We have been to this Resturent few times steak is good not the best and over priced compared to other steak Restaurants . Drinks and service are good especially what they are charging you. But I still think Peter Lugers has the best steak. Going there for over 20 years and it’s always the same quality.

Definitely a hidden gem! I go here every year for my anniversary and fall in love more each time! Definitely one of the best steaks I’ve had. If you sign up for emails, they are constantly sending our coupons and info on all the deals they are having. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to this steakhouse since I was really young with my parents. I used to love it and it was one of our favorites. Now we only go if we have a gift card to the restaurant because it is over priced for what you get. Last time I went there was no chicken option, I’m not sure if things have changed. For the price you pay I recommend a different steakhouse in the area.

I hadn’t been here for a while and decided to try them again. Again the food is not rung up at the prices on the menu. Ribs advertised at 28 ring up at 30. 2 diet cokes $ 6.50 ?? Really now. That’s a bit much. All in all $ 90 for an average meal at best. I feel a little robbed I have to say. I won’t be back, way better places to spend this type of money

Best kept secret of a steakhouse — –Best cowboy steak ever! The reason we started going there many years ago. Steaks are always perfectly cooked(been to so many steakhouses that can’t seem to get that right). Wine list, wait staff excellent. Had short ribs that were fatty, only once in lifetime complaint.

Excellent dining experience!!! Definitely my favorite restaurant and the best steakhouse around. The atmosphere is very quiet, homey, and welcoming. The staff is very friendly and even remembered us from previously going there. The bread they give you is hot, fresh, and messy, but they even have a guy come clean up the crumbs. Our water was constantly refilled throughout the night as well. We started with a salad, which was also great. Four out of six of us got the filet mignon sandwich, and the other two tried different steaks. We were all more than satisfied with how our meals turned out. The twice baked potato was 100% worth it as well. Cream spinach and macaroni and cheese were our side dishes for the table, which we were also very impressed with. Overall we loved our experience and the food was delicious

My parents came in from Florida and insisted on going here because they use to dine here over 10 years ago. I really wanted to like this place because my parents were so excited but I didn’t. I’ll start with the service– it was horrendous. The waitress was terrible and non attentive. She didn’t write down the appetizers and forgot to bring my father’s soup. She came by the table once when we got her food, never offered to refill, wasn’t personable, really just terrible service. I will say the hostess was super friendly and accommodating. The steak was good but I did ask for medium and got close to raw. Honestly the steak was the only good thing and for $ 45 it better be! I had onion soup which tasted like brown colored water with slimy flavorless strands, yuck! The calamari was all bread crumb which was so over cooked it sounded like a bunch horses eating at the table. The shrimp cocktail was a little off. The string beans were raw and oily. We paid extra for the stuffed baked potatoes and it was dry and tasted like it was from the frozen section at stop and shop. The bill was insane, 4 people, only two people had two alcohol beverages each and it came to $ 360! Don’t waste your money here because it’s over priced for less than mediocre food.

Uncooked food. Terrible service. I decided to go out and have a steak with my spouse. After we placed an order they brought out food. My spouse’s dish was fine while I asked for a medium well steak. When I cut into the steak I noticed that it wasnt even pink. It was ROUGH. Completely uncooked. So I sent it back and asked for a new one. Now my spouse finishes up her dish and the steak comes in. NOW, I noticed that they brought the SAME steak just burned now. So I cut into it again just to find out that its still ROUGH. I decided to just send it back. I left hungry. All I heard from the staff is just excuses. I wrote them a letter via the website and got NORESPONSE from them either. I figured that they will at last apologize but nothing. TERRIBLE customer service and food is not even done the right way.

I dont understand all the negative reviews for this place. My wife and i just had dinner here the other night and it was excellent. Service was attentive and the food was above par. I had the cowboy steak and my wife had the filet mignon. Both were cooked to perfection. They also had good dessert specials… although the normal menu is a little limited and generic. We will be going back. Thanks clubhouse for the excellent experience.

Terrible food. Okay service. Two of us got sick from the food right away. The worst eating out experience ever.

Just had dinner on Saturday night with another couple. The food was just average. The place is very small and very crowded. I do think that the place is very expensive. You can get a much better food at more reasonable prices in a number of other steak places. The check for 4 people came to almost $ 300 and we didn’t even have dessert. I would not go back.

I’ve delayed writing this review because it breaks my heart. I’ve been coming to the Clubhouse for over 30 years. It has always been our go-to for special occasions. My husband and I would go here when we were dating and I wasn’t allowed to drink yet. Year after year anniversaries or milestone birthdays were celebrated with the BEST steak money could buy. We would always order the«cowboy» marinade cut… special price — never printed on the menu. ALWAYS get the house salad — creamy tarragon, tossed tableside(or nearby). Fast forward … haven’t been there in years. My husbands birthday I make surprise reservations. HOWEXCITED when he realized where we were headed ! HE of course ordered the ribeye(cowboy) I ordered a piece of salmon — we’ll share. We sat, ordered a bottle of wine, started noshing on the bread set on the table and right there — the meal climaxed. it was all downhill from there. Escargot appetizer — rubbery. Fried calamari app… rubbery. the coveted tarragon salad — not very fresh lettuce(not washed?) seemed like it had been sitting around in the kitchen a while… and NOTTOSSED — dressing in a metal cup. that’s ok — we’re getting the awesome steak. 18oz ribeye! well… I’ve never had a ribeye cut so thin. it was barely ¾ in thick… where are we? Rubt Tuesday? we ordered med-med/rare. they’re was NOJUICEFLOWING from this piece of meat and it was tough to cut. The baked potato was the highlight of the plate. Usually I have no problem sending back, but my husband wasn’t feeling well and not up to a fight As for my salmon… it tasted and LOOKED like it was popped out if a lean cuisine box. not good not good not good. SMALL dining room, you’d think the server would make it to the table more often to check on us. Another reviewer said not to judge the restaurant by restaurant week. It was restaurant week, not we did not order off the prix fixe menu. I whole heartedly DISAGREE because if you’re not on your best behavior for restaurant week… why bother?

