I had a California cheeseburger here and I wasn’t overwhelmingly impressed. It wasn’t offensive in any way and I suspect that a different menu choice might have influenced a higher star rating from me. I will say that the outdoor deck is AMAZING. I loved the atmosphere. It felt like a little oasis in the middle of the city. The price was decent(not cheap but not overpriced either) and I could tell that the quality of food was much higher than any old fast food restaurant.

I used to live on Augusta Drive, right up the street from this ‘Beck’s Prime’ and it was a fun neighborhood to walk and see apt. buildings, low-rise condos, houses, sky scapers and small businesses all mixed in on the same block! Houston has no zoning! Houston is a great place too! This section of Houston is unique in that it is just outside the loop, yet you still get the benefits of walking to close-by grocery stores, banks, neighbor’s apartments, and of course a cozy place called BECK’S PRIME. The décor is simple and retro-fast-food-type(’55 Chevy photos) and very clean inside. You order with a simple menu and when you get your burger, made-to-order, every bite tastes of ‘fresh’, something well thought out, detail-oriented and tasty tasty tasty! I cannot say enough. This place makes a burger like a German auto maker makes an engine. It is well thought out, precise, simple and delicious! They have other locations throughout Houston and I am very surprised and saddened that Becks Prime is not in my current hometown of St. Petersburg Florida, and in other areas around the country. Maybe one day! I will be back to my olé ‘hood and I will revisit Beck’s Prime !

I ABSOLUTELYLOVETHISPLACE! Becks Prime does it right every time. I come here for lunch often since it’s down the street from my job. I’ve come when it was crowded and the line moves very fast. The wait time is always minimal. The restaurant is small and cozy, and they offer patio seating too. Since we are in Houston, the translation is «when weather permits.» Sitting outside is very nice and tranquil. It’s like sitting in your back yard. There is limited parking, but I’ve only come for lunch so I can’t speak on how crowded it may or may not be in the evenings. The food? Yeah, let’s get to the food. Each and every item is absolutely delicious! Your burger will be cooked as requested, and it is huge. You will not leave here hungry if you order a burger. Get the fries too. They’re delicious. I like the Seared Ahi Tuna sandwich, the baked potato and my favorite is the Queen of Hearts salad. I always add meat to mine, and it’s the Seared Ahi Tuna. You will not be disappointed with the food. The customer service is top notch. You will always be greeted in a friendly manner and a with smile. The alcoholic beverage selection is in the front where you place your order. They have a wide variety of beer and wine. The selection is there for you to choose the drink of your choice. I always order Modelo beer. It’s always ice cold too. Go ahead and visit Becks Prime for yourself. I’ll be back again real soon.

Delicious burgers albeit pricey. Amazing chocolate malts worth every penny. Honestly the food is good but pricey which is why I give it 3 stars instead of 4. It’s not fast food even if there’s a drive thru.

The first time I came to this place was a few years back. My husband wanted burgers so we came here today. I got the Blue Cheese burger and as expected, it was very Blue Cheesy! The fries were awesome. My husband loves the Bacon Cheeseburger here and the sweet potato fries. One of the best things about this place is the service. The people who work there are so nice and friendly — makes you want to keep coming back! You can tell they want your business. The place is super clean, including the restrooms. Back to the food: they have more than just burgers. They have stuffed baked potatoes, salads, chips and guacamole. People like to sit outside. I thought it’d be too hot but the big tree gives a lot of shade.

One of the best burgers around! You will not spend less than $ 10 bucks on the burger but it is worth it! The fries are great and you can always get the kids meal«which is adult size» for about $ 9

Burgers are not what they used to be! The charcoal flavor is what kept me coming back; however, this visit I didn’t taste the same burger I have been craving for months! Had to also move inside because the birds and flies were horrible! They literally would jump on your table and try to grab your food. Moved inside and flies were still surrounding our burgers. Sweet potato fries were the only thing memorable. Won’t be back any time soon. Very disappointed in quality of burgers for the price.

Very clean establishment and the food was fantastic. Passing through Houston and found this online and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. Family friendly, little pricey for burgers but worth every penny and better than the typical fast food restaurants. Staff friendly and manager was on the floor helping out. Impressed.

the meat was perfectly cooked and delicious(I got the California burger) — guacamole could be more solid but it was fine. Fries is yummy :) *lemonade is not homemade as described !! go to outside under the huge tree, especially evening … you will see big light balls and hear live jazz music… wow ! more than a burger place ;)

This place always has pretty solid burgers where the smell lures you in. Bill’s burger is my standard, only issue is that it comes with bacon, but very little. The burger is still plenty big. I always order fies and feel like they are missing something, maybe just to real for me. During a nice day the outdoor patio with the ancient oak is great. Milkshakes are solid. Staff is always friendly and they are quick to get you a refill if you go to the counter. Lines can form quickly. When a buddy and I ate there, he finished up a phone call and line went from no one to 12 people in about 30 seconds, seriously. They get you through quick thought.

