Went nye and didn’t know they had limited menu until we walked in for our reservation. Looks like they weren’t taking resos from Unilocal but the Unilocal app let us make it. Weird. Either way got sat and we tried to make the best of it. Started with a couple cocktails. They were both on the sweet side. Had some oysters… pretty good. Saw a scallop/seafood risotto dish a girl was having next to us and it looked good. So both me and my friend ordered it and when it came out, it was half her plate size. It was super tiny and almost embarrassing. The scallops were cooked to perfection, risotto was ok. Then moved onto the most anticipated part… the dessert. Ordered the foiegras ice cream with date bread pudding and crisped prosciutto. The date bread pudding that looked like a waffle tasted so dry and stale. Looks like we’re supposed to get a apple compote but we did not! :/ Perhaps i’ll have to try another time, trying their regular menu. Looks like they have a pretty good happy hour too. The 3 things they seem like they have down: 1) great server service(cute too! Haha) 2) cool/poshy décor 3) creative menu

I came here for an event my friend was hosting at night so I didn’t get to eat anything there. I did get to try an adiós though, which is my friend’s drink of choice so she got that for me as well. I don’t know who the bartender was, but they made that drink STRONG! It wasn’t too strong though, still a good tasting adiós. On a side note, staff there is beautiful. The design and layout of the place is nice to look at as well with some interesting choice in furniture. It doesn’t really distract from the overall ambiance of the venue though. Outside is a smaller bar with these really nice fireplaces, filled with these cool stones. Definitely gave it a nice touch. Overall my experience there was pretty nice :) Hopefully there will be an update on this review once I experience the food here too. So for now lets just say this was based on more of the Lounge-y side that OPM had to offer.

Friends suggested to come out and have some drinks here at OPM on a Friday night. Came out and the place doesn’t look like anything great from outside, but once you walk in the place is very modern and nice. We only stayed for about a hr because it was a slow night but the lighting, décor, areas are well setup and I would like to come back and see what its like on a busy night. Seen the menu and pictures of the food they offer and looks amazing and thats something else I need to come back and try out also. Really nice place that I would highly suggest for people to check out.

To bad this review had to be this way all because of a server and lack of organization of a restaurant. There is more bad things to write but I’ll only list a few. I organized a birthday dinner at this place for Saturday night. Menu looked good online and I knew the venue was beautiful as I had been there once for a drink. First they didn’t have my reservation from a week ago, luckily I called Saturday to reconfirm the morning of and I was luckily placed back on the list. Got to the venue at 9pm. It was a ghost town. I was greeted by Mike, he was the sweetest one in the whole place! That man knows service! Thanks Mike!!! First the menu was nothing as it was online. Second of all, they didn’t have most of the items available and when i asked why, they said they were closed the day prior. How is this my problem??? Moscow mule after the first cup, they ran out. When I asked for a drink, Gabriel said I’ll get you something else. When I asked him what it was, he said«don’t worry about it» with a hand gesture to follow. Wth, I need to know what I’m drinking! Not to mention rude service and cold food comes the bill. We were over charged by plates of items and brought back with a finalized receipt which we paid cash for. Handed Gabriel our payment and proceeded outside to the fire pit for a night cap drink. Minutes later Gabriel followed us and told us he made a mistake and owed 2hundred some dollars after the rest of the party had left(everyone took care of their own portions). We proceeded to tell him we paid our bill as he asked and his mistake is not our issue as we already paid and so did everyone else. Fast forward 3 days. The one friend who paid with ATM(the amount he authorized was $ 125) checked his bank account today and OPM charged his bill an unauthorized amount of $ 250. He authorized $ 125. How does a restaurant charge more money on a card? Isn’t that fraud/stealing? Not everything is negative though. Whatever food they had available was good if not cold. Mike is the best thing at OPM and the venue is beautiful.

