I love the feel of this place and I love that its pet friendly. Tried the wings and salmon deviled eggs. Both were good although I was expecting wings to taste a little differently. This place is a tad over priced but the ambiance and the fact that its pet friendly definitely makes up for it.

Houston’s home for parents who shouldn’t have to change their lifestyle just because they had kids! I blame amnesia for thinking this weekend might be different from my last visit in 2014.

Romy and Chase were amazing bartender/waitress. Came in from out of town and was looking for a dog friendly place to take our pup to. They served us. Everything was amazing. If I’m ever back. Def coming back here. Salmon deviled eggs and chicken fried steak bites were on point!

The location is hidden from the main road. Turn into the pizza parking lot and make sure to go all the way down and it’ll open up into a parking lot for the place. Great place to bring your dog and relax outside or hang out with friends. The fries with the aioli sauce are delicious. There are many craft beers to choose from and they do have pitchers of mimosas that you and your friends can share.

My absolute favorite bar in Houston! My friends introduced it to me last year and I can’t get enough of this place. Great food. Great staff. Most importantly, great drinks! They used to have frozen Jameson and it was amazing! They said it was just a limited promotional drink, but I am still holding on to hope that it’ll come back. There is an average amount of tables inside, but the patio is huge. It’s dog friendly and it has heaters for those limited cold days in Houston. Oh, and it has a tons of parking in their private lot.

The food is really good. Comes out quickly. Selena and Micky always take great care of us. Great patio and lots outside seating. Great for dog owners. Do it!

This place is great, beer is so good and food as well. Their small Food menu sucks looks like some damn jack in the box tacos.

We came here because we wanted a patio for beers, burgers and our dog. It was a very pleasant surprise that THIS place also had great service and really good food. We started with the deviled eggs… salmon mousse deviled eggs. Four little egg halves filled with delish goodness. $ 3. I should have had about 20 of them! You can add one to any entrée for a $ 1. We also had some of the BBQ oysters. They were very very good. But kinda pricey. Still plenty of garlic butter and parmesan. Nice sized and tasty! Both apps I would recommend. We asked our waitress which sammy she recommended and she told us the Squirrel Master burger. The wife got hers without the egg. Poblano stuffed burger, jalapeño fried egg, pepper jack cheese, red onion and bacon. OMG! The bun was soft and light as air. The beef patty still had some pink in it. It was juicy and not too thin. The flavor was freakin’ amazing. The thin little fries that came with it were a bit overdone but the ones that weren’t fried hard were nice. We asked for a plain burger patty for our dog. It came out on a metal plate he could eat off of and had no salt or pepper added while being cooked. I didn’t ask how he liked it. But he ate it up lickety split. So I’m thinking it was pretty good. Brunch Sunday from 11 – 3 with biscuits and gravy, migas, Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas. I may have to take the wife and dog back for that! The beer selection wasn’t over extensive and included a lot of local beers. It’s not on the beer menu but they have sampler flights. And the pours for those are very generous. They also have some nice classic cocktails. We didn’t go inside except to use the bathroom. Clean and bright. Our only drawback… the donut holes we had for dessert. Dry and too dense. It was more cake than donut. So I will avoid those on future visits.

I always pass by this place on my way to my gym, but never had the chance to go until Sunday. The patio and outdoor area are amazing! Huuuuge open spaces. Of course, the fact that they are dog-friendly is great to know. My pup had a great time mingling and receiving pats on the head from folks passing by. They have nice beer and food selection. You can’t go wrong with a couple of games of corn hole or giant jenga on the patio either.

Basically: Great atmosphere, ample space inside and outside with parking, and expansive drink selection. Cottonwood is a great spot to kick it back with your friends to grab a beer or four. As soon as you walk towards the entrance into the expansive patio, you see a cute Cottonwood sign. The door leads you into the main dining area and bar with glowing lights. They have live music on some nights. Yes, you can still carry a conversation with the live music in the background. Service was adequate. It’s a walk-in and seat yourself kind of deal, so you have to wait for your waiter to notice you or flag one down for your table. Again, service throughout my duration was okay. I can imagine service being a hit or miss here, depending on your table location. May the odds be in your favor. Food was okay for me. BBQ Oysters(3/5, Gulf oysters broiled with garlic butter and parmesan): Not sure why they call it BBQ oysters, no BBQ is present. This was the a-okay dish of the night with one or two being overdone. Boudin Balls(1/5, House-made boudin balls served with house remoulade): It was my first time trying boudin balls. I realized I’m not a fan. I tried a bite and let my friend finish the ball I tried. Next. Squirrel Master Burger(2/5, Poblano stuffed burger, jalapeño fried egg, pepper jack cheese, and bacon with chipotle aioli fries): It’s not squirrel meat for your information! I wish it tasted as great as it looked when I first saw it come my way. I’ve had burgers better than this. Honestly, I was quite excited to try this due to my burger craving and Unilocal reviews. It was pretty oily, lacking flavor, and fell apart within minutes. Being a bun girl, it was disappointing. Fries stole the spotlight with the chipotle aioli sauce, which cost $ 0.50 or $ 1 extra(forgot exact price). I wasn’t a big fan about the food but bring some good company and enjoy Cottonwood with your dog as well. It is dog friendly! :)

