A wide variety of tropical drinks, expensive except Happy Hour is a good deal. Service is good: polite and attentive. They manage to get drinks out quickly even when the place is packed. The live music was good, although they butchered David Gray’s «Babylon.»

It’s pricey for food and drinks. Tables are difficult to come by as it is first come, first served here. The entertainment was excellent however – whoa! Great trio playing everything from Michael Jackson to Van Morrisson. Bartenders needed an attitude adjustment the nights we were there. Too rigid and unfriendly.

Great place to watch a game, have a drink, look at girls in bikini’s and relax. The waiters are ONSPOT and you don’t have to try to look them in the eyes to get their attention… they’re looking for the customers to service them. Great bar staff get great tips!

The only bar open till midnight at the Hilton, so we ended up here after dinner. Prices were a little pricey but that’s what you have to expect at a resort. We ordered a few mai Tais and they were good as usual. Nice atmosphere and there was okay live music.

Not a bad atmosphere at all. Was looking for a place to sit with some live music and we found one right here in our hotel. The one star downsides to this is, the tables are first come first serve. So we had to wait for a little bit before finally sitting but that was ok. The drink prices are as of standard club bar prices for any hotel. 1 $ 10 — $ 13 for you mix drinks like blue hawaii and mai tais. Draft beer was roughly $ 5 – 8 if not during happy hour. Music was great and the band’s playing are all locals.

Not a bad place to kick back and listen to live music or watch the daily entertainment. The only downside is tables are on first come first basis. Which isn’t bad unless you’re the big group that can’t find adjacent tables. Single or small group less than four do not have that problem. For the menu, it’s a bit expensive. But hey, you’re at the Hilton. Be ready to pay luxury prices for drinks. Domestic beer $ 8 for 16 oz, $ 10 for 22oz. Specialty beer $ 9 for 160z, $ 11 for 22oz. Tropical mix drinks, you’re looking between $ 12 – 14. As for the food, pizza. They have five choices of pizza. And it takes about 30 – 40 mins per order. It’s stated in the menu. Overall, not a bad place.

We only had drinks. However at happy hour but the pour was nice and strong for a Mai tai. Bartender was cool and gave us a couple pointers for local joints. They have live music but we were only there for a few minutes to get a quick buzz and walk out to the beach. Make sure to not get a double. Just buy four drinks. It’s a nicer pour and less money during happy hour.

Good place. A large open-air bar — lots of bar seating and tables — with friendly, helpful staff and live Hawaiian music every evening. The huge cocktail list includes excellent mai tais.(I think the«Maui Mai Tai» is my second favorite in Waikiki, behind the Hale Koa’s.) A drinks– and atmosphere-focused bar, there’s not much food on the menu, which really could use at least a little more than a few pizzas.

After spending a dinner date, we passed by the bar and tried it because music was good. Live music was great as well as the environment. CUSTOMERSERVICEWASHORRIBLEEEEE!!! DRINKSARENOTGREAT. We told our server that the drink/smoothie was too sweet and she told us to tell the bartender. Food is mostly just pizza. BETTERSERVICEATWAILANAS. GOACROSSTHESTREET.