Decided to mosey on in for a drink one evening with a buddy and the place was a ghost town. Only one table was occupied and there was absolutely no gringos at the bar. We plopped down and ordered our dranks and everything was tip-top. Strolled out on the patio and toasted our faces by the fire. The ambience was svelte, dark, moody and brooding. We tried to chat it up with the all-girls table celebrating a birthday or something but they wanted nothing to do with me. So apparently they were still sober and the restaurant wasn’t dark enough to hide my hideousness. What a bust. Anyway, my real gripe is about the bill. A drink was already $ 10 for Jameson, but they added a $ 2.50 surcharge for«on the rocks». I mean come on bro, are these VOSS ice cubes or something? I mean I’m pretty rich so money wasn’t the issue, it’s just the principle of it all you know? I’ve never seen a place charge for getting a drink with ice before, y’all should prob stop doing that. I was almost offended but 2016 Lu is forgiving and way more zen.

Wow. You wouldn’t think looking at this place from the outside that it’s so fancy inside. The owners did a really nice job with the décor. Came here for appetizers and drinks before heading over to Casa Inka for dinner and we were really impressed with the layout. When you walk in, the street level of the restaurant has two seating levels within it(lower level is for smaller parties, couples and upper level is for larger parties). There’s also a basement, which can be rented out for private parties(engagements, holiday parties, graduations, etc.). I loved the King & Queen chairs and tables they have setup against one of the walls for couples – made us feel like we were Royalsssss(nah we’ll never be royals… it don’t run in our blood… that kind of lux just ain’t for us, we crave a different kind of buzz) ;) There’s a small stage for the DJ and small dance floor directly in front of it. There’s strobe lights all over so I’m sure this place is crackin’ at night, but we left before those shenanigans began. Food/Drinks: Pork Belly Buns were good, we enjoyed the flavor, but not sure if we would order them again because the pork was a bit chewy. And the price was kinda hefty at $ 14 for only 3 buns. For my drink, I ordered the 99 Problems, which is made with Vodka, Amaretto, peach purée, lemon, Prosecco and strawberries. I loved this drink, but would’ve enjoyed it more without the peach(that’s just personal preference ’cause I’m not into peaches). Their beer selection includes IPAs, Lagers and Ales and they have a good selection of White and Red Wines. Overall, based on my first visit, I give OPM3.5 stars. If you’re in the area and want to grab a drink, listen to music, drive Cadillacs in your dreams and want to live that fantasy… then you should give OPM a visit!

Sunday Brunch exists at this nightlife-oriented restaurant/lounge in HB. I haven’t experienced the nightlife at OPM, but for the brunch get-together my girlfriends and I enjoyed this particular small party. The 4 of us shared OPM’s Cheesy Tots($ 7), which are the bite-sized starched yummies coated with melted gruyère, minced bacon, chives, and truffle oil. The last ingredient was rather faint to distinguish and the bacon could have been more munificent, but these perfectly fried potatoes were unsurprisingly addictive and abundant for 4 females. While my 3 gals knifed and forked on their Bennies, I had a handful of my Breakfast Sammy($ 14) alongside a basket full of tasty shoestring fries that were more plentiful than the Tots. The truffle brioche was soft without going so flat, and had that delicate truffle oil touch. My sliced ham was scrumptious and effortless to chew with my bacon slices and egg over medium(which is my personal preference, and the cook did an excellent job frying this as I expected). Most importantly, my Sammy wouldn’t really stand out if it weren’t for their Spicy Aioli that I’m guessing that Sriracha played a major role in that creamy sauce. Although we didn’t choose the $ 15 bottomless mimosas – we did not want to isolate the girlfriend who was still recovering from her sickness – our tab came out to be roughly $ 22 per person. Our server was superbly accommodating and genuinely warm; she was thankfully patient when one of the gals arrived over 15 minutes late before all 4 of us started ordering. I certainly will be returning to OPM for another brunch gathering, or for a private soirée at the top floor section. More enticingly, their underground room can be rented for 150 party peeps at a minimum of $ 1000.

