This place is a sushi secret score! If you’re looking to eat good quality sushi on a dime without all the frills, come here. They have a really small, simple establishment just off of Beretania and McCully(on McCully), with a single table for four and their own small parking lot. CASHONLY under $ 10, above $ 10 you can card. Inside you’ll find friendly young people working the cash register and ninja-fast older Japanese women putting together your hand rolls and nigiri. Their service is on point! They are so nice, fast, and extremely polite. Even better – Everything is made fresh to order, which I absolutely love, and prices can’t be beat! They also make platters in case you want to order for your cousin’s son’s first birthday or your auntie’s Christmas party. Hand rolls run you between $ 1.55 and $ 2 and change, rolls are around $ 3 – 8, and their bentos are out of this world cheap. Seriously, you can get garlic chicken, chicken katsu, or on Fridays only, chicken karaage for a measly $ 6.40. It comes with rice, a few pieces of california roll, a few pieces of cucumber sushi, and mac salad. On Fridays you can even get a good portion of chicken karaage as a side for just $ 2.55. It’s not the best chicken I’ve ever had, but it’s solid. I’ve also gotten their lunch special, which is 8 pieces of nigiri for $ 6.40 – the quality is great. I’m a huge fan of their spicy ahi don though! Not only do they give a good portion over sushi rice, but they top it with HABANEROMASAGO. What spice god invented such genius? Masago is a bright color on its own, but this habanero stuff is fire engine red. Like warning bells and alarms go off in your head just looking at it. But it’s really good, and because they use it sparingly, the heat is subtle. I can’t even. It’s so good. And all for $ 7.50. I hesitated writing a review because it’s one of those keep it secret keep it safe places, but because they’re just so wonderful, and because they’re not really a sit down place, the more the merrier!

We never would have found or selected this place without using Unilocal. The spicy ahi bowl with shrimp tempura was so good and fresh. I’m very picky with how the rice is. Some sushi places make it too mushy and some serve it too cold or its hard because it’s premade and sits in an ice box(ew). The rice here was so perfect, freshly made, not cold or hot. It was just right and had a nice taste by itself. The spicy ahi is so tasty and delicious and the portions are quite generous for the price. The girl with the glasses(wish I asked for her name) who took our order was so nice. She was patient with us as we had so many questions before ordering. When we left she said she hope to see us again. I saw some of the bento orders she served to the only one table of customers(unfortunately only one table fit in there). Looked so delicious. I definitely will return to try more items on the menu.

I was craving a spicy ahi bowl and saw this place had a lot of great reviews and raves about it’s spicy ahi don, so I decided to try here. I ordered the spicy ahi bowl, and a natto and shinko hoso maki. All this and a drink came out to about $ 13 SPICYAHIBOWL: in my opinion, this was a standard-tasting spicy ahi bowl. it tastes very similar to the kozo sushi spicy ahi bowl. the ahi pretty much melts in your mouth as it is not cubed. Personally, I added unagi sauce drizzled on top for a sweet and spicy combination that adds more flavor and keeps the spiciness down a little. I don’t agree with the hype about this spicy ahi bowl, but it is a decent place to get one NATTOANDSHINKOMAKI: also very standard and tasted like kozo sushi Overall, the service is friendly, and the food is pretty good. However, I feel it is the same level of kozo sushi in taste and price(albeit the price is a little cheaper here). The parking is a little tough, but it was manageable.

I love this place. I’ve been eating here over the numerous years when I worked in the area, and almost every time I go back to Hawaii. Never disappointed with the food. My favorite go to is the garlic chicken bento. Call ahead if you have a big party, but walking in is quick and easy too since the staff is fast, efficient, and friendly.

I have always wanted to try this place because of the many great reviews! This place is small and parking is limited but when I came there were quite a few spaces. Everything here is inexpensive and the portion is worth the price! From reading some reviews, I decided to try the garlic chicken bento and had to wait around 5 – 10 minutes since they had to fry the chicken. I did not regret ordering this at all~ The chicken was really yummy and there was furikake between the chicken and rice so it makes everything yummier! Also it comes with 2 pieces of california rolls, 3 pieces of the cucumber maki, tiny scoop of macaroni salad(which okay), and ginger. I felt very satisfied after eating this mmmmmmmmmmm :) Also since I live not too far from this place, next time I will try their donburis!

LOVETHISPLACE! Always get the garlic chicken bento since I’m pregnant and can’t have raw fish :(Food is great every time and the service is on point! My son gets the keiki garlic chicken and it’s just the right portion for him. It even comes in a cute little bear plate. We try to eat here at least once a month since I crave it all the time!

This is hands down budget sushi on island. It’s all quality. And great prices. They close early so don’t get stuck paying a lot more for less. Get there before 7 and get crazy. $ 30 is all you can eat for 2 people

Was craving some sushi after my doctors appointment and since Sushi Company was in the area, I decided to stop by. This place is a quick and cheap sushi place. It’s not the greatest sushi but it’s not also the worst. I usually get the Fire Maki which consist of tempura, spicy ahi, tobiko and a sirracha and mayo sauce(correct me if im wrong). The only downside I would say is probably the parking. Well, I would like to try more of their food on my next visit, will be back!

Love their battera! Great quality for a great price! I love their battera but they also have a wide variety of bentonite as well.

