the malty stuff. The Punk’in Drunlic is a great seasonal and now they have the German Chocolate Cake!(Not a desert but a beer). Parking is very tight but there are no meters in IB so you can park on the street. The bar only seats 6 but 3 comfortably and there is seating for about 30.

Breakfast here was just the way to start the morning. Super far south obviously but Coronado Brewing Company is worth the trip. Pesos not accepted(I think). Me and a friend were looking for a breakfast burrito and stumbled into Coronado. Staff was friendly and we ordered and found a place to sit. The inside of the place is very clean and a great vibe. I assume it would be a great place to watch some Sunday football and drink good quality craft beers. When the breakfast burritos arrived(maybe 10 min) they were impressive. The presentation was very cool with a skewer running through the two halves of the burrito and propped up in the plate. The tortilla was a little crispy which is exactly how a burrito should be. Everything in the burrito was well cooked and filling. The burrito landed heavy and the last couple bites were tough to get down. Definitely worth the money and I can’t wait to be in Imperial Beach again for a night. I’ll be back soon to sample all the beers!

While visiting Imperial Beach with family we all met for dinner here on a Saturday night. We arrived after my brother and sister in law who got there earlier to locate a seating for the 9 of us. He said it was very crowded and the line to get in was out the door(a good sign!). When we arrived about a half an hour later, things had apparently settled down and they had just obtained a large table which was graciously relinquished by an older couple who explained they were regulars at this establishment which was nice to hear. I ordered the blackened Ahi tacos. Probably the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. Everyone else in our large party loved what they ordered as well. Not a big fan of ordering at the counter before you eat, but they do serve your order after you’re seated which is a big plus. Great wait staff and friendly counter staff as well. You can’t go wrong here. Probably the best chow in IB although we heard the new hotel across the street is pretty good too.

I gave it a try. I’ve seen pictures of the benedicts and they all look so I had to try this place! I had a hard time deciding but the Cajun hollandaise sauce on the sausage benedict sound perfect! So I get my breakfast and the eggs were barely cooked. I tried the sauce and it had absolutely no flavor! Like a whipped half and half. The only saving grace was the biscuit, man that was a good biscuit! The sausage was pretty good too! Unfortunately, I tried to eat around the uncooked egg since it was kind of a help yourself place. I would think that for the price you pay someone should at least check on you to make sure you didn’t need anything. As we were leaving a girl came over and said how was everything? That’s when I was able to tell her and show her the egg. She was nice to offer to have another made for me but at that point I was good. I couldn’t take any more of that hollandaise sauce. I’d probably go back for lunch for lunch or appetizers and beer, but never breakfast! Because of the lovely message I received from an obvious angry employee… I will take back comment on the possibility of going back. It’s no wonder why every seat in the house was open at 10am!

I am glad they are finally opening up more restaurants in the Imperial Beach area. I decided to check it out with my daughter. There was a line when I got there which I found to be interesting. As I observed I realized you order and pay first and then grab a table if there is one available. This is different than their Coronado location so I found it a bit odd. The place is small so if there’s no tables do you eat standing up? I don’t know I guess I’ll figure it out next time I go. I ordered the jambalaya pasta with a berry flavored beer. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger and fries. I was lucky I found a table and was able to sit down and eat right away. I was very pleasantly surprised with my pasta. It had fresh veggies and chicken and a red tomato sauce that had a bit of a kick to it. Every bite was very flavorful and it came with a piece of garlic bread that had some cheese that was very good as well. The berry beer was very refreshing which was what I was looking for at that time since it was so hot even though it was like 7pm. My daughters burger was a very good size and she loved it. The fries were well seasoned as I snuck a few off her plate :D all in all I was pleasantly surprised because I’ve been to their Coronado location and the food can be a bit bland at times so I expected about the same. Service was good even. You don’t order from your servers but you can get additional things such as condiments from them. I love that there’s good beer close to home. You can even purchase variety packs to take home and you can purchase and refill growlers. All in all a great place to have dinner I do think they should work on their seating system though.

I am glad this place has recently opened up for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays because Imperial Beach could use more breakfast spots. I mean, who doesn’t like having breakfast near the beach. They had a variety of bennies on the menu, but I went for the Short Benedict’s with an Onion Rings and with Hollandaise and a touch of BBQ sauce. The bennies were nice, but the only problem was that they were inconsistent with the poaching of the eggs. One of the eggs was a perfect slow cascading run and the other was hard without the runny yolk. The short rib was very good. It was well seasoned, juicy, and very tender to the touch. The beer battered onion ring was nestled around the poached egg, and I was surprised how well it retained its crunchiness. It also had a very good beer flavor. The Hollandaise was very good and the BBQ sauce came with mild sweetness and slight smoky after taste. You would not think that the two sauces together would not work, but they did, especially eaten with the short rib. The bennies came with house baked biscuit underneath each egg. The biscuits were quite good and had a nice soft but also dense center. Their flavor was mild with just enough baking soda and salt. They were the perfect vessel for these BBQ bennies. The breakfast also came with some breakfast potatoes which were nicely seasoned with spices and herbs and cooked to a tender golden brown. Good potatoes. This review would of easily resulted in a four star event, but I could not overlook the one overcooked poached egg, so for now, I have to settle for three stars. Just when Just when I thought another combination would not surprise me, along came the pairing of Hollandaise and BBQ.

I went here with my co-workers for Administrative Professional’s Day other wise known as secretaries Day. The big boss treated us to lunch. This place used to be the Jersey Boys before going out of business. Coronado Brewery took over this location. It is a brand new building. As we walk in, you see a lady behind the register. The concept is you order and if you get a drink, the lady hands you a cup and there’s a Coke soda fountain station your left. There is also iced tea next to that. I opted for iced tea. I ordered the artichoke chicken panini with French fries. The sandwich was delicious. The sandwich was filled with chicken and the cheese was oozing out. The bread was crunchy. Great flavors blended together. The French fries were good and gave me a good amount of fries. Overall a great lunch. I even took the other half of my sandwich with me. There were pitchers of water to the side and napkins. There is plenty of seating inside. There is also a public restroom. Once you walk in, there is a bar area you can have your drinks at. A really nice restaurant to have lunch. I highly recommend this place if you are in IB.