I’ve been here twice now. Once for a birthday event and once for brunch. Both times were good experiences. For the birthday event, my girlfriend booked out half of the top floor. I got the chance to try their popular chicken lollipops, tacos, and appetizers. It wasn’t enough food so me and some friends ordered some ribeye and truffle fries. All of the food was good. My favorites were the chicken lollipops and the steak. The cocktail waitresses were VERY slow with our drinks and weren’t that friendly. Borderline rude. Other items they have for dinner include their popular bone marrow, seafood items, pork belly, other steaks, chicken, and desserts. For my brunch experience, I came with three other ladies at 11am on a Sunday. It was pretty empty inside. We made reservations and our table was already ready. We shared their cheesy tots which was delicious. I got for myself their mushroom benedict with added smoked salmon. It was okay. It contained an English muffin, perfectly cooked poached eggs, smoked salmon, mushrooms, and topped with hollandaise sauce & chives. I thought it good but nothing that blew me away. It also came with some asparagus that were perfectly cooked. Brunch items are all reasonably prices. All benedicts range from $ 12-$ 16. During brunch hours, their menu is kinda small. They offer other brunch items, including pancakes, the famous seafood tower, mimosas, and make-your-own bloody Marys. I will be coming back for those! The service was excellent during this time. Our waitress was very friendly, accommodating, and sweet. For brunch for 4 without drinks, our total came out to be $ 74. Pretty reasonable. OMP is a great venue for events and large parties. You can reserve the top floor of the restaurant for smaller parties. They also have a downstairs area for larger parties. The downstairs reminds me of a Speakeasy that can be entire booked out. It has a full bar. Their price starts at $ 1000 for downstairs and fits 150 people. The restaurant/venue is cute but is a little gotti looking. The type of people who come here are those you find at the local Asian bars.

Came here real quick just to get warmed up before the TU. We ordered the bone marrow(of course), pork belly, & ceviche to distract our stomach for the time being. As for drinks we got the jacks old fashioned and the stanza fumosa. Let’s start w/the drinks first. The Jacks OF tasted no different from the original OF. Now the stanza tho whewwwww now that’s a good drink! It smells smokey and sure enough tasted smokey. Big kudos to that drink! Now let’s talk about the food. Nothing blew me away but it was a pleasant surprise tho. Usually places like this don’t come thru w/the food but it was do-able. You know I had to try the bone marrow(I like to try this whenever it’s on the menu). Now I can say I did and won’t get it ever at least not here. Basically nothing beats bestia’s bone marrow. I liked the little baguettes it comes with along with the interesting jam more than I did the bone marrow. The pork belly was basic AF. I love playgrounds pork belly so thought I’d try it out here. The bun clings to your teeth like a MF. The pork itself was meh but the little mango salad thing on the side was alright. Ok and the shrimp ceviche. Nothing special there and we wondered why we even ordered it after we did bc no one does it right other than Mexican spots. Nothing was amazing but if you’re hungry it’s def worth trying it. This place is really random but it’s a nice change. Décor is super cute and will be returning w/the girls just for drinks. Service was good, prompt, and attentive.

