This place is hit and miss. I occasionally go there for lunch and usually get brisket. Sometimes it is excellent but other times there is more fat than meat.

One of the better places in the food court, to me. I haven’t ordered a burger here before, but did order pancakes once, and those were okay. The things I like best are the BBQ baked potato(it’s kind of crazy) and the fish. Get the baked potato with beef and all the toppings — so good! And so heavy, so prepare yourself. They have big servings of either baked or fried fish, both are pretty good. Sides are a notch above mediocre, and I enjoy their cheesy potato stuff. Finally, I might be somewhat biased because of this one simple fact: they are the only food venue there that sells Mountain Dew. I know, I know. But sometimes I need a mid-work pick-me-up, and especially if you’re going to get a baked potato, it’s much welcomed!

Working at Greenway, I come here primarily for breakfast from time to time. However, today was the last day. I walked up to the counter and ordered an egg white, ham and cheese sandwich. He rang me up and it was $ 3.55. He then proceeded to run my card and I moved along. After 5 mintues of waiting, the owner asks for my card again to run because it did not work the first time. He ran it again, this time at $ 2.79. It did not go through. Finally, I just pulled out a $ 5 and gave it to him. He gave me my change — $ 2.11. So I guess the final price he settled on was $ 2.89 for the sandwich. Every time I go there he arbitrarily rings up a price for my breakfast/lunch. This was the last time. Because, when I finally got up stairs and opened my container, there were 2 slices of soggy wheat bread sitting on top of a greasy pool of egg white — nothing else. So, not only was I charged whatever amount popped into the owner’s mind at that moment, but I did not even receive the correct order. No more from this patron. And if you think my post is out of the ordinary, I have a coworker who thinks this is some of the better quality bbq in town and he goes there frequently, every time having to haggle the price with the owner as if he is buying Star Wars figurines at a flea market. Bottom line, if they want to keep getting business from people then they need to set prices, stick to them, and be consistent. A little cheaper would be better as well. Last I checked I do not work in an airport.

Working at Greenway, Village Barbecue is a good lunch standby when I am too lazy to pack my own. They have a good variety of barbecue, burgers/sandwiches and cafeteria style food. They are always consistent in their options and quality. If you’re in a hurry, the meat plate with sides is the way to go because the burgers can take some time, especially if you opt for fries(which they are very generous with). However, their turkey burgers are quite good with their lethal jalapenos added to it. The brisket sanwich on whole wheat is another tasty option. For sides you cannot go wrong with their pasta salad or Greek salad. They even have multiple breakfast options to get your grease on.

If your working at Greenway and you need to get some breakfast I would stop by Village BBQ. The owner, who is always at the register, remembers everyones order and always gets it right. It is also the only place that serves egg whites. Stop in and get the county omelet or a chorizo and egg taco.

The one thing they have going for them is the variety of food they serve. Anything from BBQ, philly cheese steaks, hamburgers, to your morning breakfast. I like their fried okra and Greek salad, so sometimes that pushes me over the edge into actually ordering a dinner plate. I usually get the ¼ chicken as it’s $ 1 cheaper than a BBQ dinner plate.
