Fresh and fast, amazing flavors! Homemade pitas that are soft, strong yet delicate to chew! Freshly made for each order! I had the best fallafal ever(and I order them whenever I can) the fallafal was put together perfectly so that you were always guaranteed a good mouth full of delicious flavors. My husband had a lamb kabob which he states was exquisite, tender and flavorful with incredible sauces! Again served w fresh pita, great salad and veggies. Even the side of delicate rice topped w shredded carrots was amazing. Can’t wait to return for more fresh healthy and flavorful food! Try the special home made hot sauce!

We went here for an early dinner with 6 people and shared a fairly large number of dishes. Everything was flat out delicious. A pleasant surprise because the ambiance is at best OK(if ambiance doesn’t matter, it is 5 stars). Just a very few crowded tables. Also note that the entrance is not on Gerard as their address states. It is in the corner of the parking lot behind Jonathans restaurant off of Clinton Ave, next to Dunkin Donuts . Now, to the food… A couple of real stand outs were the Shawerma, Lamb Kebabs(very tender and tasty lamb cubes), and the Shrimp Kebabs. All served with rice, yogurt sauce and an interesting beet sauce. Everything else we ordered was at least good or better. The food was so good we decided to go for desserts and were rewarded with terrific flaky Baklava with just enough honey. Delicious. Prices were very fair and everyone was friendly. We will be back. It is also a great place for takeout.

This place was okay. For the money, taste, or portions, I wasn’t impressed and won’t return. It’s healthier than a lot of take out options though. I really liked their pita bread and my husband liked their pink salad dressing.

What a find! Fresh Mediterranean food served in a contemporary setting. Nice combination of order at the desk and they bring it to your table. And no-this isn’t the«gyro» place… this is fresh salads, falafel and kabobs all well seasoned with very crisp tossed green salads, home made beet salad and dressings served by the friendly and very accommodating staff. Prices are super reasonable. Been here 4 times and it’s all good. BTW they have a BYOB policy! Can’t go wrong. Great for couples. families and even groups. When in Huntington Village, this is our go to spot.

Great simple tasty food. Friendly staff, meat, veggies, a little bread, at a good price. What more can you ask for except better parking in Huntington!

Amazing meal and dining experience. BYOB made dinner with the wino girls fun and inexpensive. Service was fast and efficient. Owner was great! Hummus was to die for and so was the shawarma. Such a great place!

Hidden, delicious and priced to visit frequently! The boy and I headed into town looking for lunch. Originally headed to another destination that was closed, we saw this gem. Quant and set off to the side, almost in an alley, we ventured in. A small venue with about 4 — 2 tops 2– 4 tops and a back row of seating, this casual spot doesn’t have formal wait service, order at the counter for take our or to sit. The food though… Yum! We had hummus, falafel plate and chicken Kebob. All top notch. Hummus came out with fresh warm bread and smooth creamy hummus. Falafel was moist and delicious. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. We topped it off with tiny coffees :) Pink Floyd was playing on the radio. They had a TV but it strictly played advertising. I was too busy enjoying myself to care. We will be back.

I go for the falafel so I can’t speak much to the rest of the menu. The falafel is fresh and delicious and consistently good. 4⁄5 because they offer a groupon but don’t specify that the $ 17 for 30 voucher is a single-use voucher. They have the opportunity to specify the rules and conditions there, but you won’t find out about it until you show up. I was hoping to get 2 – 3 lunches spread over a few days, instead I had to buy 3 lunches and store them for future use. Besides that, A+.

I only wish I could give this place TENSTARS. Absolutely Amazing Food!!! I could eat here everyday! The owner is such a sweet person who treats his restaurant like his home! The salad dressing is unlike anything I’ve ever had. Brace Yourself: He makes the pita bread in front of you from scratch… I’ve only ever seen this in high end middle eastern/Mediterranean restaurants in the city. It’s incredible! Another Bonus is BYOB and Delivery!

Order delivery once a week, super fast. Had falafel, chicken, and steak kebobs so far. Food is delicious. Looking forward to eating in. Love the sides of fresh cucumber and beets– can’t beat it, so healthy!

Very good place, friendly staff, present owner, great(healthy) food choices. My only complaint is that it is hard to find, the address listed is not the one where the restaurant actually is. The entrance is through an alley on Wall Street or through the parking lot behind Gerard street but not on Gerard street itself. And the ambiance is of a take-out only place. Few tables to sit, not really a good place to meet someone for lunch for example. But the food is very good!