Me and my gf loved it here! We came to celebrate her blated birthday, and everything was perfect. Joon was our waiter, and he made our experience wonderful. He patiently explained each dishes that came out, and had great suggestions. Coming in I thought the place would be all frills, and no substance, but the food is actually really good and some of the dishes are quite innovative. We chose a bunch of first bites to get a taste of everything and shared an entrée. Beet and goat cheese salad w/grilled Bosch pears and grapefruit– Pretty presentation, and a really great starter! Caesar salad w/fried poached egg– Yum! I’ve never had a fried egg on top of my Caesar and it made the dish very unique. The salad was light and well-balanced. Chicken lollipops– One of my fav! I loved the sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top. Bone Marrow– I’m not usually a bone marrow kinda gal, because I feel like it’s a waste to be paying for FAT. But my gf loves it, and since it was her bday I wanted her to get it. It actually wasn’t too bad. My fav was the chimichurri sauce that it accompanied versus the onion jam. Truffle Parmesan tater tots– The truffle was faint but you can still notice it there. It was pretty good, but I wouldn’t get it next time just so that I can save room for other interesting dishes. Pork belly buns– Soooo good! The pork belly wasn’t fatty at all, and it was cooked pretty well. I loved the pickled daikon that came along to balance the flavors. Uni udon pasta– Creamy and full of Uni flavor! Definitely a winner between us two. Since it was my girl’s Bday we had a complimentary dessert. We chose the Foie gras ice-cream w/Apple date pudding and prosciutto. O M G! An absolute must if you come visit. Everything combined together was an explosion of flavors that went so well together. I have a very big sweet tooth, and never imagined I would enjoy a savory ice-cream but I’m sold now :) OPM is a great place for date night or GNO. I want to come back to try their brunch, which looks just as amazing as their dinner entrees. It wasn’t too crowded when we were there, so hopefully they pick up a bit more.

Unacceptable service by the GM — Diego. He doesn’t return calls or emails after numerous messages I’ve left behind to plan a group dinner. The hostess took my name and number on 3 occasions, and says he’ll call me right back but nothing. It has been like this for a few weeks now(yes FEW weeks and I’m not exaggerating) and it makes me scratch my head thinking«what the hell??». On my first conversation with Diego, he said he will get back to me in a few days with a menu, never heard back. So I even went out of my way to visit the venue because I can’t get a hold of him. I made my menu selection with the bar manager and was supposed to hear back from Diego but it’s been a week now and guess what… not one word from him even if I called to follow-up and left a message. Why should I, the customer, be constantly trying to get a hold of a GM? Just isn’t right. Hopefully the owners/partners read this review so they know what has happened. If it has been this painful to setup a menu and reservation with them which should be pretty simple, I don’t have any confidence that they will be competent enough to execute on the plan. I’m taking my party of 30 elsewhere with a restaurant that has followed through, been responsive and have the business experience to make sure each and every customer matters. It takes a lot of effort and time to earn business, but can take seconds to lose it.

Service/Ambience: Very friendly and fast. They are very attentive. The resto seemed to have a relaxing ambience. Semi-fancy Food: Korean tacos $ 14: It comes with 3 small tacos with tender, juicy beef with some radishes and sauces to top it off. It is extremely bitesize. I tried to stay classy so I finished a taco in two bites instead of one big one hehe Pretty decent. I wouldn’t order them again in the future though but I don’t regret ordering it either Prime Rib Eye for Two $ 59: I shared this w a friend and it was the perfect portion. It came with three of the sides of the day which were sautéed mushrooms, broccolini and mashed potatoes. The rib eye: The rib eye is served on a nice sizzling skillet. Nice thick ass slab of rib eye, already cut. I ordered it medium rare, closer to rare. Perfectly cooked, just the way I like it. Something that I noticed was that it was cooked with thyme and the thyme was garnished on top. I could actually taste it in my steak. Definitely something I wasn’t used to but it was very pleasant actually. I would order this in the future HOWEVER I will ask them to make sure it’s not too salty next time. The rib eye seemed to be salted pretty heavily :( The Korean tacos definitely got my appetite going. With the prime rib eye entrée w/the sides, my tummy was content and happy :) Not too full. Drinks: They have cocktails, beer(only bottles), red and white wines. I would have rated this place a 3.5 but I usually let the service sway me so I’m giving it a 4 :)

