Ehhh, what can I say. I ordered a strawberry fruit smoothie with tapioca and you can tell the tapioca balls were not fresh. They are preserved with really really sweet syrup and it got a little gross. Also the syrup they add with the fresh strawberries is too sweet. I’ve had much better bobas and I don’t recommend this place.

If you work in the mall and don’t want to have to drive elsewhere for sushi(especially in the heat), this is the most convenient spot to grab some to go… It’s not that bad to be quite honest. You can’t really expect much from«mall food» if you know what I mean… Since this was my first time buying food here, the lady at the front was very helpful and assisted me as I was in a hurry to bring food back to my staff. I picked up a few rolls such as the California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll and Eel Roll. Along with that, I asked for Edamame. I could have opted for the warm rolls, but got the cold ones instead. My fault… I needed some brain food so I wasn’t thinking straight. You get about twelve rolls in a box and depending on the rolls, you can pay from $ 5.99−9.99 which I would say is a bit steep especially if you choose the cold ones. Its best to get the warm ones if you’re afraid to eat raw sushi. My total for three boxes of sushi rolls along with Edamame was $ 24-. You definitely have to be picky here especially if you don’t want to be burning a hole in your pocket for«mall sushi». I eat Japanese food all the time and know where to get some really great bites for a steal so I mean you can’t really expect much from this joint.

I was staying at the Westin and decided to walk over to the mall to get some food to-go. I wish I had ordered room service instead… I was craving Spider Rolls(fried crab) and Spicy Tuna so I asked if I could have a half-order of Spider Rolls and a Half order of Spicy Tuna. The lady working the counter(also the same person who made the sushi) said she could do it but then she proceeded to charge me the price of just the Spider Rolls($ 10.99 + tax) rather than the sum of half an order of spider and half order of tuna rolls. That was the first bad sign. When I got the food, the Spider Roll was probably the worst I’ve ever had. Over fried rather than lightly tempura fried. The meat was absolutely tiny and had no real flavour. The spicy tuna wasn’t terrible, but there’s nothing to good to say about it either. Additionally, these rolls were about 2 inches in diameter each… WTF! They wouldn’t even fit in the soy sauce cup provided, and the sushi rolls kept falling apart. If you’re craving sushi and you’re at the mall. Find another sushi place or you’ll still be craving sushi after eating at this place.

I know, I know… Mall Sushi? Run for your life!!! But it’s actually not bad. Would I seek it out like a Russian missile? No. But if you’re in the mall and feel like sushi, it’s fine. They have some already made(fresh each day, I’ve been there at the end of the day when they toss out what’s left) or they can make you something. They also have decent smoothies, tapioca bubbles if you want them or not. Be advised the use syrups and powders for some of their flavors, so if you’re not down for that take note. All and all it’s convenient and a nice alternative to the rest of the mall food court that keeps me in the gym. Jessica approved: coconut milk tea(with bubbles, of course)

Ehh… The tapioca stores in bellaire are way better than this place but since its conveniently located in the mall it attracts customers. The boba balls here are hard and chewy so I probably would order my drink minus the balls! I would not eat the sushi though, it looks old and will probably give you the runs!

The sushi here is alright, but it is a bit overpriced and I’d rather go to a restaurant for better and more sushi than the ones this place provides. The teas here are just a tad pricey, but not to the point where I would say that it’s overpriced. The teas here have consistency in the taste which is a major plus for me, but this place loses some points for the service isn’t all that great. Sometimes it’s great and others is bordering on ignoring after you’ve made your order.

Never had milk tea before going to this place on Labor Day. I tried the coconut milk tea… and um… I’m obsessed. I even tried some almond milk tea in Chinatown this past weekend to try and satisfy my craving and it didn’t work, sadly. The watermelon milk tea is really refreshing too. I also had some sort of passion fruit drink that was good but not great. I have a hard time understanding the differences in the types of drinks on the menu, but they seem happy to explain them to you. They have a bunch of the tapioca-looking stuff, but I didn’t try any of that. I’m such a huge fan of coconut flavoring, I don’t know how I will ever be able to order anything else! Oh, and this place is located in the Memorial City Mall food court, just so you know.
