First & Last Visit. Was in the mood for soft serve and someone told me to come here. They only had dietetic something-or-other as soft serve so I thought I’d give it a try. Employee acted as if I got in the way of her texting. Employee did not ask what SIZE I wanted(as her brain was still back in her text). I had to ASK for a Large. Ordered a Large cone. Got handed a small/medium cone that was dripping… a lot. I was all: «That’s a large?» She was all: «Well the mixture is not firm enough yet to pile it higher». So she charged me $ 4.89(!) for a Large cone and handed me a small/medium. With no guilt or anything. I did not dispute this but I guess I should have – I was in a hurry to catch a train. Soft serve was terrible-as if it was not ready to be served yet– fake– drippy frozen«yogurt». Probably cost them a whole .49 cents to make. Never coming back. Management needs to tell employees that there are«variables» in situations like this and she should have charged me HALF price because I did not get what I ordered. Too many ice cream options in Huntington to get ill-conceived service/product . You were warned.

Although the ice cream is a little pricey … I love the pistachio here. It’s the best I’ve had !

Very, very good ice cream. Made on premise. Standard and interesting flavor selections. Personal favorites are the Mississippi Mud which has a strong espresso undertone with very rich chocolate and the Crumb Cake(special — not always available) that has pieces of crumb cake strewn throughout — really good. The hot fudge is fantastic — not overly sweet with that soft bitter element that makes for a true hot fudge. The ice creams are rich so I would recommend going with a less complex selection if you want the hot fudge. The chocolate sprinkles are made from… Real chocolate! Not the mass produced, sugar sprinkle with chocolate«flavor»! The owners are very nice people who live in the community and give back to it. They are great supporters of the Cinema Arts Centre in Huntington. Go and enjoy a really, really good ice cream and walk the village, a great way to pass some time.

I’m happy they have non-dairy options. Some of the flavors are sickly sweet, but some are very tasty.

Ice cream was delicious. I got cherry vanilla with their special real-chocolate sprinkles. So much better than regular sprinkles.

Sunday night, August 2nd. The kids working there seemed to think it was funny they closed a little early. I didn’t think it was funny. They could have allowed us in. I wonder if the owners care?

I don’t see what all the fuss is about this place. My wife and I were recently in Huntington for dinner and she wanted to stop because she heard great things. The good, they have very creative ice cream flavors. Seriously, I had a Kentucky Bourbon Vanilla, where else will you find that. Service was also good. The employees worked fast and efficient and offered samples as we were waiting on line. This helped keep the line moving. Unfortunately, the creative flavors and good service can not make up for sub par ice cream at a premium price. The ice cream was very icey and not creamy at all and two small cups(1 scoop each) with hot fudge was almost $ 11. I have no issues paying a premium for something if it’s warranted, the ice cream at Herrell’s just isn’t. Next time we will have to go to Ben and Jerry’s.

The girls behind the counter are atrocious. Not a smile not a pleasent hello or anything. It’s more like what do you want with an attitude. Especially the skinny girl with her tat promintly displayed on her arm and her silly boy band knit hat on. Worthless

Herrell’s ice cream is the best — period. The best vanilla(get High Definition Vanilla, not«Vanilla»), the best mint chip, the best coffee, the best chocolate(Love their Mexican Chocolate), and seasonal flavors(mmmmm… pumpkin). Whats more, they have a secret weapon that always gets my business — they have 2 oz «kiddie» scoops you can order. Who can’t fit in half a scoop? As I’ve found out apparently I can every time I pass by :)

It’s simply the best! The chocolate sprinkles are a MUST topping on your scoop… Even if you don’t like sprinkles, you must try it!!! Seriously…

I was honestly underwhelmed with this place. I have friends that swear this place has the best ice cream in Huntington. It’s good, but it’s really not THAT great. I had the coffee cake ice cream. Again, it was good but it wasn’t exciting. However, I must note that both the counter workers were very nice and patient. I walked out of there thinking two things: 1. Ben & Jerry’s has more adventurous flavors than they do. 2. I just don’t understand the hype behind this place.

If you want that homemade old-fashioned ice cream like you had when you were a kid, then this is the choice for you while on the north shore. I’m in love with the Burnt Sugar ‘n’ Butter with panoush syrup.

Love the home made fresh ice cream in Huntington Village. As I have stated in previous reviews, I am a dairy fanatic and this place is wonderful. I got the before and after in a small. It’s basically cookie dough with baked cookies also! Get it-before &after? I will definitely be coming back to try more flavors and their homemade whipped cream and hot fudge! Mmm!

First I’ll say that most of the store is focused on dairy ice creams. While this kind of food causes health, environmental and social justice issues that I work professionally to educate the public about, I’m actually writing this review about the non dairy ice creams that they serve. I figured that giving a 5 star rating isn’t likely going to encourage more dairy eating– however, this review may let some of you who eat dairy, know just how amazingly delicious their non-dairy products taste! They’re called No-Moo(as in no mooing cow!). I’ve tried a decent number of non-dairy ice creams, and I’m prepared to say that the chocolate No-Moo is the best chocolate, non-dairy ice cream that I’ve ever had … in my life. That’s right, I’ve said it. In fact, it may be the best chocolate ice cream of any kind that I’ve ever had. Now, keep in mind that my memory of dairy ice cream is a bit hazy, since I haven’t had it in over 30 years :). The chocolate No-Moo is rich and chocolaty. I mean RICH&CHOCOLATY in the most delightful way. It’s kind of like… maybe… a browny translated into ice cream.(I’ll check the accuracy of that statement next time I try it.) One way or another, dairy or non-dairy eater, try the chocolate No-Moo, and you won’t regret it. Also tried the … Maple Walnut No-Moo. It was a rather fine dessert-eating experience as well. I don’t aspire to eating even non-dairy ice cream too often, since it does not do a body good. But for those social times when you want to splurge and have some non-dairy delights in Huntington… you now know where to go. For someone who lives in Huntington, I have to exercise control by not stopping in too often. «Oh, I’d better go to the post office for the sixth time today… and while I’m at it…» :-)

I’ll give it 4 stars because i know people come here for the ice cream and everyone I ever asked how they liked it seemed to think it was fantastic. I came here from time to time for the Vegan Ice Cream called No-Moo once a week. Sadly, this is no longer available and the only place in town that offered Vegan Ice cream no longer has it. Hello other 8 places in Huntington that serve ice cream… an opening has been created.

Herrell’s is a traditional ice cream shop in the heart of Huntington. They have a lot of special flavors. I got the coffee cream ice cream in a waffle cone. It was delicious and they did not skimp on the scoops. Great choice for dessert in the area.

Some of the best tasting ice cream hands down! They have very good customer service as the girl serving us explained they make the ice cream in house and she let us taste the flavors and offered us the mini 4 scoop sampler being it was our first time there. Homemade vanilla and chocolate whipped cream and hot fudge were a real treat! As far as the ice cream is concerned Strawberry, Purple Cow — black raspberry with white chocolate chips, Pistachio, Mud Pie, and Chocolate pudding were our favorites! Outstanding! Mmmmmmmm!!!