Cute staff? Check. Drinks? Check. Check. Check. Check… Cool looking venue? Check Food? Check. Check. FANTASTICSERVER? CHECKCHECKCHECKCHECKCHECK! It’s been a while since I’ve made a «list» review. So let’s cut to the chase. 1. Ask for Gina as a server. She will make your night memorable. Gina is very sweet, attentive, and awesome. I want to hang out with her outside of the restaurant. 2. Food. Here’s what we got! HB Mules — Infused hibiscus vodka, ginger beer, simple syrup, lemon juice, garnished with candied ginger. Very refreshing and on the sweet side. Fruitier than your traditional Moscow Mule. Pork Belly — White marble farm ponzu glaze, green papaya, mango spice aioli. Served with Asian style buns. This dish was good, however, forgettable. Pork belly was flavorful, but sauce fell a little short. I would have preferred maybe some more acid in the sauce. Bone Marrow — caramelized onion raisin jam, chimichurri, with brioche. I love bone marrow. This was my favorite dish of the night. Personally, the bone marrow on top of the brioche, with some chimichurri and salt flakes was the second highlight to my night. Gina was my first ;). I did not like the onion raisin jam one bit. It was odd and overpowered the bone marrow. A note for the kitchen though: please don’t serve burnt crostinies… Wild Diver Scallops — Prosciutto, curried carrot purée, lemon air, shishito peppers. I adored this dish. The scallops were cooked perfectly. I got my veggies in for the day with the curried carrot purée! Hanger steak — Prime hanger, scallion whipped russet, broccolini, gochijano sauce. This dish was a near miss for me. The steak was beautifully cooked, the whipped russet(basically like mashed potatoes) was BOMB! The sauce was just a major punch in the face of sweetness though. I love my sweets, but my root canal hurt from tasting the gochijano sauce. It was just not for me at all. 3. There is a downstairs venue that you can rent! Gina took us down for a quick peek and I was intrigued with the whole idea of throwing a small party there. Prices start at approximately 3k. Over all, a great experience. The food was enjoyable. We can’t wait for our next visit where we promise to drink more! Oh, did I mention that Gina’s the best?

GIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINA!!! She wants us addicted like many are to opium! But this type of opium is OPM! We loved our server, she made our night magical as we were VIPs on a Thursday night with the whole place to ourselves! Normally that would make patrons uneasy, wondering about the place but we were 3 chix having a fabulous time in a place that has cool written all over it! And servers/bus boys weren’t just standing around twiddling their thumbs, there was a private party downstairs in the lounge to keep them busy. I was really hoping to check out the décor downstairs but it was reserved. I’m so glad my friends loved it, as they made the trek from MV and LN! You’re the best, Gia — 1.5 hours in traffic!!! It was cute how Ms. Bone Marrow virgin was practically licking the bone dry and was in love with the pork belly! That was worth it for me! I wish I shared the same excitement with the food; however, this local chic wasn’t blown away with anything I tasted. Maybe my tastebuds were off … Hope to update my opinion with future visits. 5 stars for service/ambiance 3 stars for food

Why we get together to eat? Is a shared dining experience necessary? No, but it sure makes an essential task a more pleasant one! How cool is it to meet a stranger that has the same food preferences as yourself! It’s so exciting! To have a great conversation in a nice restaurant with excellent food is a rare experience! Last night was one of those special occasions. Kelley and I had been talking for a while and we decided to meet for dinner. She suggested this really great restaurant and it was spot on! This was a beautiful environment with excellent service from our wait staff, Gina! Mahalo! We had the bone marrow with toasted French bread… fabulous! The Uni pasta with udon noodles and pink colored roe was out of this world! The thick and chewy udon noodles were perfectly matched with the buttery sauce. .mmm! We also had the Pork Belly with steamed buns. Get the Pork Belly — it’s seared to perfection and very tasty! I’ll go back for the other menu items and also because the menu changes every so often. Thank you to Kelly for taking a chance on meeting me and introducing me to a new place! See you again soon! Aloha!

