Just barely above DUMP. Super cheap, $ 49.99 for medical rate, but going to pay more next time for different hotel on MDACC list. Everything rusted, cracked, moldy, & dirty. Hairs on bathroom counter, used/dirty washcloth left in bathroom, moldy shower curtain, funky smell. Place is not maintained nor cleaned well. You can hear every thing going on outside and in the surrounding rooms including the horn of the light rail that is blown several times in a row, every time it goes past. Not a pleasant experience. Would not recommend this place unless you are desperate.

What a hole. I got sent back to Houston for work, and my company let me choose my hotel as long as the price was reasonable. Considering I was gonna be here for a week and a half, I decided I wanted a room with a kitchen, and I needed something close to work. This hotel is located on Fannin just north of Holly Hall, right across from Reliant. Aside from having a kitchen and being close to work, it’s pretty close to 610 and 288 both. That’s about where all the up-sides end. The door to the room I get sticks so badly, that you have to hit it with your body weight to open it from outside. This particularly sucks when you’re trying to leave the room, and have to try pulling the door open. The room I got was tiny, and the refrigerator door handle is on the wall side of the fridge, which makes it really hard to get into it when there’s a counter right behind you. If you stay longer than 7 days, housekeeping is supposed to come on the 7th day to refresh all your linens and everything. On my 3rd day there, I was woken up at 8am when housekeeping body-slammed her way into my messed up door WITHOUTKNOCKING. I was completely asleep when she did it, and the little slide lock at the top of the door caught, which caused a huge«boom!» when she did it… ultimately scaring the shit out of me from a sound sleep. After she apologized, she came back an hour later, and knocked on my door over and over and over until I got up and told her I didn’t need housekeeping because the hotel didn’t provide a «Do Not Disturb» sign for my door. I’ve now been in the hotel for 9 days, and housekeeping hasn’t come back. The other occupants in the hotel are also very loud and rude. I’d stayed in other Extended Stay /Homestead hotels in other cities before, and while they’re not super nice hotels, this was the first really bad experience I’d had with one. I honestly don’t know if I’d stay at another one again, just because of how poorly-run this one is.
