I’m so sad, Second Skin closed on Dec 31^st 2010! I didn’t even know until the day before so we made a bunch of purchases to add cool apparel to our wardrobes and to help out. We totally scored since everything had a pretty big discount. I don’t know where else we’ll be going because I really hate going to the mall and the other boutique style shops just don’t have that personal feel like Second Skin, will definitely miss Alex and the shop … *SIGH*

This is one of my FAVORITE boutique stores.
They have a great selection of women’s and men’s jeans and a really cool selection of shirts, dresses, and accessories. The employees here and the owner are super nice and aren’t pushy. The prices are decent as well. I always find something when I’m here and when I could afford it I came in every week to see what’s new and add something else to my collection.
I stopped by recently because they have a 20% off storewide sale! I found a couple of items and tried them on, love them! What’s also really great is that they have heels in the dressing room for gals so they can see what the outfit they’re trying on looks like with heels on. So cool! I’m gonna be stopping by again this weekend because the owner informed me that they will be closing at the end of this year =o (So gentleman & ladies please stop by and see what this treasure trove is all about. You might just find the perfect gift for yourself or someone else =o)

Love this place! They have cute jewelry made from old silverware, so cute! They also have a nice selection of sunglasses and I love the selections of jeans here!

First off, Hawaii is a hard place to be fashionable and unique being there aren’t many boutiques that carry limited items. I remember maybe 4 years ago looking around for a single boutique to make it my one stop shop. I looked and looked and low and behold I found it at Ward. Second skin carries very unique style, and the owner Alex only brings in limited numbers of each piece he carries. So rather than having the same shirt as everybody else, I was always sticking out with second skin gear. I love the convenience of the location and also the staff. Alex, Jenn, and Mina are awesome and time to time I just visit to chit chat, but when I visit and Alex is there, I’m sure he’s gonna show me some new stuff and update me with the trend. Aside for getting clothes for myself, I think the same applies to the womens clothing. Very unique, very sexy, and very affordable. I’ve bought many a present from them and never had my presents returned.

What a great shop! We walked in here before heading to Dave & Buster’s tonight — and I bought two adorable dresses — simple little dresses that were available in a rainbow of colors — that can be worn as simple cover ups or dressed up to wear out on the town. The guy working was EXTREMELY helpful — and I think he may have been an owner — seemed to REALLY care about the store. I already want to go back and buy the cute sunglasses behind the counter! Highly recommend.

Just bought a dress from here! I love the service here! The dresses are too cute! This is one of my favorite boutiques on the island! Good sale rack as well!

This boutique is metrolizing my macho boyfriend. He really likes the embellished and embroidered button-​ups. The men’s jeans are quite trendy – stuff European males would sport to a discothèque or while shopping on London’s Bond Street.
Too bad the clothes are too expensive for the average poverty-​stricken grad school student on a PB&J diet. The 7 Diamond shirts, which my boyfriend has been drooling over more than me when we first met (haha), are around $ 100. If you’re willing to wait for something to hit the sale rack, I hope you’re an uncommon size like XXL.
The women’s clothes are cute but overpriced. The daytime dresses I would consider purchasing were more than $ 150 – very expensive for solid color cotton with no details. If I’m going to spend that much money on a simple dress, it’s an investment buy and it has to look like one.
I like this store mainly for men’s stuff. For my boyfriend, it heightens the appeal of dressing up – what girl would complain against that?

This is my favorite boutique and i really want to keep it a secret but that wouldn’t be fair.
They have great jeans at great prices and very cute tops. I love that they carry fighting eel dresses and tops and have new things coming in almost every week.
The service there is great… I love Niki… she is so awsome with her customers… and honest… i couldn’t decide between these 2 tops and she helped me pick out the right one for my body.
She wasn’t trying to just make a sale… Thats so rare
well i love this place for carrying brands like… fighting eel, monarchy, RZST, MAVI, 7 Diamonds, silver jeans, cool hats, bags, jewlery, and Great service.

Let me say that shopping for guy stuff in Hawaii really sucks a big fat one.
It’s great to find a boutique on the island that actually carries some great clothes for guys (and gals) that are in my style. Coming from SF, I love boutique shopping (which is not as prevalent in Hawaii). There are some great clothes there that you may not find in most places on the island.
This place keeps me from internet shopping, and actually allows me to browse an actual store with stuff I like.

I hate to share my favorite shopping places only because then everyone goes there and there’s less for me to buy… but this place is too cool to keep a secret. It deserves to be shared!
Located in the Ward Warehouse, near Executive Chef, this boutique is just too cool… They carry Silver Jeans, Mavi Jeans and lots of other cool items… The owner Alexander is a really nice guy! Nikki is so sweet and will keep you informed when new stuff arrives. Great customer service, great clothes that you won’t find anywhere else on the island… Definitely check it out!