I’ve been here a couple of times for drinks/dinner and their newly added Sunday brunch. I believe they’re still in their opening/test phases because every time I visit, the menu changes. I can’t say anything about the cocktails since I’m more of a straight up shots kind of gal. The foie gras ice cream is interesting. I recommend sharing everything family style. Drinks are a little pricey, similar to Mesa and other bars in DTLA, but it makes sense because the ambiance of this place is upscale/trendy. I love coming here for brunch. They have a DJ that plays hip hop! What a better way to continue the weekend party, especially for someone that works Saturday nights like me, I live for a turn up Sunday! Bottomless mimosas are $ 15, it’s not pre mixed, they give you an entire champagne bottle at your table. They also have a Bloody Mary bar which you can customize your beverage. I haven’t done this yet because I’m a lazy person and hate getting up. All of the brunch dishes were good and I also recommend sharing these family style. My absolute favorite is the foie gras with the brioche. My gfs of course loved the hello kitty pancake. Presentation is everything.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to check out this new restaurant lounge which opened a few months ago. Parking was plentiful as this venue is located in a plaza lot so you’re free to park anywhere which is a huge plus compared to like DTLA locations where everything is practically valet, metered, etc. This place was definitely HAAWWT! I loved the décor, ambience, food and live DJ mixing. My group of friends also enjoyed it and had no idea of this place until I took them here this past weekend. Food — We ordered literally majority of all the small eats here off the menu. Some of my favorites were: striped bass, shrimp ceviche, pork belly bun and Korean tacos. The short rib croquette and chicken lollipops were mediocre for my taste but it was still good quality, just nothing real special. Drinks — I ordered the Huntington Peach which came in a Moscow mule cup that contained lavender apricot infused with Vodka, ginger syrup and lime. I don’t really have a strong opinion about this drink as it tasted like soda water. Their alcohol was definitely low/light. My friend had the 99 problems craft cocktail which was practically like bubbly champagne with strawberry slices afloat. Definitely nothing SPECIAL at all. So eh, for drinks wise, it was rather disappointing. All the guys ordered old fashion and a couple of beers so those were rather safe and I can’t complain about that. All and all, I would just stay away from the craft cocktails… I didn’t really like any of the ones we ordered. The crowd I noticed is more like a Westminster feel(if you know what I mean…) which was really odd being that this location is in HB. There’s a live DJ so by the end of the night, people were up in the middle of the dance floor dancing. Music is trap and EDM.

The newest lounge bar in Huntington Beach is spacious, high-end metropolitan, with a east-meets-west vibe. The Few Bites(appetizers) are reasonably priced but a bit disappointing. The best bet was the scrumptious Pork Belly Buns, $ 8. The highlights of the lounge, however, are the tasty craft cocktails, fancy venue and excellent service. The Huntington Peach, $ 8, is a good choice for those who prefer a mixed vodka cocktail. Well blended with peach juice, the ginger snap adds a great complimentary and contrasting spiciness to the sweet and fruity cocktail. The service, once again, is impressive. The hostesses and servers are warm, friendly and absolutely gorgeous. There seems to be no shortage of beautiful people in general here. Drawing a lot of attractive people certainly elevates its appeal. Another major bonus is their very welcoming manager Tom, who wants to make certain everyone enjoys their experience at the lounge. The ambiance is jazzy and intimate. At about 10pm, however, the blue interior lighting turns to red and the DJ kicks up the music. There is a small dance floor at the front of the lounge. There is also ample outdoor seating as well. OPM Restaurant & Lounge has now been open for a month and has gotten off to a good start. A good choice for after work cocktails and happy hour, I would also recommend OPM for both on dates or larger parties wanting to celebrate those special occasions.