We were not a fan if this place. It cost 200 bucks and the best thing I are was the veggies. Calamari was over cooked the sauce the blend the 85 dollar steak was nothing special. Could have done it better on my BBQ. This place is over rated and filled with reg. that don’t know any better. Don’t waste your mine or time we already did.

First of all, do not judge a restaurant based upon your«restaurant week» visit. That is absurd. Secondly, do not say that a steak is dry if you order it well done, or that a cut of beef is fatty if you order a Rib Eye. You’re an idiot. Great Local place. I have eaten here many times and while sometimes you could say that the food was better than others, it is always consistent. Very good. Atmosphere is great, cozy, nice little bar. The bartender Hollie is a sweetheart and makes a delicious martini, the hostess is nice as well. As much as I love this place, there are a few waitresses with less than a charming personality, but easy to deal with once you catch a buzz. They will always bring you what you ask for. My new thing is sitting at the bar to eat. Pro’s: Steak, French Onion Soup, any/all Specials Con’s: Crab Cake

This steakhouse is definitely good but it’s not«the best I’ve ever experienced» and I just can’t warrant 4 or 5 stars for something that is just«ok» or «acceptable». The place is located on Jericho, parking is limited, you have to valet. This spot is definitely for an older crowd. The two times my husband and I have come to this spot, there wasn’t a soul under 50 in there. This isn’t where you’re going to grab a drink at the bar, this isn’t where you’re going to have a cocktail and dinner with girlfriends. This place kind of reminds me of Cheers… but a restaurant version. The food wasn’t decent. Can’t really complain or rave. It was quite pricey for being mundane. I would go here with a large group… the dining room isn’t really that big. The drinks we had were eh… and that’s less than a complaint because I drink vodka with seltzer so how you mess that up… I’ll never know. Bottom line, if you need somewhere to eat and other places are booked you won’t die here lol. It’s pretty clean from what I saw and the food is edible.

Great steak and ambiance. Very small inside and sometimes a little bit of a wait but well worth it. Slightly above average pricing but all well worth it. Small bar inside to pass the wait time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Met a buddy for a quick lunch. Staff was friendly & welcoming. I had the most tender filet, no knife needed. My buddy got the steak sandwich and he said it was perfect. Worth the trip.

Didn’t know what to expect from this restaurant because of so many different reviews ranging from great to terrible. My experience was great, very nice cozy atmosphere and the place was packed on a Thursday night(a good sign). WE ordered the Mozzarella Burrata salad with roasted peppers, onions, toast points, balsamic demi glaze and drops of pesto… Burrata means«buttered» A very rich, and gooey creamy cheese stuffed inside a fresh mozzarella. One of the best I’ve had. Next was the entrée’s I ordered the cowboy steak, every night is a different cut, luckily tonight was my favorite«T-Bone». They marinate the steak in a cowboy marinade made of Gold Souza Tequila and lime, another show stopper. My wife had the Filet Mignon with Sauce Au Poivre(tri color peppercorns, brandied cream, touch of demi glacé). The Filet melted in your mouth. The Filet came with rice pilaf and my T-Bone came with a baked potato. This is where they lose a star, the waitstaff though friendly is more like being serve in a diner, they forgot the many toppings for my potato and didn’t have the skills and professionalism of a fine dining steak house. We ended with a Reese’s peanut butter brownie with vanilla ice cream that was delicious. We will be going back soon. A great gem that’s been in business since 1962 with the original owners, can’t say that for most places.

I had a great chicken special. Although the salad beforehand was just a place of lettuce with two tomato wedges stuck at its side. Good service.

I’d like to start by saying, i’d give the place a 2.5 stars if I could. Went during long island restaurant week with 2 of my friends, based on a recommendation from my dad who ate here years ago. The place is nice, small, quiet and cozy. Service was good, hostess was very nice and asked immediately if we wanted any drinks, i dont know what it is, but I find this to be service instead of maybe having to wait forever for your waiter/tress to come over. For those of you who don’t know, places that participate in restaurant week, you get to choose an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. 2 of us ordered the crab cake, and 3rd ordered the clams for appetizer. There were not enough clams to really share with each, so I can not give my own opinion on them, but I was told they were just alright. As far as the crab cake goes, if you’ve ever been to the baltimore inner harbor, you what a goooood crab cake is, and this was unfortunately far from one, but the wasabi sauce was good, its only redeeming quality. For entrée, again, 2 of us got the skirt steak(med /med-rare), and my other friend ordered the strip steak(med-rare). we each tasted each others, the strip steak was not that great. Major’s right down the road is a much better choice for it. As far as the skirt steak goes, I personally have an extremely hard time ordered skirt steak out, because, not to toot my own horn, I make an incredible skirt steak(even a chef friend of mine admits it). The skirt steak in its own element, was cooked perfect, and for a zero marinate steak, was good, but that was it, it was just good, not great, which it should be for a ‘steakhouse’. Dessert, again, 2 of us ordered the cheesecake, and my other friends the apple bread pudding. i’m not a fan of bread pudding, but he said again, it was just okay. The biggest redeeming factor to the whole night, was that the cheesecake was pretty good, and what made it good, was the raspberry(i think) jam, and whipped cream was extremely good. It made you want to eat the cheesecake and ask for another piece. So, I would not go out of my way to eat here again, but if you are real close, and don’t want to make the extra 5 – 7 minute drive to Majors, i guess i’d understand if you ate here…