Heard about this place from a family member, so I decided to check it out. On first glance when I walked in, I really enjoyed the décor of the place; very pleasing to the eye. The kitchen is nice and open so you can see your food being made and who is making it, and the menu is on the wall right in front of you when you walk in. One gripe I’d have is that I wish the menu on the wall had the prices listed on it, because I didn’t see any when I was looking. I ordered the Lamb Kabab to go, and the order was done in about 5 – 7 minutes. The staff behind the counter was very friendly and I chatted with them while the order was being made. This seems like a good thing(and it was nice to be able to chat), but this was at 6pm on a Saturday night; this place should have been rammed with customers, and it was dead quiet. I worry that the location of this place is hurting their business. It took me about 10 minutes to get home, and when I sat down to eat the kabab was room temperature; not the restaurant’s fault, though I wish they used something a bit more insulating for a container than plastic so the meat stayed warmer(minor gripe though, not a big deal). The dish came with 2 kababs on wood skewers, with Lamb and red bell peppers. They were served on top of a green salad with cucumbers, and the 2 sides were rice(with I think lentils in it?) and chilled beets with a beet dressing that reminded me of Thousand Island dressing. The dish also came with naan bread that was quartered. The meat itself was very tender and flavorful, and the sides were all great, but I paid about 17 dollars for this meal, and the portions were not exactly big. Now, to be fair, I’m a bigger guy, so I have a larger appetite, but for 17 dollars I expect a bit more than 2 small kababs and some rice/vegetables. I’d be content with that meal for about 12 – 13 dollars; 17 is a touch high for what I got. Overall great food, great service, portions were a bit small and price was a bit high but I’d probably come back here again.

Alright fellas… wanna impress your lady? Get some take out food from this joint and take her on a picnic to either Hecksher park(10 min walk) or Theodore Roosevelt park in Oyster bay(10 min drive) It was a beautiful August Saturday night… all the restaurant were jam packed already… Just wanted something simple for my lovely lady and I to eat while we watch the sunset. This place is a bit hidden — but the plus side is that there is a parking lot very close by, and we all know how Huntington village lacks any great parking. I already purchased my Groupon — ahhhh gotta love saving money… We got the chicken kabobs and the falafel platter to go. It came with a very generous portion of bread, salad, beets and rice. Everything was delicious. The people who work there are extremely friendly, and the food came out fast. Inexpensive, delicious, healthy AND quick?! WINNER. They are also open for lunch!

I like this restaurant a lot. It’s Persian(Iranian) cuisine. They add some interesting Indian elements such as nan bread and samosas, so that makes things interesting. They used to make lentil soup but they put that on hiatus. I think they should bring that back plus ash-e-reshteh(classic Persian soup). Overall, the service is outstanding, and it’s a charming alleyway bistro where you can eat outside during pleasant months like this. They also make the best kookoo sabzi ever. Go to any other Persian restaurant and the quality of said dish is nothing compared to this place. By the way, the pink dressing is beet dressing and it’s quite good, give it a try!

This is one exceptional place. The chicken and steak kebab platters came with fresh salad, yogurt sauce, coocoo bread and rice. The sauce and beet dressing were excellent. The meat was tender and seasoned well. Very little wait. The owner was very nice. Live kinda far, but if I’m in the area I will definitely be back.

I’m not sure what the people who are loving this place are thinking! What is their point of reference? I don’t get it… The people who work there are nice, the bread is pretty good, ehem cough cough, uhh that’s it. I had the chicken which was supposed to be their specialty, I was expecting flavor, but nope, not so much. The yogurt sauce was not too happening. Just blah. So there was salad and a very strange tasting and looking dressing. The dressing was pink, enough said. Oh, and the tiny bit of rice was ok, kinda bland and dry. Waaaaa, I want a redo…

I’m a shawarma fan. Let’s get that out there. When a friend texted me about this new spot in hton, I was there the next day. First thing you need to know, it’s BEHIND all the shops on 46 Gerard, facing the parking lot. Don’t expect to drive past it. It’s a small, cute place. Maybe 6 tables inside with 2 outside. To me, the menu is full of nonsense(see my first line) until you get to #13, the Tasty Coo Coo Shawarma. That thing is LARGE. It comes with a small side of rice(went untouched) and small pickled veggies. The sammie itself is filled with nice pieces of chicken in sauce with plenty of veggies all wrapped in a large pita. Check my pic for the visual. The side of sauce was a nice touch, but rarely touched bc the chicken was moist and sauce was pouring all over the place(can’t really close the end of a pita, ya know?). I left messy and stuffed with shawarma. In my book, that’s a darn good time and a welcome addition to Hton. Let’s also discuss the price… compared to a similar shawarma sammie in NYC, you’re gonna pay about double. Knowing that going in helps(sort of).
