The first question that popped into my head when I walked into this store was«How many times has this place been robbed?» There wasn’t a single bottle of alcohol less than a liter in arms length. The«small items» were behind this wall of plexiglas. Now, the store clerk was pretty friendly(been there for 15 years) and they had what we came there for, so it served its purpose. Plus, it’s one street over from where I live and relatively close to some BYOB restaurants in the neighborhood. I will come again when in another time crunch or too lazy to drive over to Spec’s. As far as selection goes, it was pretty bare minimal, but had the mere necessities to make a decent liquored refreshment.

this liquor store looks like it’s straight out of compton. metal bars on the windows and doors. all the liquor is behind plexi(bulletproof?) including the counter and cash register. but it’s a mom and pop place so i’d rather come here than go down the street to valero to buy beer. the selection isn’t great. actually nothing about this place is great. you can find all your standard liquors, but probably no dice on the superfancy or obscure ones. the wine selection is just atrocious. the only questions are: red or white? ernest & julio gallo, turning leaf, or franzia? hmm… if you’re buying fruit juice mixers, wipe off the dust first and check for an expiration date. this place is really convenient if you live in the neighborhood. if you didn’t live nearby, i don’t know why else you would go there.