We went for a walk around Waikiki Beach and ended up at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Being thirsty(and yearning for a cold draft), we stopped at the«Tapa Bar». Since 2013 it’s been renovated and no more couches filled with tourists sleeping awaiting their flights. They’ve taken that area and added more tables/chairs. Great! As for the service, the bartender was such a «BWA»(Bartender with Attitude). Slow, and when I had asked him, «So, what do you have?», he pointed to the display of beverages and said«It’s all right there.». No smile or hint that he was joking. He was serious. How rude. The beer I ordered came to $ 8. Not bad considering you’re isolated from the sometimes scary locals there along the beach and safely set at the Hilton. My wife opted for a non-alcoholic beverage, which I give him credit in recommending to her. The manager was on site and he «pepped-up» when he was in the area. I had asked the manager why food wasn’t served(actually I said, «Why not even offer peanuts or pretzels») and he said they had to change to plastic cups and remove the food because the birds would ruin the place, e.g. break glasses, invade your meal, bother you, etc., so he had to remove it from being an option. Now, being a retired police officer, I know you are«supposed»(I don’t know Hawaii state laws) to offer something aside from alcohol as a food to prevent over intoxication(over indulgence), where I worked, so I can’t see that another method of serving snacks couldn’t be thought of. Just writing this here brings to mind the offering of boiled and flavored Edamame(sesame or garlic to name a few) or other non-bird enticing snacks. This just didn’t seem right. One DWI from a patron and they will be sued to the hilt. It’s outdoors and not in a place where snacks can’t be served. You have a table and chair, you have a bar countertop, and there is just no visible reason for this oversight. Try chips and other snacks in a bag or covered«Themed» wooden bowl of nuts. It would be fun and meet the standards. I expect more from the resort where I own TWO timeshares. Let’s get it together folks. The price is right for a safe, somewhat clean rest area within the Hilton confines. Grab a coke and leave. That’s my recommendation. Better yet, get bottled water about 30m from there at the ABC Store(on your way to the Kalia Road exit) and drink that. You’ll find a «proper» pub with food offerings elsewhere on the strip. Again, don’t just serve alcohol WITHOUT offering food. You’re begging for a lawsuit. 1STAR.

Olomana was terrific. Drinks was alright. Food is good if you like Round Table Pizza. We ended up buying food from the shops first to bring to the bar for our pupu… hamburger and reuben sliders, fries, fried noodles, edamame, garlic shrimp. It would’ve been an overall good experience if it wasn’t for the pigeons! They’re on the tables and chairs, eating at your feet, and swooping down from the roof tops. Yuck.

The live music is what lured my husband and I. Since its an outdoor bar you could sit down at the pool or enjoy the music near the front of the bar. Check out Hilton Hawaiians page for the times that they have live music: I didn’t catch the groups name but they played the type of music my husband and I enjoy. R & B, love songs, Hawaiian, etc. Sit back and relax your on vacation type of music. The main singer was pregnant. She had a beautiful voice. There was another guy who played the guitar, another guy who played drums and piano. Service It was pretty full when we got there. We lucked out when we scored a table. There were only two servers that we saw that night. It took a while to get drinks. It took a while to pay for them too. Actually we gave up and decided to charge it to our room. Drinks Pricey and small, but good. I got the Li hing mui margarita. I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone it takes a required taste. I grew up with it so I really enjoy it. I think most people would enjoy the lava flow. It’s piña colada with strawberry purée. Food The only option is pizza and I need to eat when I drink. The menu quoted 30 – 40 minutes and it took 40 minutes to get our pizza. I guess it takes so long because it comes from the Round Table Pizza which is about 5 –10 minute walk from the Tapa Bar. We ordered the King Arthur Supreme. It arrived hot. It’s topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami, linguica, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, black olives on zesty red sauce. It went well with our drinks. If the live music wasn’t available we wouldn’t have drank and ate here. It’s pricey, they only serve pizza, and service is slow because there are only 2 servers.

I dig the location of the Tapa Bar, but the service is SLOW. Granted, I was on vacation, but my two experiences were painfully slow. I enjoyed the Lava flow drink($ 11), it was like a dessert with alcohol, which on vacation is a good combo. This is a good spot to people watch and relax. The Hawaiian music lends a great background, and the open air setting is great.

This place, near the Tapa Pool at Hilton Hawaiian Village, actually has a decent happy hour(vs.Tropics, which is terrible). Beers are $ 4 and Mai Tais are $ 5 from 4:00 — 6:30. That’s a good price — if you can actually get service. We waited nearly 30 minutes in between drinks, futilely trying to get the bartender’s attention. Then two minutes after happy hour ended he said we’d missed it. It was busy. We’d asked another bartender to pitch in, but he said he couldn’t work that side of the bar. Nobody seems to go the extra mile at this resort.
