Best. Service. Ever. You know how big box stores never have anyone around when you need them, let alone someone who actually knows anything about the product you need? These guys have plenty of staff. If they don’t have your answer, they find someone who does.

Convenience, location, knowledgeable help, and friendly atmosphere — this is why I go there. They seem to have everything I need. Their participation in the Saturday Orphan Pets Program is to be commended. Returns are no problem if it’s in the original package and not used — worst-case you’ll get a credit.

I really hate going here because I know I am going to over pay for whatever I buy. But I do admit the store is packed with a lot of interesting things. Unfortunately I couldn’t find what I needed the last visit. But the store rep did try to help. Maybe in another life I could say I love this store but its just ok for me. If you live nearby it’s the best option around.

Love my Ace hardware, awesome people! Tommy, Brian and a few others always helpful with all my projects and questions. So conveniently located, and I always look forward to stopping by and seeing the little critters up for adoption.

I come here expecting to pay slightly more than a big box store, but: 1) every employee is helpful and knows where everything is: 2) they can help you problem solve what you need instead of just pointing you to the right aisle: 3) no long lines or giant parking lots. I often come here with a problem and no plan and leave with the right equipment and viable repair plan that has worked out.

Ace Hardware City on Memorial is the hardware store my family went to when I growing up. A recent trip home confirmed that this Ace continues to represent the gold standard in customer service. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable about the products they sell and incredibly skilled at diagnosing home repairs as described by me, a complete lay person. I recently helped my parents install some new faucets they bought from Ace. We had to buy some additional parts to fit the faucet lines onto the house’s supply lines. John and Tommy are our go-to people for help. We told them the make of the new faucet and brought in a supply line from the old faucet. They took one look and immediately knew which parts we needed and in what sizes. They parts were exactly what we needed. The big box home improvement stores might price things a little lower, but Ace ultimately will save you an even more valuable currency — time. The employees are incredibly knowledgeable and on hand to make sure you get the things you need in a timely manner. You will not be left wandering through aisles or sifting through drawers on your own, trying to figure out which size washer or hose you need. Plus, on the weekends, Ace Hardware City partners with a local animal shelter, and there are dogs you can adopt(or play with)!

Customer service centered business plan! There has not been a time when I walked in for some odd part or random fixture and was greeted with a «Welcome to Ace Hardware. Can I help you find something?». Home Depot is far enough away for me to not want to deal with the drive, traffic, and whatever else gets in the way. Granted the mark up a higher than that of the other big box retailers. Ace itself appears to be another large corporation. I found out that many of the stores are actually franchises that are locally owned. As a home improvement novice it is good to know that it is around the corner from my place. Recently I had a fuse go out at my house. An electrician expert was there to help me figure out the type of fuse I needed as well as the model. We settled on a arc fault type because of my house fire paranoia. Ace has come a long way from the down and out local hardware store it was a decade ago. They absolutely beat their competitors on customer service and available experts.

The workers in this store are very very helpful. They have saved me a small fortune over the years by explaining the nuances of small plumbing and electrical jobs I have worked on. This Memorial Drive Ace Hardware store understands the meaning of «customer service».

Thank goodness for Ace Hardware! This franchise has successfully found its niche and has demonstrated that it can compete against those other behemoths: Lowes and Home Depot. You do pay more at Ace, but who cares! It seems I’m always in the middle of a «honey do» project that gets me stumped at some point. The solution? Drive around the corner to Ace, explain the situation to their knowledgeable staff, and co-create a solution with them. You then buy what you need and if it isn’t quite right, you bring it right back for a refund and work on Plan B. This sort of service is really hard to find in this day and age which is what makes Ace such a breath of fresh air.
