Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

Came across this coffee bar while taking a family vacation to disney land. I have to say the coffee there is fantastic, the only reason why this only got four out of five stars is because the service is… interesting. I walked in and was greeted with a fake smile, I was trying to ask questions and the barista seemed put out that I did not walk in already knowing what I wanted. It was not busy, nor was I trying to be a pest, yet that is the way I was treated. Therefore I ended up getting a plain coffee and called it good…

Mexican Coffee and mini donuts before a stroll on the pier in the morning… yum! The Mexican coffee tasted like Abuelita hot chocolate. Sweet and cinnamon flavor combined with the coffee was good if you don’t mind the really sweet taste. The mini donuts are just the right size if you just want a taste.

Really nice! Looked at SB line and came across the street! So glad we did! Nice people, very clean! My latte had way better flavor, I could actually taste the carmel! Save some money and, like another rating said, sit and watch the line at SB!

I just wanted to leave a quick message and compliment the staff at the main st HB store. Candice was awesome and extremely helpful. Thank you guys for the great experience.

I went to this Coffee Bean
1) The service was awful
2) The brand suffers bc I prefer CB to other chains but never going back.

This CBTL location did not live up to the brand. There were many customers waiting at the front of the store, and this location has a weird ordering counter up front and a pick up area in the back.
My no sugar added chai tasted extremely sweet, and the barista commented that it was normal. Also, there were big chunks of powder in the bottom of the drink?!?
The drinks took a long time to come out with few customers actually waiting near the pick up area…

Wow I just left this establishment. Horrible service they took my order and money and I waited for over 10 minutes and I asked if my order was ready and the cashier asked what I had ordered again!?? After I repeated my order it took another 10 minutes to get my order. Might I add there was only 2 customers at the time of my purchase. Horrible service.

I took my special education class on a community based instruction trip to the beach today and ended up here after my students and staff had made our purchases we sat down and enjoyed our treats however were asked to leave bc we were taking up space from «normal» customers!!! This was a horrifying comment… Shame on you for discriminating against my students who were there to enjoy what they had purchased from your establishment with their money and how dare you lot treat them with the same respect you do your other customers!!!

DISGUSTING, DISCRIMINATING, AND RUDE employees! TODAY they discriminated against a group of special Ed. young adults after a trip to the beach on an 85 degree day, saying they were taking up «too much room and being to loud for their normal people.» And asked them to leave. Guess they’re to ignorant to know that it’s TOTALLY ILLEGAL. That’s called DISCRIMINATION!
These kids have just as much right to be there as YOUR «NORMAL» people especially after they spent THEIR money at YOUR business. Do your employees NOT UNDERSTAND they are trying to help integrate these people into society? They already have enough challenges in life without being discriminated against!
I was not a part of this group today, but You can clearly (as could anyone) tell these kids had special needs, and we’re just trying to enjoy their drinks and stay out of the heat like everyone else.
SHAME ON YOU COFFEE BEAN! I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED AND TOTALLY EMBARRASSED FOR THESE PEOPLE!
NEVER again will I buy anything from you, and you best believe I will plaster this ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA! I will let EVERYONE I KNOW NEVER to step foot into another COFFEE BEAN! STARBUCKS JUST gained a loyal customer!

The coffee is relatively inexpensive and there is a great atmosphere in there. The people watching is on point, and the prices are half as much as the Starbucks across the street. You’d be silly to indulge in the name brand coffee shop with this thing across the street!

Went to this location last night for Halloween to get a hot chocolate and enjoy the street fair and was totally disrespected by the cashier. I heard her talk about me as I walked away to get my hot chocolate and it was made even clearer when I looked at the girl making coffee and they have head sets so they can gossip about the customers as they walk away. Long story short I didn’t feel comfortable and hopefully management will remind their associates the paycheck they receive are only possible through the customer.

