Aw, man! My friend and I met here to hang out a few times; the dessert case was lovely, but I especially loved the salted chocolate cookie logs(can you tell that I don’t actually remember the name).

Spotted this place on the way to Wolfgang’s at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and really went looking for a particular Japanese pastry in mind. Not the place to find it, however, they did have some really cute looking desserts that we had to try a few. Being a fan of red velvet, I had to give theirs a try, and honestly, this could have been a huge factor in a 2 star rating. It was okay for a mousse type soufflé dessert, but the red velvet cake part of it at the bottom… yeah, I’ve had better. A lot better. I did enjoy the two other flavors we chose though, Berry Blue Parfait(nice and light, until you hit the cake at the bottom… but rounds out with that sweetness) and the Kona-misu, a fan favorite with the ladies. This was particularly good. The service there wasn’t so great, particularly for Hawaii and Waikiki standards. No hi, aloha, how are you… not even a smile. But, upon returning to purchase the Liliokoi Cream Cheese Icing they had in a jar… we found out that this location is NOWCLOSED. Yup. Looks like the day we went there, was their last day of business. At least at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Could have explained why the guy behind the counter wasn’t in an Aloha kind of mood. But really… they could have at least had signs up so that I would have made my Lilikoi Cream Cheese icing purchase. Now I just have to go to the one at Ward.

Very good alternative treats. Ive been tired of starbucks lately so this a good place to brighten up the mood… and to change up my routine a bit. I love their strawberry shortcake cups. Go and try it.

I think I’ve tried 4 – 5 different cakes here but none of them impressed me. The brownie sucked… it has thin, hard, and dry. The cakes weren’t bad… I guess it’s just not my kind of dessert. I think the cakes are too light, so they don’t really satisfy me. It’s supposed to be light though because of the European-Japanese influence but I’d much rather eat cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory or buy a box of Duncan Hines and make my own at home.

Honestly, the classic chocolate satura cake might be the best ‘fast’ dessert that I have had since, hmmmmm ever! If you have not ever had a Satura Cake, you seriously are missing out. That is all I really need to say…

What’s not to like about Satura Cakes? They have some of the most delicious«cup cakes», which are simply SUPERDELICIOUS mini cakes inside cups. I love their crème fraîche cheesecake, but this time I saw something better. Red Velvet Cake! It was made with decadent red velvet cake batter, walnuts with a crème fraîche/sour cream/belgian white chocolate frosting dusted with cocoa powder. YUM!!! Picked up an iced green tea latte for Eugy and it was also VERYVERY good. If you’re in the area, give this place a try. It’s really worth it if you’re in the mood for something sweet and delicious!

located near the royal grove at the royal hawaiian center this place always gets me when passing by. when around the area i stop by at island vintage coffee and get an iced lava mocha and then head down to satura cakes and get one of their miniature desserts. my favorites are the crème fraiche Cheesecake; new york, ny cheesecake and the satura shortcake. its a bit pricey but its like going to cake couture or hokulani bakeshop and getting a cupcake.