I heard about this new lounge/tapas place in HB, and I saw bone marrow on the menu, so I said I have to check it out. OPM is on Warner, west of Magnolia, just off the 405. The name is a play on the word Opium, which is meant to invoke good times(o_O?). The menu features oysters at $ 3/each, charcuterie, numerous tapas, and large plates like a rib eye for $ 56. We decided to try several tapas: Potato spring roll cone($ 9 — brown butter pommes purée, bacon bits, chives and cheddar); Beet and goat cheese salad($ 12 — lemon herb goat cheese, wine poached pear, roasted beets, grapefruit, balsamic reduction, walnuts); Pork belly bun($ 14 — Braised pork belly, ponzu glaze, mango green papaya salad); Bone marrow($ 14 — w/crostini & carmelized onion); Chicken lollipops($ 12 — Spicy manchego chicken wings); and Korean tacos($ 14 — marinated hangar steak, watermelon, radish, and go chu jang sauce). First of all, the cones were very good. They smelled like a baked potato, and the purée was still warm. The only downside was they were $ 3 each: 4 Stars. Secondarily, the salad was OK. However, I have had much better salads, with more ingredients elsewhere(Sea Legs Wine Bar in HB, The Ranch in Anaheim and Hog Island in SF). In addition, the menu said walnuts, but there were no walnuts in the dish: 3 Stars. Thirdly, the pork belly buns were genius. The pork belly hit your umami senses, and the meat was super tender. Clearly they were the star of the evening: 5+++ Stars. Fourthly, the bone marrow was a disappointment. The flavor was good, but it was ridiculously overpriced. I have had much larger bones at the same, or lower price at Mastros or Public House in Vegas. Additionally, there wasn’t enough marrow for the 4 crostini: 2.5 Stars(primarily due to the high price). Fifthly, the lollipops were pretty tasty. They had a good amount of heat, but were overpriced for the amount of meat: 3 Stars. Lastly, we should have skipped the tacos. The meat was unevenly distributed amongst the tortillas, there wasn’t much meat for the price, and the flavor was no good. In contrast, Hashigo Korean Kitchen in Costa Mesa has a very good version of this dish. Hashigo’s has 3X the amount of meat, and the meat is more flavorful at half the cost: 1 Star. Regarding the ambiance, they did a good job w/the remodel. It reminds me of Mesa in Costa Mesa. In addition, there is also a DJ booth in the rear. However, that is where the comparison stops. The seats are too low, and this place is way too fancy for unsophisticated HB: 3 Stars. On the service side, our waiter Justin, and the waitstaff were very good. He walked us through the menu, and he and the remainder of the team were attentive: 4 Stars for them. On the other hand, the hostesses were terrible. While they were both hawt, they were unfriendly, and didn’t thank us as we left: 2 Stars. Opium is addicting, but I can’t say the same for OPM. The name could have easily stood for«Over Priced Mediocre». This place is out of its element, and was one misstep from making my Two Star Tuesday list. The prices are too high(inc a ribeye the same price as Mastros), and the food is hit and miss. Additionally, I was hungry an hour later after spending $ 45/person. The location has been many different restaurants over the years, so I hope they make it. However, they need to make some changes to do so.

GORGEOUS place thanks to the amazing interior designer/blogger/fellow Unilocaler Julie Khuu! The place is a restaurant from 5 – 10 and later pretty much becomes a clubby lounge till like 2 am I heard. I came for dinner and here’s what I tried: Bacon corn bread: drizzled with honey. Loved the concept but the execution was just okay. The bacon bits on top didn’t seem to mesh with the corn bread in my opinion. Bone marrow: the marrow itself was very tasty; however, the raisin jam on the toast was a bit salty for my taste! I wiped some of it off and it was perfect!(Came with a side of salt to sprinkle on — I die!) Pesto burrata salad with toasted pine nuts: must get!!! So fresh, light, and delicious!!! Pork belly buns: came with 3HUGE pieces of tender, juicy, melt in your mouth pork bellies. Soooo yum MUST get! Note: I wanted to get either the shrimp, octopus, or scallop ceviche but the waiter told me it would take an hour for the chef to marinate and prepare it. Ummmmm SERIOUSLY!!! NOT amused.
