East coast people rejoice! This is great thin crust pizza just like back home. If you’re looking for fru-fru toppings and cracker crust, move along. With efficient, friendly service and a pizza that hits the spot, this is a special find in Huntington Beach. Tips: The lunch special of two slices and a fountain drink is a great deal. But for an order under $ 10 you’ll need cash. Credit is accepted for orders over $ 10.

Love La Rocco’s! For 2 slices and a drink, it comes out to only $ 6. They have other combos you can choose from that are equally as delicious. It’s NYC style so expect a light, thin, crispy, chewy crust and(of course) some grease. What I like about this place is that it doesn’t make you feel gross after eating their food. You can order a whole specialty pizza or choose from the ones they have on display. I’ve gotten spaghetti here before as well but the noodles tend to come out overcooked and their tomato sauce is on the bland side.

La Rocco’s Pizza is the bomb! I’ve been eating there since they originally opened on PCH Downtown. I like the new location on 11th street way better as far as convenience. Thumbs up if you like NYC style thin Pizza by the slice. K

Order a pizza at 8pm and they didn’t show up until 10:15pm. We called multiple times and they kept telling us it was on its way. I highly do not recommend ordering out from there if you want a pizza within an hour.

It’s only a couple blocks from the pier/dog beach and the parking was easy and free. The outdoor seating was a treat, because I had my dogs in the car and could keep an eye on them. All three of us had one slice of pizza from their wonderful selection. Mine was tomatoes and pesto. Delicious! Our combo came w a salad that was huge and contained beautifully fresh mixed greens, and it also came w a fountain drink. Our bill only totaled $ 19.50! We would definitely come back :) Our only suggestion would be to offer bottled water– even if it upped the price, it’s really the only thing I like to drink.

I’ve ordered some pizza and a pasta dish from here. Both times the food has been very underwhelming, bland. Add the pushing almost rude, definitely unconcerned service, and frankly there are a lot of better options. It’s not authentic, not distinctive, frozen may be tastier and cheaper.

What a total disappointment! At one time, we loved this place at its other location. Now, pizza lacks taste and is served luke warm. Gloves should be worn when handling money and then food. What’s worse, the owner is unfriendly and rude. Even if the pizza was delicious, customer service is key.

This place is so nasty. I ordered pick up, I ordered a philly cheese steak and chicken Alfredo with garlic knots. First off, I called they didn’t answer until the third time I called. Then, it took 35 minutes. I was so excited for this bread and it had so much seasoning to where it’s unbearable the chicken in the Alfredo taste like straight up cat food. Just horrible!!! So disappointed. My boyfriend hasn’t ate the philly cheese steak yet but the chicken Alfredo, bread, and customer service was enough to write a review.

Great pizza and great customer service! Always have been happy with their food and pizza! The owner has always been a sweetheart and love chatting with him. I literally can’t order pizza anywhere else anymore

This little pizza place is about as authentic as it gets. Normally the same guy working every time you go in, very straight forward as far as options. They have your standard pizza toppings and some really great pastas. The pesto chicken Penne is my favorite and it comes with little garlic bread balls that are to die for!

As close to NY style pizza as we’ve had, from a former NJ resident and a native of the Brnx(long may Ernie & Louie’s serve a slice!). Not the best pizza ever, but definitely eaten in one quick sitting with no leftovers. My only wish was a bit more spice to the sauce.

It was hard to give this place 5 stars because the customer servicer is so bad. But my god, the pizza is amazing! I’m not even a big NY pizza fan. But, this stuff is fantastic. They are hands down the best NY style pizza in OC. The garlic knots are also pretty stellar. Now onto the customer service… I’d give them minus 1 stars if that was possible. It’s painful to order from them. The main guy(I assume the owner) that mans the counter/phone couldn’t be much ruder or inept at customer service. I could list numerous comical stories of seeing him in action. But, he at least doesn’t mess up the orders.

The pizza is amazing, and I will go out on a limb here and say yes… Just as good as actual NY pizzas. Price: expect to pay $ 17 – 22 for a pizza enough for 3 people easy.

Tried them again and they are just terrible. It’s cardboard with rotten dairy on top of it!