Just left this coffee bean and have never been more disrespected at any coffee bean location. The cashier MELODY and all the employees making coffee in the back like to talk bad about customers right in front of them! I go to coffee bean a lot and I will NEVER return to this place again. The worst service I’ve ever received. Did the employees forget that the customer pays their bills??? Disgusted
For management: this was 8pm on Halloween night. All employees working this shift should be reminded to stay professional at all times!

Always quick and friendly service. The baristas at the friend are always super kind and repeat my order back to me. Never look too stressed or frazzled regardless of the amount of customers

This is the worst.
I am a Starbucks lover, I’m there almost everyday sadly, but the one thing I’m willing to pay MORE money for a BETTER chai latte is coffee bean. It is sooo good here it’s like a vanilla chai I love it. I’ve only had it a couple times when my coworkers have brought me something from there but the other morning I decided to SKIP Starbucks and go to coffee bean, I ordered my drink and when I picked it up I noticed it had a hazelnut smell to it and I know for a fact this was not how a chai smelt, so I double checked with the barista that it was my chai and she said yes, but it was to scolding hot for me to try and like 630 in the morning so I figured it was just me being crazy… So at work I have everyone smell it asking what it was and everyone said it was a hazelnut coffee, I tried it and it was gross, a hazelnut coffee. Everyone tried it and said it was coffee, so I walked back over to return it since i paid $ 4.20 for it and when I brought it back they were So rude.
I told the lady that I thought it was a coffee instead of the chai latte I ordered and she just stares at me and so I just asked nicely if I could get another one, she says yes and this coffee bean has little head sets that they talk to each other and she goes «hey girl can you remake this this lady said it taste weird» with an eye roll and I was so nice about it I even blamed myself saying maybe I grabbed the wrong cup… So they remade it and it smelt the same so I asked if they were putting hazelnut in the latte and she said «it’s made right mam» so annoyed I just left and went back to work and had everyone try it again and everyone said it was the same thing, coffee.
I will just stick with Starbucks, nicer crew and cheaper as well. These employees have also been rude to other coworkers that have been there. maybe don’t work the morning shift if your not a morning person?

Because it’s located downtown, I wouldn’t really study/​relax here. But I’ve always had pleasant experiences here — as expected of Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.
The sweet teas are always refreshing and tasty, and their Thai ice blended tea was the best (sadly it’s not available anymore). I would always stop by for a drink/​snack when biking along the beach with my friends!

This place get 4 stars average bc the people who work here know what they are doing. I like the fact that they stamp your receipt the restroom code. Make it a lot easier for customers .
Their coffee taste average, I haven’t found one flavor I like yet.

Clean yet I had to purchase an item to get a code for the restroom if I could have used the restroom first then buy my drink I would have been happy

Worst Coffee Bean I have visited. I ordered an iced coffee and asked for code to use ladies room while waiting for coffee. The barista that took my order stamped bathroom code on my receipt, which was convenient.
After using the toilet, I went to wash my hands with soap and then dry them with paper towel but both soap and paper towel dispenser were empty. I was completely grossed out at the fact that workers and customers using this bathroom were putting their germ ridden toilet hands all over everything in this restaurant… ie, creamer containers, door handles, etc.
When I left the ladies room to pick up my iced coffee, I mentioned to the male barista that the ladies room needed to be tended and I was very specific on what it needed. He seemed totally uninterested so I continued back to front where I ordered my coffee and mentioned to the female barista that the ladies room needed soap and paper towels and she too was annoyed.
I left this place and quickly asked my family to search my backpack for purell to sanitize my dirty hands.
After visiting the beach with my family for a COUPLE OF HOURS… I stopped back in this same Coffee Bean to use the ladies room and the soap and towel dispenser were STILL EMPTY!!! I will never order from this place again and either will my family. I will gladly walk to the Starbucks across the street where the employees are friendly and receptive to such requests.
By the way… I visit Yorba Linda, CA Coffee Bean on a regular basis and the staff are absolutely lovely.
