About a month ago I went in to get my hair dyed back to my natural ashy blonde and that’s it. My roots had grown out over an inch, so she had plenty of color to reference. But of course I let the lady talk me into this new balayage treatment that’s all the rage these days (my own fault, I know). THREE HOURS and $ 240 later, I’m staring at a very brunette version of myself with bright blonde highlights in the mirror. Not exactly what I wanted, right? So she tells me it’s going to fade to just the blonde color in looking for, and I just need to give it some time. Okay, okay, I get that. I’ve dyed my hair before, so I know I can’t trust the immediate results. I’ll give it some time. It’s been a month, and I’m still brunette. How long do I have to wait? My roots are even growing out again, so I can see just how wrong she was. For $ 240, I expect it to be perfect the first time. And no, I won’t go back and let them ruin my hair again.

Beautiful atmosphere where you can feel good while you get your CUTE on. The hostess is FAB! Mimosa anyone? Cucumber water? Wine? My treatment takes about 3 – 4 hours, so glad it’s at this lovely location. My hairdresser is Sandy R, she’s done my hair for the last 10 years. Love her and this salon.

I came here last Saturday for a quick trim with Amy. As soon as I walked in, the space was much bigger and more modern than I had been expecting. They got me some water while I waited in the futuristic looking waiting area.
As soon as I sat down in Amy’s chair I felt like I was in great hands. She asked me a lot of questions about what I wanted and ended up taking off 3″. It was more than I had originally planned, but I’m so glad she suggested it because my hair feels much healthier and looks amazing now! Even after washing it a couple times I can tell it’s a great cut. Also, Amy was so sweet and fun to chat with. I can’t wait to go back for my next trim!

Great manicure & super clean & elegant environment. It’s not your $ 12 quick mani nail salon. It’s pricey but the attention to detail, the ambiance & the champagne were great. I’m definitely coming back. French manicure $ 35.

Chris has mad skills for nails! I am always on point with the latest trend and they are flawless everytime, Jason keeps my feet fabulous he always picks out the right color for me and they go above and beyond to make your experience relaxing and you feel like a queen when you leave.
You must come here and get your nails done 100% perfection.

I come here regularly for my pedicures and they do such a great job! They always help me pick out the best nail color for the season, what will look good with my skin color, as well as what as what is on trend! The massage chairs are so relaxing as well as all the different types of pedicure/​manicure scents.
Recently I tried out a new nail bar that opened up nearby, and they were not near as professional. I came back to La Blanc and they did a fantastic job of working on some of my «problem toes» and making sure I didn’t get any ingrown toenails.
This is by far the best place that I have been to for manicure/​pedicure/​acrylic nails!

This salon is definitely not the worst salon I’ve been to. But not the greatest either. Everyone here is Friendly and offer you beverages and constantly ask you if your doing ok. So that is definitely a plus in my book. Compared to other salons that are rude or simply don’t care.
As for the stylist work. I’ve only been to Peyton and she does great cut and styling! I went in for color once and didn’t like the results. Caused damage to my hair. So I would say if you get color done. Proceed with caution!
Also they push products pretty heavily here. The whole time I was there that’s all I would hear. I’m not a fan of these type of salons. Almost makes you feel like your forced to buy their products.

Shellac lasted one week and 45 dollars. I’m never going back. No wonder there’s no one else doing their mani/​pedi there.

This place was extremely accommodating when I called 15 minutes in advance for three last minute mani/​pedi appointments (See my review on Bliss Day Spa and their failed scheduling attempts, despite calling several days in advance). Drinks are wonderful, the place is so trendy and cute, and I am very happy with my mani and pedi. The staff is wonderful as well. I wish I could give more than five stars — this place earned it.

I can’t say enough great things about Le Blanc salon and my stylist Effie. I moved to Houston 6 months ago from Chicago and was looking for a great regular salon for hair color, cut and highlights. Le Blanc was close to my house so I gave it a chance and I was very impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. The salon is beautifully decorated inside and very clean and welcoming. I’m always treated to coffee or a mimosa when I am there which is just a lovely touch.
The best part of the salon is my stylist Effie. Effie and I had a great connection from my first visit. She is such a warm and sweet person and makes me look and feel amazing every time I see her. I get compliments nonstop on how beautiful my highlights and style looks after I have an appointment with Effie. She is very knowledgable about the hair products and what would work well for my frizzy thick hair in the Houston heat but she is never pushy with trying to have me buy products. I love seeing Effie and catching up with her when I visit the salon. It’s like a great girlfriend is doing my hair! I am very happy with Le Blanc salon and will keep going there as long as Effie is there! The salon is very lucky to have her as part of their team.