Great burgers and sandwiches, delicious roasted veggies, and exquisite chocolate thick milkshake. There is no doubt, Beck’s Prime is a true contender among all the different burger places. It is pricy, yes, yet you will find that it is worth it. This location is especially neat, because when you are able to sit outside you will be among hundreds of year old oak trees(apparently the two largest in Harris County). The only reason not to give five stars is that we had a couple of occasions when the food was cold and had to be returned. Also, personally, I don’t like their chili at all. However, the manager/owner is very customer service driven and whenever we had a complaint we were heard and served accordingly.

We wanted a good hotdog and what we ended up with was GREAT! A grilled dog smothered in chili and fresh grated cheese served on a hamburger bun! What a twist! The home fries were to die for and my beer was ice cold! Highly recommend! Friendly service too!

So I’ve noticed every Beck’s Prime I’ve gone to is adjacent to some really nicely landscaped area. This location has two huge oak trees that are over 400 years old. Plus two huge patios. It’s in the middle of a big city but it’s very peaceful. They always have very calming atmospheres which is a nice getaway in Houston. Besides that, the burgers are always juicy and cooked to perfection. The portions are huge so you have to share. Well you don’t have to, but you should. It’s always clean and the service is quick and efficient. If I had to pick something negative I guess I’d say prices, but paying more for quality is worth it to me.

Food was alright but the atmosphere outside is great, especially if you want to bring your dog along! The chicken was a bit dry and you have to run inside anytime you need anything. I’d say it’s an average place to grab a bite.

Another Beck’s visit means another good burger. Beck’s, as always, is more expensive than the average fast food joint, but the burgers and fries aren’t fast food quality. The prime in the name applies. It’s my favorite burger and I’ve driven from Austin just for Beck’s. Yes, really. If there was one glitch at all in this experience, it was that the tea tasted funny. When we mentioned it to them, they immediately agreed, poured out the tea, and made new tea. When you combine that with the manager who was checking every order before it came out, you can see that the attention to detail pays off at Beck’s.

So far I have tried to give this location 4 different chances to serve me a good burger, and they have failed each time. My complaint? Every time the meat is only cooked half way, even after I ask for it the be grilled until«well done». Four times now it has been the same issue, and the same result. What I do love about the place? The giant oak tree in the back. It’s the only awesome thing to say about this location.

I really like this place. It’s peaceful to just sit outside because it’s under huge trees that provide shade, though I admit sometimes I’m a little afraid that the birds will come try to eat my food. I usually get the Ahi tuna sandwich and although the food here is «fast food,» it’s obviously a huge step up from McDonalds. Prices are obviously a bit steep for fast food, but the quality of the food is better too.

Friendliness, that is what you will experience here, nothing more, nothing less. The staff here is trained on customer service, you can tell everybody is on the ball with this, thank you Beck’s Prime location on Augusta/Westheimer. Parking is all around the building but the main thing and the one thing I gave it an extra star is because of that humungous 400 plus old tree that almost covers the restaurant. I had the lucky experience to step in here on a mild 85 degree day and take my food out on one of the many tables that are settled under the tree. This tree is shared by my other favorite place«Mouldon’s Patio» which is a bar so if you do not get enough alcohol here you can stumble next door and finish your tipsiness off. The tree is 400 years old and growing, there is a sign that says do not climb and you better heed to that or a bird is going to poop on your food. When you walk in you will be hit in the face with a bouquet of smoked in what smells like hickory or pecan scents. That is what you will be tasting in your burger, your ribeye, your chicken and your fingers when you are done. It is not an over powering taste, just right. I usually order the ribeye sandwich which is very tasty but maybe a tad on the tough side. It is about $ 11, the burgers are about $ 8 +. The french fries I stay away from. Everybody else raves about them but they seem to be as dull, greasy, and nasty, kind of like Five Guy’s burgers. They are I believe«hand cut» type instead of machined shoe stringed like McDonald’s, not 100% sure on that you might have to check that out yourself. Beer selction is pretty big for a nominal place like this. I uploaded a picture and if I can remember right I think there were about 40 bottles of your favorite brew, wine and such. Restrooms are clean, well stocked. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Tip to New Unilocalers: If you find that your review is more than 500 words, it might help a lot of people and entice them to read it if you break your review into paragraphs especially for the phone app users it is hard for them to read a long paragraph because of the size of the lettering.
