Brushed Tanning

I have a membership at Maquillage Pro and signed a year contract for unlimited lash extensions and custom tans. I come as much as I’d like through out the month and they always provide me with superior service. Convenient location next to a nail salon!

I always use the strip fake lashes, but since getting the extensions I won’t go back! Maquillage pro did a good job! :) ill definitely recommend to friends!

Where has this place been all my life?! I am an avid tanner. However, this year I’ve decided to take the advice of EVERYONE and do it the fake way. I’ve done sunless tanning before via bottle and a booth, and have always looked either like Tony the Tiger or just fake. I came here today after looking at Unilocal,and I can’t tell you how awesome the tan looks! I bought their monthly package, and so far it seems like a great deal.

I’ve been thinking about this review for a couple of weeks now. I wanted to be sure I had plenty of time to cool down before writing anything.
I bought a package of 9 airbrush tans from «Brushed Tanning aka Maquillage Pro Beauty» several months ago. TWO MONTHS before my trip to Hawaii I made an appointment for 5:00 the evening before my flight. I asked two questions:
1. I have two tans left on my package, correct?
2. Can I give one of them to my roommate?
I was very clear and stressed that I wanted to be SURE. The person on the phone told me (more than once) that this was all okay. When I explained how we both wanted to come at the same time she said, «I can fit you both in at 5:00.» This led me to believe I was talking to (and she sure sounded like) the owner, Pam.
My roommate and I arrived early. We sat in the waiting area for around 15 minutes. Pam was in the room, but chose to wait until the time of our appointment to tell me I did not have any tans left on my package. When I questioned this, she got rude. She then told me, «Even if you did have some left, you can’t give them to anyone.» I didn’t understand how this was happening since I’d checked on everything TWO MONTHS in advance. She informed me that this wasn’t her problem.
At this point I was entering panic mode. I’d carefully budgeted for this trip back when I made the appointment, so I did not come with money to spend (not to mention she left me with no time to make other arrangements) I’d also told my roommate she wouldn’t need to worry about budgeting for a tan since I was allowed to give her one of mine. I explained to Pam that we were leaving for Hawaii the NEXT DAY and didn’t understand why I was given completely different information over the phone. She told me «The people who answer the phones and make appointments do not have access to client information.»
Now I was visibly angry. My response was, «They should have TOLD me they didn’t know the answers to my questions, rather than ‘Yes, you DO have two tans left’ and ‘Yes, you CAN give one to your roommate’.» She just shrugged her shoulders and told me there was nothing she could do. She is the OWNER. I’m pretty sure she could have helped me, but was completely unwilling and unapologetic. This is when I left. I admittedly peeled out and parked around the corner to have a panic attack. (I planned on BATHING in sunblock while in Hawaii, and didn’t want to don a swimsuit as blindingly pale as I was!)
After I calmed down and my head cleared a bit, I remembered Blair. She had done my airbrush tanning when Pam’s company worked out of Satori Salon in the Heights. I’d heard she returned to Satori (with her own company) shortly after Pam moved her business to the current location. Luckily, I still had Blair’s phone number. She was always so helpful and willing to work with my schedule. I left her a message and she immediately responded, offering to stay late and wait for me. She was more than happy to offer me a great package deal, which I gratefully purchased. I was bummed when she left Pam’s company and would have followed her, but I had (or THOUGHT I had) unused tans I’d already paid for. I highly recommend calling Satori Salon and asking for Blair. You’ll feel right at home and she’ll never treat you like you stole from her, which is how I felt with Pam. Blair provides excellent service and a beautiful tan for a great price at a prime location (Satori Salon is beautiful inside if you’ve never been).
Either way, if you go to «Brushed Tanning/​Maquillage Pro Beauty» be sure keep track of your purchases. There’s no one you can ask if you need information about your account, since the people who answer the phones «do not have access» to it. I’ve emailed them before but no one responds. Best of luck if you have any issues. If the owner herself isn’t willing to help, you’ll just have to deal with it. Be careful! Better yet, call Blair!

I have been to this place twice. My first visit went really well and the tan turned out pretty good. The staff was nice and made you feel very comfortable. My 2^nd experience was not as good. I had a different girl apply the spray tan, and she was very nice and friendly, however the tan was terrible. It was uneven and streaky, and she sprayed the palm of my hands which turned orange. I had a few blotchy spots on my neck and legs. Overall for $ 55 I would not use this place again.

I was really excited about coming here after reading all the reviews. I made an appointment on the phone for the new heights location. When I arrived, the place was nearly impossible to find with no signage. They didn’t have my appointment on their books and the heights location wanted to charge $ 15 more per spray tan than I was quoted on the phone (apparently the woodlands is much less expensive). I ended up walking out without a tan.

This was my first airbrush tan experience. They were really nice and helpful. My tan looked natural with no streaking or orange (except on the bottom of my feet where I accidentally walked through the tanning solution)

I have used Brushed Tanning two times and have been thrilled with the results! The tan lasts for days and days and fades well, especially in those awkward places like your ankles and feet :) The technicians are super professional and know what they’re doing! Run, dont walk to Brushed Tanning!

I am addicted to this. Being tan makes me feel so pretty and they way they do it at brushed tanning at Satori Salon in the Heights is Awesome. NO muss no fuss just pretty even tan skin. LOVE IT!!!

My story is kind of a ridiculous one — I went to an Aggie game right before a charity fashion show and ended up with a major farmer’s tan. I tried to fix it by going to Mystic Tan, and I ended up looking like a hot mess. Luckily the dim lighting at the fashion show prevented a total disaster, and while I was there, I found out about BRUSHED TANNING! A girlfriend of mine had tried it, and she looked fantastic, so I thought I’d give it a try for a gala I had the next week.
I made an appointment with Goldie at Satori Salon in the Heights. Holy moly! SO professional. First, she examined my skin to if there were any areas where the tan might not take. There was one little area on my arm where I was starting to peel, and she discussed the concerns of spraying me there. She also told me that if I began to peel too much before the event, I could come back for a touch up so I wouldn’t look funny. Then, she asked me to change clothes for the spray. They have disposable thongs/​bras you can wear or you can just go in the buff. I opted for the latter, and she came back and started to spray. I love that the spray didn’t stink like the terrible stuff in the Mystic Tan machine… and best of all, I didn’t look orange or have any streaks or scary hands like I have had previously.
I would recommend brushed tanning to ANYONE. I am trying to figure out a way to add it to my normal beauty routine b/​c I am tired of looking pasty white and looooove the natural bronzed look I got with this.

I am ecstatic over the results! I went in 2 days ago to be sprayed and it looks phenomenal — even, bronze and beautiful! I will be rockin’ it at Festari’s fashion show tonight and to a wedding tomorrow night!

i had never tanned before, afraid of looking like a very UNnatural oompa loompa. I’ve never really understood why girls WANT to look orange, so i just stayed away. that is until a friend recommended Brushed Tanning. I asked for natural, and i got exactly what i wanted. nobody could really place what had changed about me, except i was «glowing»…or they asked «what have you done?». the girl who airbrushed my tan was SO professional, which is what you want when you are pretty much totally nude!!! my tan lasted a week and a half, and just totally worth it especially when it makes you feel thinner, hides your cellulite, and makes you GLOWWWWWWW! i highly recommend them… AND they have a mobile tanning booth, so they can come to you OR a girls party. HELLOOO bachelorette??? LOVE it!
