I visited this coffee shop twice in the last couple months. I live in the neighborhood, and the first time I visited because my internet went out at home, and I was scrambling to be on a webinar. AHH Coffee! saved me with their wifi connectivity! Each time I’ve been the staff has been exceptionally nice. For those of you who do not eat/drink dairy, they have almond milk! I’m surprised not every coffee shop serves almond milk or soy milk by now, however AHH Coffee! does serve it, and I’m impressed. I noticed a few extra amenities: board games, dog watering bowls, and self-serve water. The coffee shop had very few seated customers when I visited(Sat morning and daytime during the week). I’d love to see more customers utilizing the coffee shop space in the future. If you work downtown or live in EaDo, why not make this one of your frequent meeting spots?

This is a gourmet coffee shop with good location. I tried their flat white and will come back often for it.

Didn’t really care much for the coffee here but I’m not the biggest coffee connoisseur either. The service was great. The two baristas that were working during my visit were both so sweet and nice. Gave my friend and I recommendations. Parking here is crap. There’s only one way in and one way out and it is steeeeep. Lower cars beware or park on the street. Lots of space inside to hang out and work or study.

Great latte! Even though I got a to-go cup, the barista took the time to give me some latte art to start my day :) brownie points for friendly staff! My friend ordered a macchiato and the worker wanted to make sure we knew what it was — double shot espresso with just a little bit of milk, unlike what Starbucks gives you for a macchiato. We appreciated her guidance to make sure we knew what we were getting! My friend already knew what a macchiato was, but we thanked her for her customer service. Fun name for a coffee joint– would definitely come back again.

5 star for the best blueberry cream cheese danish, its the best danish I’ve ever tasted in my life! Vanilla latte is good but I should’ve asked for no foam because it was pretty thick *yuck* also food runs out quick here but I love the area. Free parking and it had a nice ambiance. Very spacious indoor.

It’s hard to beat the cappuccinos and Cortado’s here. These guys know what they are doing when it comes to coffee & there is not another shop of this quality within a few miles. If you are downtown, it’s the place for coffee!

Sad to say that Ahh Coffee disappointed and let me down today. Not a month ago I came in and had no issues but this time I was not so lucky. I was on a mission to provide some green tea for the love of my life. I remembered a good experience at ahh and wanted to support a local business. So I came in and asked for the green tea menu, which they somehow no longer had. The barista pointed to a pathetic box of tea mixtures that would excite a mixologist until they discovered the green tea mixture was no longer in stock. Saying, «we’re changing things up» is like saying, «I don’t give a shit about you tea drinkers.» How can you promote and advertise tea on your window without having green tea? When was it a revolutionary idea that green tea shouldn’t be mixed with all kinds of bs? And who was the yahoo that failed to realize that they were out let alone running low? It doesn’t require a brain surgeon to order and stock green tea. I’m sure one of these bums on the street could do better than whoever is running this joint. I can at least rely on them to be on the corner. Why can’t I rely on a place to fill their minor role in society? Well, you lost my business to Catalina Coffee who fulfilled my need. This story ends with me being late to my appointment on account of ahh’s incompetence and complacency. And the moral of the story is… don’t go here if you want something quick, or you want hot tea, because they don’t give a shit about you.

Very high quality coffee. The pull and pour were done superbly by a well trained barista. They use locally roasted beans and locally sourced high quality jersey milk from Mill King. Overall I was very impressed with my drink.

Industrial building with a very airy and open layout. This place obviously understands my love for exposed ceilings — it really expands a room. The coffee choices are your classic offerings such as a flat white, latte, café au lait, etc. They’ll give you a sample beforehand to let you taste their roasts(all organic). I got an iced café au lait and it was perfect. They offer agave syrup for sweetener which is another point in their favor. They have one tv and it was playing Grease on ABC Family which I found oddly hilarious. The music is easy-listening pop which was enjoyable. The furniture is very comfortable and the natural lighting creates a perfect zone of leisure. I could totally see myself curling up on the couches to read or study. Honestly, when I’m in EaDo, I’m coming back to Ahh.

I normally come to this area once a week during the evening, so when I was in the area for the morning I thought it was the perfect chance to visit here. I normally frequent Tout Suite. I ordered a 12oz drip coffee and a ham&cheese danish. Total 4.87. A steal compared to Tout where I would have paid close to double. It’s around 11:30 and was disappointed to see there was no creamer. No half and half. I asked if there was any left(thought maybe they just hadn’t filled any back up), but was told they have milk. I’m not a huge fan of milk substituted as cream, but I don’t like black coffee so I had to endure it. Overall, it’s very spacey and the couches are comfy. I was also hearing that they will be getting rid of size large. A disappointment for all the caffeine addicts like myself. I’ll come back to give it another try, but it won’t be at the top of my list of to go places for coffee.

