Went for Lunch buffet. Everything was stale food. The food was not at all tasty. Also, very less main course items in the buffet. Did not seem worth for me. :(

I was extremely disappointed in this place 5 minutes into walking in. Not only did I wait 45 minutes for my food, it was cold. What really had me bothers was that I saw a rat running in the corner of the restaurant. I could not deal. I even tried to talk to the waiter about my food, but she was rude and unhelpful. Save your self from this horrible experience, and avoid this disgusting restaurant.

I was craving for biriyani so I heard good things from a Pakistan patient came here, their biriyani let me down not as flavorful or colorful as all the biriyani I had before but maybe because it was buffet style, butter chicken was good and so was their bread so for that I gave them an average rating but don’t think I’ll be coming back… fyi kids under 3 r free yay!

I ate here with a coworker for a surprisingly empty lunch. The place is very hidden, which might account for so few customers. Pros: — A very large spread with a lot of options — Pretty affordable and quick service — Plenty of parking and no buffett lines(at least when we went) — Some real standouts were chicken tika and beef Haleem Cons — A lot of the food was lukewarm or cold — Some of the curries were very runny and oily — Repetitive spices — Slightly depressing nightclub ambiance with no windows and low ceilings In general, this place was not my favorite Indo/paki buffet in Houston. But if you want a big spread for a good price, it’s worth a visit.

I walked in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Not only do they have an extensive buffet for a very reasonable price, the food is great tasting as well. The owner was very welcoming and seemed to care about the satisfaction of his customers. And the service was wonderful, with the staff clearing the table away promptly every time we went for refills and asking if we needed anything. Highly recommended!!!

I am not an avid fan of Indian/Pakistani buffet food due to compromised quality and items offered. But Haveli seems to be keeping up with the quality, flavor and offered selection very well. I like the fact that they don’t charge extra for fountain drinks and also includes chai in the price too. My usual favorites are their chicken corn soup, fried chicken, Haleem, Nehari, Halva-choley-puri during and omelette during weekend brunch. I am a regular here and I liked to frequent this place for my craving of Indian food. But unfortunately, I have seen something that really broke my resolve for this place and crushed my appetite to come here again… A RATRUNNINGTHROUGHTHEDININGAREA!!! Why can’t these restaurant owners be little more diligent and pay a pest control company to make sure their place is rodent free!!! I’m sorry but I feel this is my responsibility as a concerned citizen to point this out to all their customers and hope they will take care of this extremely serious issue and continue their business in a hygienic environment… Honest Good luck to them and flag of caution to all customers who frequent here…

I ran into this place by accident when my intention was to dine at another restaurant in the same shopping center needless to say this was an accident that was beneficial. Upon arrival I was greeted by a Gentleman who seemed to be the owner already a good sign to me this tells me somewhat a proprietor takes pride in his business. The buffet set up is outstanding all meat and veggie dishes were full of flavor. Also made to order naan as you enter. One setback the restaurant is hard to find it is literally a hidden Gem.

Nice décor. Cool fish. Buffet has hot items. Not cold. Looks like alot of work went into this place. I loved the chicken tikka. Soup was amazing. Most of all the décor is nice.

Finally, an Indo-Pak buffet that has variety and isn’t overpriced. Haveli caters to veg, non veg and epicureans looking to fill their plates with 20 plus gourmet entrees with the right amount of masala. Haveli delivers unlimited amounts of «hot off the stone oven» naan on your table. Waitstaff are knowledgeable of the menu and can give you more insight about their chef who brings his Bombay touch to the every plate. When you’ve had too much stuffings, grab some chai(complimentary in the buffet) and whip yourself some Gulab Jammun and Kheer. Little things I like about Haveli include: presentation, consistency, variety of chutnies, raitas, condiments and fixings that allow you to have complete customization of your plate. The place is big enough to host corporate or family events, which means seating is never an issue. I’m just so glad to see a clean, fresh and flavorful restaurant establishing itself in Hilcroft’s competitive restaurant market.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Been here a few times to give them more tries. Some time we come here and the food is amazing delicious and WA ting to come back a second time and when we come back the second time the food is bad. But than we would say maybe they had a bad night so we would try it again. Lol. So someday the are good and some days they are bad. But this is a buffet type place with over 20 different dishes. Their chai is really good to. I wish there was more workers to clean off the tables. This place is good for parties as everyone I go I see one or two parties going on.

An Über driver recommended this place to me so I had to try it. I must say that I have been to a lot of buffets in Houston l but this one by far was the worst. The restaurant is spacious(it was a nightclub before). I was kinda disappointed at the buffet! Although they had many choices, most of it was just cold and plain, actually some of it tasted like leftovers. I won’t even feed birds with the white rice they have! Since there’re SO many options to enjoy a delicious buffet around here, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I travel for work a lot and being indian myself I get to judge different type of indian/pakistani restaurants. Had dinner buffet at this restaurant and it was one of the best buffet ever had. Variety of non-veg and Veg dishes were on point with great taste and presentation. They have plenty of choices and food kept warm. Try buffet once and you won’t go wrong. Server staff was on top of things and gave warm naan upon request. Only thing they can improve is customer friendliness, seems like the person at desk did not appreciate business or cared to even have small talk during checkout. This was even after I patiently waited for him to finish his phone call for about 5 minutes. Food and cleanlines gets them 4 star.

