This place has great selection of wines. There are lots of discounts for many items and on certain days of the week. The staff are friendly and helpful. I visit here too often for my own good. I like to try new drinks here thats not available at other stores around town. Highly recommended.

Definitely one of the better liqueur stores in the area for craft beer selection. I live in Milton and Hyde Park is my nearest location for beer. This place has the best selection I have found in the 6 months since i moved to the area.

So I wouldn’t go out of my way for this place if I was looking for a great«wine shop» but they do have a decent selection. I’ve stopped in here plenty of times for a bottle of something nice and also for a $ 6.99 big bottle of pinot grigio in the refrigerated section. They also have a decent selection of micro-brew though sometimes I really like something and go back and they don’t carry it anymore. Oh well… The guys that are working most of the time I go in are very nice, friendly… remember me and are awesome on checking out back for something if I can’t find it. They also have a great selection of snacks and wine store staples(cheese & crackers) w/o the crazy mark-up.

Richard’s changed handds about 4 or 5 years ago. This place was excellent under it’s prior owners. Two clerks in particular, Linda and Crystal, were personable and knowledegable. My past half dozen visits over the last year were so unsatisfying I don’t think I’ll be back. Stopped in tonight for an inexpensive bubbly. Asked for Cremant d’Alscace and the guy mopping the floor had no idea what I was talking about. I also noticed a lot of spaces on the wine racks. They’ve become more of a «packy» than the fine wine and cigar emporium they were. Also, they’re really expensive. Example: Chandon Brut at Lank’s Liquors next to the HP Stop & Shop is $ 18.99. It’s $ 21.99 at Richard’s. Freixinet is $ 2 more at Richard’s. If you live in HP, I think it’s worth the drive to Blanchard’s on Centre St. in West Roxbury for a much better selection and more reasonable prices.

This ain’t your typical Readville packie. The wine selection is pretty sizeable for Hyde Park. Yeah, you’re getting more than your fair share of Yellowtail-like mass produced plonk, but you also get a noticeable contingent of upper-level price ranges like Stag’s Leap. The selection was very deep and the prices were reasonable. If you’re not already in the Hyde Park area, there’s really no reason for you to make a special trip there. But whether you like your Night Train in a bag, or your wine served in fine Riedel glasses, there’s something for everyone here.(I picked up a sixer of trendy Peak Organic brand Maple Oat Ale myself).

I love Richard’s — a very nice wine selection from good plonk to really nice stuff. A wonderful place to find new wines, something unusual or something to tickle your fancy. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. From grappa to tokay, they pack a lot of wine in a small space. Prices start as low as $ 6 a bottle to up as high as you are willing to go. They also have freshly baked bread and a selection of cheeses, as well as cigars. A very nice beer selection, and they also carry some nice mixers including a very hard-to-find ginger beer fave of mine! Thursday nights save 20% off of every six bottles. Nice tastings, too! PS — they’re in Readville/Hyde Park, not Milton.

Holy crapsicle’s it’s a cold January day and I’m sitting here thinking about how great it would be to get my hands on a good, warming, soothing, bottle of scotch. I know many places around here that have an OK selection but can only think of 2 that have an amazing selection and if I feel like getting in my car I will go to ‘Richard’s’. If you know the area of Reedville, Dedham, Milton you can find it — otherwise please consult Mapquest to avoid confusion. These guys do it right, tastings for beers, wine, scotch, cheese you name it. They have an astonishing scotch selection and will order(if they can) something if you request them to. They stock some beaut’s. The beer selection is pretty impressive and the staffs wine knowledge is pretty much ‘wow’ — I say this b/c I’ll ask a question being more or less ignorant of wine and they will not look at me like i am some idiot working class hack, schmuck, wastoid — guy. Check em out, you won’t leave empty handed.