So I like this place environment wise. It’s spacious, nice space and a variety of things to do or where to sit. The problem with this place is the food. I’ve been here maybe 3 times and I could just not love any of the food I’ve tried. Ceviche is very small and overpriced, the chips that accompanied the ceviche were not crispy but ceviche was okay, fish tacos were so bland. No taste whatsoever and overpriced too. I think the first thing I ever tried was one of the panini(sorry it’s been a long time) and all I could taste was onion. Meat was bland and no taste. Now will that stop me from coming here? No, I like the drinks and the environment and someone told me here you’re paying for the environment not for the food. It’s true but just eat before coming here for a drink! Went recently for a bridal get together. Tried the sloppy joe burger(too spicy for my linking) and also the chicken fried steak bites(too bland). I’ll stick to the drinks the cat cradle I think It’s what it’s called delicious!

This place is a rather neat venue with two different outside vibes, one more music based and one more chill for talking. There is a large drink selection, but it’s no bargain. It’s well suited for an organization happy hour or meeting up with friends.

This place has a huge patio! Love the environment ! Reminds me of College Station. Love the attitude of the servers and the food is good too! Had the steak night on Thursday and it was such a huge portion had to Togo. Came with an 18oz ribeye, side salad, Mexican rice and 2 shrimp enchiladas all for $ 18!!! My friend made me try the Bloody Mary and definitely do no regret it. Came with a pickle and a sweet and salty bacon! Spicy just how I like it!

I live across the street so I come here quite a bit. It’s a nice bar, Austin vibe. The crowd is always pretty good. Busier for sure when they have a live band(which is often) Ive had a good mix of their food and drink items and honestly have enjoyed it all. Boudain not as spicy as I’d like but good. I’ve had the pulled pork sandwich pretty recently that was so yummy. Perfect amount of salt spice and(no sogginess) They have frozen drinks on a rotation. Their frozen whiskey sours, OMG. Delish on a hot night. Or all the time rather. I always find myself talking to random people here, it’s very easy to start up conversations. Everyone is so easy going.

Been here a couple times with friends. Great outdoor patio bar. Tons of seating, good beers on tap and specialty cocktails. Bathrooms were very clean, always a good sign for a bar. I didn’t have their food so I can’t comment on that but it looked really good.

This place has great potential. Their Squirrel Master burger was very good. Boudin balls, ceviche were excellent. My biggest pet peeve is warm beer. Their beers are outstanding, but barely even cool. had the Karbach Love Street and Buffalo Bayou Sam’s Daily and all were excellent but not cold. This is just a personal preference. Place has lots of potential, but not something to go out of the way for.

I would totally give this place 5 stars but they didn’t have ANYTHING I wanted to order on a Sunday afternoon. Apparently, the bar gets pretty busy on Fridays and Saturdays so they’re out of everything on Sundays. Love the atmosphere here. Super chill, causal, and laid back. Very spacious patio with fire pits in case it gets a little nippy at night! ;) There’s usually a live band and I hear it’s pretty busy pretty much Wednesday-Sunday.

Cool place to go with your dog. They have a large outdoor area with picnic tables that you can sit at with your dog. Inside you will find a stage where they have bands play and a large bar. We chose to sit at the bar and enjoy the a/c. They have specialty cocktails and many beers on tap. I chose to have a dark and stormy. I always order this when I see it on the menu. It was very good. Prices were reasonable. There is a large parking lot. This is a very relaxed place. Inside you are able to carry on a conversation because they weren’t blaring music. Definitely a cool hang out place.

Perfect Texas Forever Place that offers craft beer, mixed drinks, and a solid lineup of good eats! The décor is resplendent and offers a nice mixture of high/low light fixtures. The space is very opening and welcoming. Plus, there is ample parking. For amusement, there is corn-hole, foose-ball, fire pits, and 4 – 5 tvs to watch the big games. Also, has a dog-friendly outdoor patio. I ordered the following: 1) Bloody Mary-interesting, had a spicy kick. You can get it with bacon or shrimp, but I’d probably try it with shrimp next time because the cold bacon didn’t really do much for me 2) BBQ oysters — star of the show, enjoyed the mix of sweet/savory flavors(and I sometimes get tired of that aspect of bbq if it’s too sweet), would order again 3) salmon deviled eggs — 3 bucks, 4 pieces = countless, satisfied tastebuds, would order again 4) Squirrel Master Burger — met my juicy expectations and then some, although very heavy Will definitely come back to try the Sloppy JoJo!
