went two times last month to enjoy happy hour. Both Mondays we were not charged the happy hour prices. I didn’t bother trying to get the check adjusted, too much work. Food seemed like frozen stuff they fired. I don’t think i am going back,

Tucked inside a sm. Shopping center, at the middle in a bend… it doesn’t look like all that much… but it certainly is a fine establishment Old school type of neighborhood pub, the value is much, the food is delicious, the jack and coke stiff, service very good, informal yes, televisions extensive not a bad seat if you want to watch… very pleased. Definitely will visit at least a couple times a month …

Yes it has a pool table. We came here because someone mentioned how good the food was but that the place is a bit divey. I’m ok with a dive and this place was perfect and the food was excellent, much better than expected. Worth wait believe me.

Not too special for St. Patrick’s Day. Soggy corned beef sandwich that fell apart when you tried to lift it to your mouth. Couldn’t find anyone to order a drink from. Decided not try any longer and left. Might be a nice neighborhood place, but not on this night.

One of our spots! Great place to go for a strong drink, fairly priced, friendly staff and most of the food is actually really good. Great weekly deals on food. Weekend breakfasts… get the tri-tip when available. Juke box and they play the main games with sound. Lots of locals, but everyone is chill and welcoming.

Found this place on Unilocal as a refuge from 405fwy standstill. Best decision ever! As a connisuer, I say this is the best corn beast sandwich that I have found. & cheap! Happy to be back today for second time & keep coming back.

Best damn chicken fried steak in the county. It comes with thick cut sausage on top so it’s a real breakfast. The price is cheap so if your not drinking your going to be looking at around $ 8 for the whole meal. The place is a sports bar so be ready for that and the service isn’t the fastest but for good food you have to wait. Also free wifi!

Grilled Patty Melt… mmmmmm! Juicy hamburger on marbled rye with grilled onions! Delicious and right in our neighborhood! Ice cold 805 Firestone Beer right on tap with an amazing variety of brews!

Awesome neighborhood pub. Pros: Friendly staff, very reasonable prices on food, good selection of beer, good crowd, lots of tvs, televise dodger games. Cons: Just wish there was more room. Too bad they can’t buy the space from the business next door to them. I have been here several times, however, I have also come and had to leave several times because there is nowhere to sit.

We LOVE O’Connels! It is the place we go when we want to meet up with family and friends, always confident that the food will be delicious and the service will be great! They have lobster daily, its huge, perfectly cooked and seasoned, with salad or soup, and a starch and veggies, for only $ 15.95! Prime rib is also large, juicy, and delicious. Every single thing we’ve tried here is to die for. The staff is the cherry on top, always friendly and welcoming, making you feel at home right away. See for yourself, O’Connell’s will quickly become your new favorite secret spot!

Overall, it’s a great place for a drink. The food is bar food though, so don’t expect more than that. I went here during the week around 7pm so it wasn’t too crowded, but you could tell this place gets packed! The beer selection on tap was great. There are also TV’s everywhere so if you are a sports fan, you would love this place.

+ Decent prices + Food was great! + Friendly service/staff + Awesome vibe — Gets packed before 5!(from my visit. on a Tuesday!) 1st timer here, came with a buddy and enjoyed my visit from beginning to end. The vibe here is awesome, you have a variety of patrons that are obviously a) enjoying their food b) enjoying their chat with the bartender or c) enjoying the music that’s being played. Food pricing is decent. Going anywhere from $ 6 to $ 13+ for a meal. I had some wings here, buddy of mine had the steak. Their beer selections aren’t bad either. I had a couple of 805 Firestone Blonde Ale’s, very very good! I’d definitely come back here again. It’s just a place with great vibes overall.

Decent place to hang out, get a drink, and watch sports. They have something like 25+ TVs! Staff is very friendly, drinks are reasonable. The crowd here isn’t rough around the edges like a lot of HB bars. I’ve had breakfast here after a long night of drinking. It was a pretty solid hangover cure!

The vibe here is really cool. I’ve been to many bars before and this place has the best atmosphere, music and service. They have a great selection of beer and tons food special. Some of the must tries include: lobster rolls, prime ribs dinner special on Friday for about $ 14, burger and 1 side special for lunch on Saturday is $ 3.75, with beer is another $ 2.75! I don’t think you can get a meal nowadays served on real plate for $ 3.75. Too many specials to list on this review, so I’ve decided to take photos of the menu for you all to check out. :) This bar is a rare find around my HB neighborhood, so if you’re ever in town, swing by and check it out! You will be impressed!

My party of five wanted to hit up an Irish pub after a few hours at the beach on a wonderful March 16, 2014, sunny day. Gallagher’s by the Pier was packed and parking was almost non-existent, so I Unilocaled other pubs. Found O’Connell’s on Bushard St. We said, «Why the heck not?» We get into the parking lot and my husband comment, «Oh, this doesn’t look good. Looks like hardly anyone’s in there.» O’Connell’s sits back in a corner of a strip mall. There are many handicap spots in front, so don’t let that deter you. Then we stroll up to the door and there are white signs taped all over. My group was a little hesitant, but I wanted to know what they said, dang it. Nothing bad. Just that their St. Patty’s Day meal would be corn beef sandwiches and potato chips and nothing else on their usual menu. That would be okay with me, except it was the day before the Irish celebration. So we open up the double doors, and ahhhh, this a pub. Lots of people jam packed in this medium-sized pub. In fact, they all seemed to know one another except our group, of course. They didn’t seem to mind. Surprisingly it is well-lit, as Levi R. said in his review. Tons of TVs all around with NASCAR, NCAA basketball, rodeo and TMZ? What? Turn that last **** channel off! As soon as we sat down, a nice waitress asked us for our drink order. They will card you if you look 30-years-old or younger. Drinks are reasonably priced. So was the food. We thought we were going to settle on appetizers and bottled beers(a virgin Bloody Mary for me), but nah… we ordered up a meal and played some of our favs on the iTunes«jukebox.» I had the French dip and onion rings($ 6.95). The sandwich is a decent size, but the onion rings came with some fairly thick yet crispy coating which made them seem huge. Sliced pickle on the side. It was all good, but a little too much for me… Keep in mind I am 4 months pregnant and I eat lots of small meals throughout the day. They have a «Maine lobster roll» that sounds actually really good to me, but I am not eating anything in a shell these days and didn’t want to gross out my company since they made a comment about it. I guess you have to get your own water because one guy in my group ordered some water(hey, he was thirsty from being in the sun) and the waitress never brought any out to him. There is a little table, though, near the hallway to the restrooms that has a jug labeled«water and lemonade.» They even serve breakfast and have specials everyday. Clean single ladies restroom. I recommend this pub and grill if you need an alternative to the busy places by the beach or just a decent place to chill with friends. Review #214
