You don’t understand — this place is a God-​send and a gift to mankind. The staff always seems so glad to see us … when we walk in we feel like we are just visiting family and they happen to make some smashing donuts. Always freshly made and the slogan on their bags/​packaging is spot on — when I bite into those donuts, kolaches, cinnamon rolls or whatever else I buy at Dawn’s, I just say to myself «you deserve a donut». People should drive from all parts of Houston for this goodness. So good that right now I am doing this review at work and thinking about sneaking away for a spell haha

Everyone from my job always goes here for breakfast for early morning meetings but I have never actually gone here myself until today. The kolaches are awesome! 6 big ones for $ 12 or 6 small for $ 5.50. Super yummy and filling. They also gave us free donut holes! Their donuts, while not what we got today, and comparable to Krispy Kreme but have the benefit of being from a family owned establishment and even a bit cheaper. It’s Dawn Donuts is definitely a little gem I will be visiting often to get my donut and kolache fix. And the staff are super friendly!
