Sushi Chef

Ok, so I haven’t tasted sushi chef brand mochi before buying some mochi today. My mom said, she buys this mochi from Longs but they are sold out or something every time, so I googled and came to find their location. Drove from kapolei to kalihi and I’m surprised that the location in kuwili st. is factory or warehouse. Short Story they are very accommodating and they took my small order, I was afraid they won’t because I’m thinking this location is for wholesale order only but I’m pleased how they take their time and make my trip worth while. However, when I came home, I came to wonder why it’s soo much ($$) and the quantity are little. I tasted them and it’s good, so no complaints and then I double checked my receipt and I came to wonder if maybe they made a mistake on my order coz I ordered a total of 9 packs and only got 3packs (9 mochi pieces). I called and they are very professional and assisted me timely. I will get my additional mochi tomorrow. I can’t wait. Mahalo to sushi chef and more blessings!

bestest butter mochi!!! (bought in Kauai — Big save store)…hope to find some in the north west… anybody know a place?

We have a very interesting story to tell about sushi chef. My bf and I went to kauai before coming to honolulu. On our trip to search for good foods, I bought a package of japanese mochi from a local supermarket. I honestly didn’t expect much from this little package since the mochi from supermarket wasn’t usually good. But… this mochi surprised me by its softness texture and light sweetness taste. We finished the whole package in seconds! I was searching for the name of the maker and saw the address on the package. It came from a place named sushi chef from honolulu. I thought we could get more mochi on our journey.
When we came to honolulu, we figured this «sushi chef» place was actually a wholesale distributor. I was disappointed but we went into their store anyway. We talked to couple of ppl who worked there. They listened to our story about the mochi and surprisingly, they were willing to sell us some fresh made mochi on the spot. I was very happy and very grateful to meet nice people in hawaii.
They are not just selling mochi, but also spam musebi and bento box in hawaii local supermarkets.
