I actually don’t like chicken, but I love the biscuits(yum!) and the seasoned fries. First of all, this neighborhood is a bit sketchy. I pulled through the drive through and attempted to place my order. The associate was talking to someone in the background while I was talking so I stopped and waited for her to finish. When she finished, she asked if I was ready to order and before I could say anything she said, «Let me know when you’re ready» and started back talking to another employee. I finally got a chance to order(just fries and a biscuit), and it took about 10 minutes :/My food was bright out to my car with the fries spilled in the bag. Lesson learned. I will stay away from this area. Bad area=bad customer service(generally the case).

I’m not a huge fried chicken eater, but every so often I get a craving. I happened to be on this side of town and came to this Popeye’s because it was close to my destination while on the same side of the street I was driving. No reason other than that. Though this area can be considered sketchy, I found the Popeye’s restaurant to be remodeled and clean. Everything else is what you can come to expect from the chain. The staff is very entertaining regarding their comments towards patrons and«street walkers» who come in to utilize the restrooms and napkins. The wait was longer than average, but they just had one fry cook and a long drive-thru line. My chicken po-boy wasn’t spicy as indicated and it did taste rather stale. I wouldn’t have come here if I didn’t have that craving. No surprises here and I believe there are restaurants that offer a better product with better«cluck» for you buck.

10 minute wait in the drive thru. Really! Always a long wait. Food taste stale. Do not go here if you can help it.