Pros + Delicious food + Consistently well-made + Inexpensive + Friendly staff + Can call in to place an order before arriving Neutral * One table with four seats to dine-in Cons — Too dang far since I moved. Conclusion Whenever I’m around the area, I’d want to stop-by Sushi Co! Their food is very delicious and reasonably priced not to mention they’re very friendly.

I’ve passed this place on my drive home for two years and finally stopped in. By far the best«fast food» sushi in the area. The prices are reasonable and the quality of food is that of a restaurant. Will be my new weekly take out spot!

I had high hopes for this place and was sadly disappointed. The spicy ahi don was one of the worst I’ve had-the rice was way too salty and the vinegar was overwhelming. The hamachi and ahi nigiri specials were also pretty bad because of the overpowering vinegar rice.

This place is great if you are just in the mood for sushi and want a place that is cheap. It’s not the best sushi around, but it isn’t bad at all. The Inari, garlic chicken bento and lunch special are good. I would recommend. The workers are very nice. This place is a takeout place because there is only one table inside.

Unilocal 100 Review Challenge 2015: 23⁄100 On my day off I was craving some sushi, after Unilocaling for an hour while my mother was getting a manicure, I stumbled upon this place which was nearby. The parking is small and awkwardly located but was basically empty when I pulled up, well after noon to order a late lunch. Inside is tiny, there was only one 4-seater table and a chair to sit on while waiting for your order. This is definitely a take-out only joint. I ordered the mini platter and a set that totaled 26 $ which seems reasonable for sushi to me(compared to kozo and all those other franchises). I liked how open countered this place was, I could watch the sushi chef make my order while I waited and be comforted that the kitchen was clean. The actual sushi itself wasn’t anything special though. It was delicious but it didn’t seem to be of any higher quality of many take-out sushi places. But, it’s locally owned and I support that so yay for freshly made sushi and locally owned businesses!

This place was a big let down. After reading a bunch of reviews on Unilocal,I was really excited to check out this place. I’ve driven by this place so many times and never had a chance to check it out. Don’t plan to dine in here. There’s only one small table in this place. Take out is a must for sure! I’m a spicy ahi lover and the reviews said that the spicy ahi donburi was a BIG hit! What in the world was everyone thinking? The spicy ahi was a ridiculously SPICY paste drenched over a bowl of sushi rice. It was so spicy that it just lost any taste. NOT a winner at all! People also recommended getting the garlic chicken. My brother ordered that so I could taste it. I say… go to somewhere like Mitsuken… so much better! Very thin slices of garlic chicken in this bento, which makes it not that flavorful. We also ordered the spider roll. It’s one of the few specialty rolls that they actually had on the menu. This one was actually not that bad. If there is a sushi that you like that you don’t see, consider asking them if they make it. My brother wanted the spicy ahi as a nigiri style sushi, but it wasn’t on the menu. They were happy to make it for him when he asked. Despite the food, the lady who took our order was very friendly. She was very patient when we were taking a long time to decide what to order. Unfortunately, I won be back to patron this place. There are MANY other sushi places that I think top their menu items. My curiosity has been satisfied.

Decided to take a quick break from work and was having mad cravings for sushi, but I need to go somewhere quick and fast. Sushi Company was close by so I decided to try it. There’s a small parking lot located in the front and on the side, which is very convenient but can be annoying when it gets full. There’s a weird narrow pathway for cars to go from the front lot to the back. Just need to be careful. The place is a nice, quaint sushi takeout spot. The menu confused me slightly as there were many signs to the left of the counter top of specials as well as the standard menu hanging from above. Even the display case had signs that were hidden behind other signs. There were many options to choose from, but just wished it was a little more organized being that it is my first time here. I ordered two hamachi negi rolls, crab cucumber roll, and salmon nigiri. Total came out to approximately $ 9. Not too bad for quick and fast sushi. The hamachi negi rolls were delicious. Nothing too special, but just right for me. The crab cucumber was a bit of a disappointment. I had assumed it was real crab, but it was imitation crab instead. This is my fault as I should’ve known better for the price they were selling it for. The salmon nigiri was average. Although the pieces were pretty tiny compared to what I usually get at other sushi takeout places. The sushi rice was delicious, but what was disappointing was how easily it fell apart. Pieces of rice would be falling out of my sushi roll as I’m eating it. Even as I ate the nigiri, the rice portion would fall apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks. Overall, it was decent. Service was great. The girl at the counter was extremely friendly and greeted me when I entered.

Hands down, the BEST sushi rice for takeout. If I’m going to be eating rice and all those calories, it better be good. Fast, friendly service only adds to this little shops charm. I’ve never had a bad experience here. We normally like to call in our order ahead of time for take out. Favorites include spicy ahi don, garlic chicken bentos, and the tempura rolls. If you order nigiri, the fish is always fresh cut in front of your eyes. Highly recommended!

Quick and easy. Freshly made to order! I’ve been passing this place for years and never bothered to try it until last week. I don’t mind this place but I already have my fave sushi spots. This place is cheap and convenient to where I work right now. The workers are super nice and friendly. They make this place worthwhile. First time I came here I ordered their«fire maki»… Spicy ahi, habanero sauce and tempura. The tempura came out fresh, crispy and warm. yum! Second time I came I ordered their spicy ahi don with tempura… meh! It was a bit on the salty side… It may have been just their batch this day. May try it again, or may choose another menu item.
