I had I terrible experience here. God forbid you ask the old balding guy a question he might pull out a trident or bow and arrow. Sorry to ask you a work related question while you are working. I usually wouldn’t take time to Unilocal a package store. Walk in buy beer walk out. Simple enough. When I asked old lucifer if he had bud lights in the tin bottles he replied«maybe look before wasting my time». Didn’t know your package store hours were so important there. Drive by this place and hit the next store. Or maybe go in an give the old man a hard time.

Yay, I’m a Fan, seems to be where we land… It’s close, convenient and carries a very good selection for our needs/wants…We like the box wines discount, buy 4, for 10%: off. The flavored generic vodkas and affordable name brand stuff is great… Not a ‘craft beer’ patron here, so that selection doesn’t matter to me.

For the size of this place it should have a better craft beer selection. I found Richards Wine & Spirits in Readville better choice and its half the size.

Service is poor… I asked an elderly man if they carried ginger vodka and mojito mix. His response was no and that no one carries ginger vodka. He was pretty rude. I went to Blanchards in West Roxbury and guess what — they carried ginger vodka, mojito mix and service was excellent. I will not be returning here.

Super Liquors is passable, but it is also a missed opportunity. The business is really still the former packie, Lank’s, in a bigger, shinier box. They dedicate way too much cooler space to commercial mega-swill, though I am happy they made room for more real beer. Heavy Seas from Baltimore is regularly in stock. Prices really are not«super» discounted. Blanchard’s in West Roxbury regularly carries Harpoon 12-packs for $ 3 less. Their advertised specials are sometimes unclear. For example, if the ad reads Harpoon is on sale, you can’t tell the customer that it’s only the Pale Ale or IPA if that’s not specified. Caveat emptor. Hard liquor prices are on par with competitors. I also hoped for a better wine selection in the new space. There was moderate improvement in the assortment, but nothing to rave about. But Lank’s is the closest halfway decent liquor store to my house, so if I’m not in West Roxbury or don’t want to make the ~15-minute drive, I’ll go here. Service is also efficient and even friendly at times. It’s better than the other options in Hyde Park, that’s for sure. Let me know what you think of this review by clicking a button below. Thanks.

This is my go-to liquor store. They have a great selection of spirits and wine but I come here for the craft beers. Yes, you may be able to get a better selection of craft beers in Somerville or Cambridge, but in the Milton/Hyde Park area, they’re the best. Also, it’s conveniently located next to a Walgreens, an ATM, and the best Stop & Shop I’ve ever been to. There’s also a huge parking lot and the people who work there are friendly and helpful.

Ahhh, Lanks! Just a few short steps from my door… Here’s the scoop. I discovered a great brand of Sake’ on a trip to California. When I got home I went nuts trying to find it in the Boston area. I even asked to it have special-ordered from a well known liquor store… they said I needed to buy a case. I wasn’t ready to commit. Then, I strolled into my local: LANKS. I asked if they could get two bottles and they said, okay. Their general markup is lower than a lot of stores and they had my Sake’ in less than a week. Now they stock it regularly and I’ve sent a few folks over to check it out. The product: Sho Chiku Bai Nigori(unfiltered) Sake’. Served cold, it’s sweet and comes in a big ol’ bottle. Love it. –db.