Went here for my friend’s wedding. The food wasn’t spectacular. and the place itself looked rundown. NOTHINGLIKETHEPICTURES. I couldn’t eat anything from here. either it was too dry. or it just didn’t look appetizing. I piled a lot of food onto my plate but managed to eat only the rice(w/chicken??) and the fish. I took the fish head. Typical Asian me and ate it. lolll! Had to say that was pretty good. Yes. I ate other parts of the fish also. rofl. I probably won’t be coming here again.

I’ve been to a handful Indian restaurants in Houston(both menu-based and buffets) and was in the mood for it again last night. After seeing the good reviews on Unilocal,I decided on Haveli. When I walked in, there was no one at the front counter, and the restaurant had no customers. I walked into the dining area and was finally able to figure out the process after a kitchen worker directed me to just grab a plate. No waitresses, hostess or manager to be found. I’m not sure if they also have a menu, but I just came for the buffet so I grabbed a plate and started up to the buffet line. There was a large selection of entrees, which is great. The downside for me was that they were mostly chicken dishes! I find many of the white meat chicken dishes are too dry for my taste buds at many Indian restaurants, so I find the dark meat or avoid chicken all together. Beef Nehari and Mutton Curry were the two non-chicken entrees. Also available on the buffet were a few vegetable dishes, biryani, and rice with raita and other fried options. A smaller back buffet line contained the salad ingredients and the 2 desserts I saw, which I didn’t care for. After seated, they bring the naan to you, similar to other restaurants and you can even seeing the kitchen staff making the naan. However, I didn’t really like this naan at all. It just tasted too cardboardy and mass-produced. There is a drink station immediately to your right as you walk into the dining room. Fountain drinks, tea and water are located there. Service was good throughout the meal, because waitresses all of a sudden appeared in the dining area. When I finished eating, it didn’t take very long since I mainly liked the veggies and the beef and mutton dish, I went up to pay. This time an attendant at the front counter since a few other customers had arrived while I was eating. The buffet is only $ 11.99 for dinner($ 9.99 for lunch). Buffet price includes naan and a drink. NOTE: The price on Unilocal(when you check-in) is for a special buffet they have from 3−5am on Ramadan, so don’t pay that price.

Echoing some of the other comments, I would also agree this is the best Indo/Pak buffett in the area. I went with a group of 3 and 1 child yesterday evening around 8:30. There were maybe 10 people in the restaurant. It’s fairly clean and spacious. The buffett had maybe 10 – 12 main dishes, of which 4 were chicken, 1 – 2 goat, 1 lamb, daal, 2 paneer dishes, and rice dishes. There was also egg drop soup. They had some pakoras as well. Off to the side they had a separate serving area with raita, an egg plant dish, chickpeas, and spices. There was a self-serve soda fountain with iced tea as well. They brought a basket of fresh hot naan to the table. Overall the food was excellent quality. I liked the tandoori chicken, daal, and lamb dish the best. Food seemed fresh and they were bringing out more food pretty regularly. Price was $ 38 for the 4 of us — child must have been at half price. We did not try the dessert(kheer and pudding), but neither looked appetizing. The raita was also not very good. But other that, everything first rate. We have been to some other Indian buffetts in the area — Mezban, Bombay Sweets, etc. This was better.

A very decent $ 16 buffet in the heat of the city. I tried it around Eid time. Like all buffet restaurants, there is always something which would leave one disappointed, but then again we don’t go to a buffet restaurant for top notch quality, but for variety. And yes the restaurant does not disappoint when it comes to variety. Pros: A very wide selection of dishes. Live tandoor to get hot roti’s. The management seemed nice and helpful. Cons: Some of the dishes were not very impressive. The meat was not as tender as one would like. The ambiance of the place looks like more of a marriage hall then a restaurant.

We usually skip buffets, however this place is an exception to the rule. Everything was good, and favorites were goat, biriyani, naan, chicken Tikka. There was also sweet orange rice. Veggie selection was equally good. Towards the end of my meal, I noticed they had salad and soup. Unfortunately, I had no more room. The chandelier is really nice dropping down to the center of restaurant. It was 1⁄3 full when we stopped in an hour before closing. A few people were taking photographs. When we walked, they motioned us to have a seat anywhere. We were offered fresh naan after we sat down with our plate. We are making plans to visit for lunch. The owner mentioned that each time menu items change. Nice staff and service. Plenty of parking near restaurant and it’s really great that they extended hours compared to other restaurants.