Ah, Coffee is a great hole in the wall near downtown Houston. The coffee was good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Their seating arrangement is nice, and comfy. It’s a great place to study if your looking for a quite place to read. The customer service was on point, she attended to every need I had. The only down fall was that they have to share parking with other company’s, and it was harder to find a spot with a bigger Vehcile. Overall 8.5÷10

Love this location! Close to home and friendly don’t get to join them often enough. John and Team do a nice job. Close to Minute Maid Park and BBVA Stadium and Metro stops

I wanted to find a quiet coffee shop where I could drink some coffee and read my book during the storm on Saturday. Tout Suite is great, but way too loud for reading a book. I decided to try out Ahh Coffee, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered a flat white, which was excellent, and Ahh Coffee was quiet, had numerous comfy couches, and a TV playing college football. All in all, Ahh Coffee was the perfect place to spend an hour or two reading my book on a rainy day! Only con? Parking is pretty sparse, but, hey, it’s Houston.

Stopped in to grab a coffee to go and wished I could have stayed to enjoy the open atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and chatty. They had only been open a few months and were super excited to see new faces. Saw they have a pretty awesome beer happy hour but was not able to indulge that day. Always lovely to see new businesses opening in the East End!

**UPDATE** We came back again on another Sunday, and I ordered the same Assam tea I got last time. When they brought it out to me, they brought the bottle of honey, unprompted. They remembered from last time that I preferred honey in my tea and just brought it out without me having to ask. I went ahead and upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars because that is the most amazing thing ever.

Ahh Coffee is a quiet clean and open atmosphere. I enjoyed the selection of beer they offered, my friend tried the iced latte. The Woman was extremely nice and answered my questions. I went back to try a banana nut muffin and it was brought to my table all warmed up :) sweetness indulged.

Very affordable little coffee shop in EaDo. They have a great selection of coffee and espresso drinks, plus some pastries, sodas, and beers. Their happy hour is daily and features $ 2.50 Texas Beers! The atmosphere is great. There are comfortable couches, WiFi access, tables and chairs for working. A variety of music plays depending on when you come in, and modern art adorns the walls.

More people need to come here! What I like about this coffee shop is that it’s close to BBVA stadium and next to a bar, which I use to frequent at, before it was closed. When we found it the BF and I were not sure what to expect with such a silly name. The baristas are always sweet and accommodating. Whatever I want, they will get for me. They bring out our coffee to us each and every time. As for the interior space, along with the plants it has a clean industrial feel. Clean lines, black leather, simple art. It all comes together nicely. The furniture is comfy and you feel you can be there for hours. I wish they had more latte/mocha flavors. I’m not a proper coffee fan. I like all the sweet sweet flavors with just a hint of coffee flavor. Despite that, I do like each of the mochas I’ve tasted and their iced coffee choices. Coolest thing they’ve done for me that caused them to go from a 4.5 to a 5? I asked about the ingredients to one of the drinks prior to ordering it, when I learned it had lemon or orange. Can’t recall, just remember it was something my body hates. I told them I had a citrus allergy and they switched out an orange/lemon based drink with chai instead like it was no big deal. That really won me over. Other places would pitch a fit or talk about that’s how they pre make an item.(I know, I’ve dealt with this before when dealing with removing citrus from items at different locations.) She was so easy and nonchalant about it, that I was thinking, «How is this place not the first spot I think of when I think of coffee?» I really hope they do well. They have a mixture of beers, pastries, and even cute little Ahh Coffee mugs you can buy. You definitely need to come to check it out. My coffee boyfriend loves the coffee apparently. He likes his coffee black with little sugar. I’m all about flavors. It’s definitely a place to keep in mind if you want to relax somewhere before a Dynamo, Dash, or Astros game.

Stopped through for a cup of coffee, and while I think they need to continue training, I would definitely stop through again later on to see how the shop is coming along. Is there better coffee to be had in the area? Sure, but downtown, so it’s nice to see another spot open in the East End. Seems like a chill spot, but what’s up with all the BS5 start reviews? Sad to see new shop owners doing that. ***update: so you reply and get defensive when I make it clear you just opened, did NOT generally complain about the coffee, just that I’m excited to go back and see it improves… and you forget to mention the shill reviews which was my main concern? Perfect social etiquette there :(
