I tried out the Matcha Latte with soy milk! OMG! It’s so good!!! Definitely would recommend mixing coffee with soy milk!

Great coffee and nice people. I stop by for a mocha on Fridays for my weekly coffee treat. For drip coffee, normally hit the Au Bön Pain next door because they do that well. I’m not sure ABP has the swagger to make anything requiring a barista. Back to Peets, the mocca and latte are perfectly poured and very buzzy on the caffeine level. The people are nice and the amount of staff is good for the fast pace. I took off a star because the layout of the store gives me agita rather that cool coffee shop vibe. I never know where to stand while I’m waiting for my bar drink and I always feel like I’m in the way. Not really much the store can do about this, but the situation exists.

It’s unfortunate to see this location slide downhill, but that’s what has happened rather swiftly. From messing up simple Cappuccino’s and lattes to where they’re undrinkable, to shrugging their shoulders when they give you a medium, charge you for a large drink; give you a different breakfast sandwich than you ordered; and the last straw, use a partial $ 10 Groupon and then tell you it has a zero balance the next visit when you know darn well they messed up — again. Hey, mistakes happen and no one’s perfect. But at this Peet’s, the mistakes are way more often than when they get it right. For the product they have and the prices they charge, they need to be a lot better and to get it right way more often than they do.

The cold brew is so good! Cute little spot but it is too bad they are not open on the weekend so I could come by more often!

Their light roast has won me over from Starbucks and I now come everyday at least once pm in between my tiring meetings. Nice and friendly staff too! I agree they need to start a rewards program!

The best coffee chain. Ever!!! I always get the iced coffee. They need to get a rewards program going soon with how often I get coffee here!

Hit this place up. It’s a great alternative and the team cares about the drinks the sling from the barista. Good baked goods as well.

I was sad that Caribou closed. But now I rejoice because Peet’s has opened! And I’m quite happy that they kept the former Caribou crew — most pleasant and friendly in Chicago. I’ve always been a fan of Peet’s — three roast levels, good pricing(although I remember a time when code was less than a dollar). And the gingersnap cookies are delicious! Go. Now. And tip these guys cuz they definitely deserve it.

The coffee here is some STRONG stuff! And if you’re a social coffee-drinker like me, you better prepare yourself for that! I had the Salted Caramel latte(I think it was a latte?) and my friend had the Caramel Macchiato. Loved my drink because it’s one of the few salted caramel drinks I’ve had where you can actually taste the salted caramel in the actual drink and not just on the whipped cream they top it off with. Good stuff, but I’m not necessarily dying to be back.

With almond milk as an option, Peet’s is a better alternative to other large coffee chains. They’re a bit heavy handed with the amount of milk they use in their lattes, but if you’re looking to just lighten up your coffee a bit, it’s nice to have almond milk as a choice.
