I went here the other night because it was in the area… Service was ok, the food, sub par at best. I had the cobb salad with grilled shrimp. Menu said«mixed greens». It was served on a bed of iceberg lettuce with 3 leaves of mixed greens. My friend had the Cajun Trio which consisted of crawfish etoufee, Catfish Pontchartrain w/red beans and rice and BBQ shrimp. The fish tasted under cooked, the etoufee and red beans were definitely from a box. The was nothing«Cajun» about this trio. The pics tell it all. Food was lackluster at best and it was our first and last time at this establishment. The margaritas do get and honorable mention, but that’s about it.

This restaurant has some good dishes and I would recommend the fish and chips. The portions are generous and the staff are very attentive.

I love this place! Since I moved into this area I’ve been there at least 20 or 30 times. I’ve never been disappointed, I have always loved everything I’ve gotten.

Great experience here! I’m strictly not a seafood person, but you know, you have to compromise. I ordered the shrimp poboy while my boyfriend ordered the caesar salon plate. Great food, good service. Recommendable.

Fantastic Food and awesome service! My catfish was fresh, fantastic and flavorful! Our waiter, Ken, was a treasure. Both he and his female counterpart were very attentive and knowledgable. We will definitely be back!

Dexter is amazing! He always makes my visits worthwhile. He has great energy and even better service. The food here is always fresh and hot. I love the authenticity and décor plus the location is super convenient. If I didn’t live so far I would definitely visit more often. I have NEVER had a bad experience here. Ps try the day at the lake drink. It’s huge!

Once our waiter realized that we were in his section, service was quick and pleasant. I had the fried shrimp lunch portion basket with fries and a side of andouille sausage red beans & rice. My husband had stuffed flounder with crab, asparagus spears, and rice pilaf. My red beans and rice were under seasoned & my husband thought the rice pilaf was undercooked. The asparagus Spears were fab! The crab could have been cooked a bit more. This is our 2nd time here, and will likely return at some point in the future.

Ok so food was good I had the cedar plank salmon, mom had the stuffed Flounder both were yummy! Atmosphere is good. I prefer to sit in the booth but one thing I didn’t like was the hard seats for the booths. Service was quick we wasn’t going to order any appetizer or desserts I was stuffed but decided to share a brownie with vanilla ice cream. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend this place.

Bad service tonight. Asked to change the TV never obliged my request. Crawfish wasn’t good either. My server never asked how my food was only thing she said after the tv request was do you want the check.

The food was good and the service was pretty good… It was a fair price! The only reason it’s not getting a 5 star is the forgot my dressing on my burger and my cup was dirty… other than that everything else was good! Fish taste good and freshly cook so that was a plus!

Casual, laid back seafood restaurant in Royal Oaks shopping center. It’s not your high end seafood establishment. But, the food is pretty tasty. Tonight, I tried the Maryland Crab soup and it was SOUPer yummy! Just imagine a spicy vegetable soup with a stack of crab meat on top. Heavenly! Then, I moved on to my main dish which was the Shrimp & Grits. The shrimp was delectable. However, the grits were a little strange. It comes in a «grit cake», kinda like a patty. Now, I’ve had these before at other places, but here it’s a little too mushy. The sauce has sausage & onions in it & makes the whole dish come together. I would highly recommend the crab soup!!! Cons: I arrived before happy hour ended. Sat down, then went to ladies room; came back & asked the bartender for a drink. She said, «oh, it’s 7:02, happy hour ended 2 minutes ago». Lol. Ok, I’ll just have water then :-( Pros: If you sign up on their email list, you will receive a free meal(valued up to $ 15) during your birthday month!

If you are looking for a casual grilled/fried seafood chain restaurant, then consider dining at Rockfish. Rockfish has earned its spot as one of the restaurants we frequent for family dinner nights for quite a number of years now. The chalkboard above the kitchen area displays daily specials for lunch, catch of the day, appetizers, and drinks. There’s a few TVs around the restaurant in case you need to keep an eye on any current games. After seating us, the hostess let us know that they offered 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We have always been pleased with service and the fresh seafood on our multiple occasions dining here, whether it was a slow or busy night. Portions are huge for me so I sometimes end up splitting an entrée with my mom. On our most recent visit, I had the St. Charles Redfish entrée. The blackened redfish was served with a creamy seafood sauce. Sides of mashed potatoes and green beans came with the entrée. The fresh redfish and veggies were delicious and well-seasoned. I enjoyed the perfect crunch of the sautéed green beans. Mom had the pecan crusted trout with sweet mashed potatoes and green beans, and she enjoyed her meal. My brothers devoured the Cajun Combo and the Rockfish Platter, which indicated that they were more than happy with their dinner. All in all, Rockfish has always been a consistent and solid choice for our family dinner nights. Service is good, as you are greeted by the host/hostess and seated promptly, and then the server attends to everyone at the table shortly thereafter. And you can always stop by Starbucks or Jamba Juice next door for a post-dinner treat.

Rockfish is a straightforward standard fare in terms of fried or grille seafood in the area. It’s a chain restaurant so I would have to compare it to Bonefish Grille or a seafood version of any myriad of casual chain restaurants. It will do if you’re looking for a consistently decent meal perhaps for lunch. The service here was good and the food were served fresh as I had a stuffed tilapia dish that was cooked nicely and tasty. Overall, it’s not the first choice if I’m in the area for lunch, but I wouldn’t mind coming back for more.

I enjoy visiting new places for lunch, and this was no exception. The outside is super cute and looked promising as I was in the mood for seafood. The inside of the place looks a bit like a 70’s show set. We were seated at a booth that fit only two, quite cozy. For starters we ordered the mussels and crab cakes. They came out and looked nice, but the crab cakes left something to be desired. I think that something was flavor and seasoning. Thank good it was served with a wonderful white sauce that saved the day, or else I wouldn’t have been able to eat them. The mussels were ok, but the ones we had at joes crab shack were heads and tails above these… for our main entrée I ordered the suggested special talapia that was baked and asked for asparagus on the side in lieu of the veggie medley(great call). When my dish came out visually it left a lot to be desired, and upon tasting it I was very dissapointed. My boyfriend ordered a stuffed fish, and that was very good. My talapia paled in comparison and was honestly under seasoned and on the verge of tasteless. Considering all of this I wasn’t excited to try desert, but my boyfriend was so he ordered the bread pudding. I’ve never tried nor liked to try bread pudding, but I’m so glad I did! It fixed this whole experience. That bread pudding was 100 percent amazing and I’ll head back here for only that… to go of course.

Great prices for fresh seafood. Tasty combinations. I loved going to Rockfish when I worked in the Woodlands. This location won’t disappoint either. Fresh fish is listed on a chalkboard. Various toppings are offered if you like that. Good service, great selection. Local beers also offered. Cheap appetizers. I really enjoyed the jalapeño hush puppies and apple cider coleslaw. My wife had snow crab legs and enjoyed them. I have always been happy ordering fish from Rockfish.
