This place is classic authentic Mexican food. I got La Agarón. It’s a torta with pork, chorizo, and pine apple. Their horchata is top notch as well.

The food was amazing! My friends and I ordered different dishes: pambasos, sincronizadas, gorditas, and a torta. The portion is large and flavor is authentic Mexico City style. Price is cheap too! Ordered a gordita with carne asada, refried beans, and queso fresco and choco flan for dessert for 8 bucks. And those salsas are spicy!!! The green is my fave!!!

I came out on Cinco de Mayo craving some Mexican food, of course on the special day, right? I was also craving a burger and didn’t want an American one, though maybe it would have tasted a little bit better. Anyways, I came into the restaurant and wasn’t greeted. It was one person sitting and eating his torta. I began to view the giant menu and especially the tortas. Note here: if you don’t eat pork or prefer other meats than pork: this wouldn’t be the best spot for you because most of the tortas have pork meat in it which was a disappointment for me. I asked the lady in the front if they had any tortas with just chicken or beef; and she wasn’t able to assist me properly because she couldn’t understand English or what I was saying. I was honestly just about to leave until I considered to give this restaurant a chance: I ended up ordering the La Dieta(Vegetarian) torta with no meat just cheese, avocado, tomatoes, no pickles, no mayo, no ketchup nor mustard, shredded lettuce, it also came with jalapenos and some red watery sauce. Now, there is definitely a language barrier issue here: I can understand if you are Hispanic and speak the language, but what about the others that don’t speak the language? I mean, seriously there should be a regulation that businesses and restaurants should have at least one person who speaks the primary language of America which is English. It didn’t take no time for them to bring out my meal: at about less than 5 mins my food was out. The meal just torta was $ 6. For $ 6, I was really hoping that this Mexican burger was to be filled with flavor and yumminess, instead it was beyond gross. The torta was soggy everything was mushed together; the white queso was hard and wouldn’t melt when I warmed it in the microwave.(I had to re-warm it because it was lukewarm when they gave it to me) The tomato still had the middle part(where the stem would be) in it; they failed to cut that part off. The lettuce was very mushy and very gross; it looked like slop literally. It didn’t seem like they took the time to prepare the torta. It was absolutely no flavor nor taste; very bland and that is pretty rare to me since its Mexican food which would normally be filled with flavor and spices. The bread didn’t have a flavor either usually breads are soft and has a seasonings to it; this one nope not at all. I’m sure even if it was just veggie torta then it should not taste like that; I’ve had American burgers where it was turkey, black bean, or veggie burgers and wow they were good; but this one being Mexican and a burger – it failed big time. The service I can’t get angry for because that lady spoke Spanish and I spoke English; I just wish she would at least learned the English language before moving or coming to Texas. Oh and lots of parking; it is next to the comedy club off of 45/S and Fuqua.

WoW. WOW. WoW! They have a tremendous amount of options! Menu is huge! Don’t let the face of the building fool you — although small, this place knocked my socks off. I tried their torta — it was amazing and spectacular and incredible… what other words can I use? ha! This is definitely the spot to pick up lunch or quick dinner. Will definitely be going again asap!

I eat tortas all the time, at various Hispanic restaurants and this has the best so far. I’ve gotten the La Aragon and Hawaiiana and they are so delicious! They both have pork leg, which is fatty and so succulent, along with pineapple, avacado, lettuce and tomato, all fresh tasting. The difference is La Aragon has chorizo and the other has ham. They gave me some jalapenos on the side to top my torta but not the red or green sauce so don’t forget to ask for those. The only complaint I would have is that the bread fell apart even before biting into it, but the mess was worth it. Can’t wait to try their other foods and deserts.

I’ve been here twice. Although the first time was better because the tortas seemed to have more filling than the second time I came. A little over priced but are very flavorful and filling. The tacos are small but are very good too. I had a chorizo and cactus taco. Wow. it was delicious! If you want a torta fix, this is the place!

La comida esta riquísimo. Hoy pruebo ese Peralvillo y ¡me encanta! La carne es buena calidad, muy bien cocinado, y el precio esta baja para la cantidad. Creo que es mi nuevo restaurante favorito en la area.

great mexican lunch, good prices, tortas are a speciality not often found outside of the southwest and california, just be prepared for a heavy meal, this is by no meals a low calorie affair…

I am a big fan of Mexico City style tortas, especially the torta cubana. I used to visit their location on Hilcroft near 59 and I loved it; so naturally I was excited when this location on fuqua opened. They are not the same as that old hilcroft location, as in places like these, items tend to vary because the crew making it changes from location to location, each putting their own touch on it. If I could recommend something for someone coming here for the first time I would go with the Cubana from there moving on to the chilanga and aragon. The cubana consists of a sliced up hot dog, breaded cutlet, chorizo, melted cheese, beans and your choice of sliced jalapenos or chipotle sauce. Sounds like a lot, but trust me, you will like it.