Effie is a pro and loves what she does. I’m pretty persnickety when it comes to hair dressers and I wouldn’t trust anyone in Houston with my hair besides her! She’s quick with her scissors, knows how to style your hair just right, and is so lovely and amiable to talk to. Effie if you’re reading this, sorry I’m just getting around to it! :)

Love this place! I came in to see if they could squeeze me in since I didn’t have an appointment, the receptionist (or lady at the front) was so sweet and she accommodated me! Jason and chris hands down are great! They revived my hands and feet, they really took their time to make sure I was happy and made sure I got the best service possible! I shall be returning! Thank you guys!

Effie is absolutely incredible. I was greeted by her and a glass of wine, and she really listen to what I wanted. It was nice to have a hair dresser who really cares! She took the time to explain to me what she was going to do and made sure I was comfortable at all times. It was like catching up with an old friend! Plus now my hair is perfect, and I received tons of compliments. Will definitely be back!

She’s right, I no longer work at Citris. So the fact that you have the audacity to accuse false info. That’s solely upon you. My 3 star now goes to a one star. Because I did have a horrible service here and the receptionist hung did hung on on my face and now you want to come and complain to about how my reviews are false. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY UnilocalERS. Thanks.

Payton washed, cut, and styled my hair. She did an amazing job. You can tell she’s still kind of young with it. She’s been doing it for over 5 years and had her own business at one point. She completely listened to everything that I requested. I use to tell new stylists to just do what they wanted and it always ended up uneven or unmanageable. She understood and worked with all of my preferences. She took her time and have the BEST shampooing ever too! Love the soft curls that she added to my hair. Will be seeing her again.

Let me tell you, one word: EFFIE. I went in their originally to get my nails done, but when I asked the lovely hairdresser a few questions about my hair and a few color suggestions, I was sold. Effie is knowledgeable, real, and won’t lie to you about hair and what she thinks about what you want. Thanks to her, I have an amazing ombré and can’t stop staring at myself in the mirror. Pathetic I know. I’ve found my lifelong stylist. ASK FOR HER NOW.

They charge too much money for everything. My shellac chipped off the next day and my balayage highlights made my hair look spotted. I had to return the next few days so someone could fix it.

I came here for shellac mani/​pedi and was very impressed!!! Everyone was so nice and tge environment was gorgeous.

I recently visited Effie in Houston to get my hair done and felt it was time for a review! The salon was beautiful but the real gem is Effie.
I worked as an assistant with Effie Varsamis in Chicago and the entire time felt I hit the jackpot. I have very thick, frizzy wavy hair and was victim to a lot of bad cuts in life but Effie was able to layer/​thin it in a way that no one else could, a lot of stylists didn’t want to cut girls with long or very thick hair because it is more difficult but Effie never complained, her cuts are very modern looking and I honestly never saw anyone leave her chair not looking great
Which brings me to color. I once saw her work an absolute miracle on a girl who dyed and highlighted her hair at home, her highlights are amazing, after I started getting highlights from her I was always getting asked where I got them done, and also getting asked where my hair was CUT. It was the first time in my life I was getting compliments not that my hair was curled pretty or something but that it was cut well. I will post pictures so you guys can see what I mean
But OH there is more. Effie is a genius with updos. She did my hair for prom, I cam in with a pearl necklace and asked for something with braids, grecian-​goddess-​esque and she went to it, it was a LOT of work she took a long time doing little details with the braids and making sure everything was really secure so it’d last all night. She really listens to what you want, but she is able to figure out what will look good when you don’t know what you want too which was so important to me. A girl working at the salon got married while I was there and everyone asked for Effie to do their hair. It got to a point where the owners had to ask a few girls to have another stylist do it because literally every girl wanted Effie.
Last but not least, extensions. Effie is brilliant with extensions. I might be mistaken but I believe she did a lot of extra training for extensions. Effie had the most clients for extensions, I never got them myself but in the time that I worked there 3 other employees did and they all asked for Effie. And that’s because working there we see everyone’s work and we know who to go to and who to avoid. One girl had very thin hair and Effie made her look like a whole new person, seriously she is magic.
Effie is someone who takes a career as a hairstylist seriously and she is passionate about doing good work. All I can say is I’m really sad Chicago lost her. but when I need warm weather and a good cut/​color I will be going to Houston.
