Please spare yourself the trauma of doing business with Sears Optical. Let’s begin with Dr. Frank Lin, the optician who works at this location but is apparently never present. According to the receptionist, «he is hardly at the location.» So I was examined by a «relief doctor» who incorrectly identified my eye color as brown(my eyes are blue) AFTER examining my eyes. She told me she would order my contact the day I went for the exam. After one week I called to check on the status of the contact. At that point the doctor’s office said they had passed the order to Sears Optical shop to order the lens… and then proceeded to give me the wrong phone number for the shop next door. After calling the shop, they informed me that the doctor had actually waited a full week before asking them to order the lens. Thus ended week one. I waited patiently for another week and called Sears to check on the lens again. I was told no one there had any idea about it. After calling approximately 10 – 12 times to ask about the lens, I still had no idea what was going on with the lens. Multiple times I was told an employee would call me back, but no one ever did. The manager also failed to call me back after I left a message for him. As I entered week three of this ordeal I called again multiple times. Finally the one competent employee at the business, Stephanie, tracked down the issue and determined the contact had been lost in a shipment… according to the lab. She was able to reorder the contact and had it express shipped in. Great! This was the one positive of the entire saga. Because when I went to pick up the lens I endured an hour of rude service, confusion about the cost of the lens and about which lens was mine. In addition, Dr. Frank Lin’s office had filed a fraudulent claim on my insurance after my exam using the entire sum of my insurance coverage. All in all this was terrible customer service. Do not use this business if you value your time, finances and sanity.

Excellent eyeglass repair services. Located next to the tool department, so other family members can shop while glasses are obtained or repaired. My progressive bifocals with prisms were quickly repaired after my child sat on them. Watch closely to spot entrance from Shepherd side of building.