La Rocco’s Pizzeria was a lifesaver. After coming home from the hospital from the passing of my boyfriend’s mom; all he wanted was comfort food: pizza. When we drove up, the lights were off and they were closing up. I ran up and told them we just came from the hospital and if we could please have a pizza. They were amazing. They fired back up the ovens and made us a fresh pizza. Now, that is what I call a great neighborhood pizzeria. Thanks La Rocco’s for going that extra step!

****** Disclaimer ****** I wrote the review about this place when they were located on Main St, but obviously forgot to write the new one for the new location(not new anymore — it’s been a long while ;p). Unilocal should just combine the old and new location page together to avoid the duplication. **************************** — Locale Destination — It’s on 11th St and Orange Ave in Huntington Beach. It used to be in the dead center of Huntington beach(beach side, not inland HB) — right by Main St and right on PCH. The location couldn’t have been any better than that. It was located right next to a pizza restaurant(still exists), but this place was way better than that. I used to come here often after chilling at the beach. The location was so great and they offered $ 5 something deal for a big pizza and drink(they still do it at the new location). I was so sad when I knew it was closed and moved to more residential area… Long walk from Main St now(I drive obviously). It’s very small. They have several seating both inside and outside. I’m not a fan of to-go pizza(unless I could eat quickly), so I usually come and eat here for the fresher pizza. By the way, it’s not technically fresh for regular pizza items and $ 5 deal — not«made to order». They already have some pizza in the showcase, and put them back in the oven once you order. If you didn’t see the pie you want there, it takes 10 minutes or so to make it. They have a TV for games. The staff are friendly. I’ve been here for years, but they are always cool and laid back. I don’t understand the complains, but the«Asian guy behind the counter» rarely talks. lol. Typical Huntington beach local looking blonde one is always cool. Credit card usage: minimum $ 10. Bring cash if you don’t eat much. No public bathroom(but«Asian guy behind the counter» let a kid use it for emergency — he’s cool). Menu: Pizza and some appetizers. The pizza is NY style — thin but not too thin like the Italian one. The pizza is so good and I haven’t been able to try anything more than my usual pizza. lol. They have daily specials. Their pie menu is interesting, but I’m not a big eater nor to-go pizza fan. — Gluttony Expedition — I prefer«vegetable» pizza in general since I’m not a fan of pizza and eat more vegetables than meats. I usually come here mainly due to my company who wants pizza and the tasty pizza(if I ate pizza, I rather eat the good one). Spinach pizza: Very light spinach pizza. Good :) Artichoke pizza: Garlicky. Very light yet flavorful. Mmm it’s a good pie as always! Cheese pizza: The crust is good, but I prefer the one with vegetables. Pepperoni pizza: The crust is good, but I prefer the one with vegetables. — Conqueror’s Deduction — I LOVE Huntington Beach, and hang out the beach a lot. Hence I’ve eaten here a lot. You know how many pizza places in Huntington Beach? TONS. As many as sandwich places. Pizza and sandwich are the staple foods in this Bro town. The competitions are fierce, so you can get better pizza and sandwich than other towns. Best NY style thin pizza in Huntington Beach or OC! Best pizza in OC(Italian super thin style) is «Fuocco’s» in downtown Fullerton. Tasty, cheap and reliable pizza — the best pizza this bro town could offer. I like pizza here. Other foods? Some great ones — «Red Table Restaurant»(tapas), «Huckleberry’s Famous Sandwiches»(BOMB broasted chicken), «Slapfish»(seafood) and«Deli-licious»(sandwich). Those are the only MUST in this town despite of the big restaurant population. Maybe«North Shore Poke Co»(poke) and«The Black Trumpet Bistro»(tapas). I haven’t tried much«new» places yet. You see lots of Hawaiian food and breakfast places, too. Food to avoid in this Bro town? Sushi, Vietnamese and Thai food. No, no, no, no! But fortunately this Bro town is surrounded by the great towns — adjacent to Little Saigon and Fountain Valley(a few great sushi — «Kasen» and«Sushi Koto» and lots of other good food). This Bro and Bro hoe town needs cool bars like Hermosa Beach — all the bars are either way too divey(very outdated) or too much«Bro & Bro hoe» cheesy ones…
