Leslie’s Swimming Pool Supplies

My husband and I went to this location in order to get some things to get our pool balanced again. We were out of town for a few days and with the heat our pool got a little wonky. We walked in and began talking to the man behind the counter (balding guy, apparently is vegan, thanks for the info, dude) and he was immediately condescending and was pretty insulting when my husband was telling him what was going on with the pool and what he was wanting to do. It was the whole «I am a pool expert and you both are dumb as s^&t and don’t know anything about pools». Uh, actually, my husband took care of a pool for years, so he does know quite a bit. I could tell my husband was getting pissed as this employee was spouting off and I tried to make light of it all and even joked with the guy a bit so we could just get some information and then get out of there. As soon as we got in our car my husband said that there was no way that we were going back there and told me to start looking for a different pool supply store.
A few days later we were talking to our neighbor about all of our pools and said we’d had a negative experience at Leslie’s and he IMMEDIATELY asked if it was at this particular location. We told him yes! and he told us that he himself had had the same experience with the same employee and told us to go to another store (NOT a Leslie’s) and that they were much nicer and respectful. Funny thing is, my husband had already been to that new store and liked it MUCH better. The employees were courteous and helpful and were able to point my husband in the right direction to get our pool back on track.
We won’t ever be Leslie’s customers.

This location is by far the best Leslie’s store I’ve been to. Everyone is friendly and courteous when you go there. Duane the manager is helpful and goes above and beyond to make the customers happy. Been to 3 other locations in the Metroplex and the service isn’t even close to what you get here. Went in with a cleaner problem that at other stores they’ve had to keep for a week to fix, here it was fixed in 5 minutes. You’ve got a customer for life. Well, at least while I have a pool and live in the area. Keep up the good work!!! Hard to find good service in any kind of store these days.
