Cruzing the mall, and stopped by. Got the pretzel bites with the chocolate dip… ooohh. yeah!!! And the pretzel dog too. Satisfied my craving! Staff was friendly and courteous. Will be back.

Although I’m new to eating pretzels(fresh ones, not the kind that come in a bag from supermarkets), I think this place is pretty great. The wait time is a little depressing when I’m starving, but oh well! My boyfellow adores their pizza pretzel here and he usually orders 2 after we come from our session at CorePower Yoga! :) I prefer the normal pretzel, butter and salt, with honey mustard. So absolutely heavenly. I also get their li hing icee, which is made well with enough li hing powder and they don’t go cheap like some other stores do. I only wish there were more seating areas around this place!

Tyler loves Pretzelmaker and when I told him I’ve never eaten here before, he was in such disbelief. We were waiting for out pizzas to finish cooking at Pizza Hut and he insisted that go and eat it because he was starving. I was intrigued by the menu and the way they make the pretzels with different flavorings. The people before us got whole pretzels and those looked amazing. We shared a regular sized cup full of the little bite sized cinnamon and sugared pretzels. I don’t know what happened, but I think it may have been love at first bite. ITWASSOGOOD. Im a sucker for sweets and that cup of pretzels was loaded with the goods. And let me tell you, the girl working stacked out cup as full as it could get; loving the hook ups. My BF and I both got a side of strawberry crème cheese for dipping and that put it over the top. Pure perfection. We ate that cup within a matter of seconds. On the other hand we were also starving(lol) but I definitely will be paying another visit to this place one day soon

My kids love it, and they always do a great job with the pretzel bites. I ask for extra salt and they glob on as much of the coarse salt that will stick on the oil. I’m sure this is good for the blood pressure, but since my kids are not on any blood thinning medication yet, I let them have at it. I love going to Kahala Mall, and Pretzelmaker is part of why I like it.

Honestly, it’s not the splurge of the pretzel dog that made me want to write a review. It’s the people who were working. Two younger guys were working and they provided the best customer service in a genuine happy friendly way. Even though it was Friday evening, they were happy. I love when people are content and happy with who and where they are. I really appreciated it. They were so nice and sweet. I’ll go back just because of the service. The hotdog was actually good too! The only suggestion I have is to add more pretzel to the pretzel dog!

This was probably the worst pretzel I have ever had. It was hard, cold and there wasn’t any cinnamon on it. I will never return to this establishment again. It is definitely not AUNTYANNE’S!

I’m telling you. It’s the smell. That is what will catch my attention first. A good smelling eatery will make me stop dead in my tracks and my conversation and ask, «What smells so good!!!» Such is the case with Pretzelmaker. Usually, I am walking around Kahala Mall, Starbucks coffee in hand, and I smell those soft pretzels baking in the oven. Then, like an on switch, my stomach growls and tells me, «you must eat pretzels, now.» Okay. Who am I to go against the wishes of my stomach? The prices are reasonable; you can normally get something there from between $ 3 — $ 5, but it can get more expensive if you get the fancier pretzels or get a drink. My husband and I like to go to Pretzelmaker for a snack with our coffees. We usually get the pretzel bites — small, soft pretzels. Keep in mind that they are bite sized(sometimes the bigger ones are two-biters). The bites come in a cup and the cup is normally stuffed with them, so I feel like I get my money’s worth. It will come with salt and butter, but you can also add flavor to it, such as parmesan cheese or cinnamon sugar. The food is good, but sometimes the service can be questionable; sometimes I feel like they lack a sense of urgency.

Great customer service all the time. The owners are awesome! They both work really hard and maybe when they are not there, the younger staff may not realize temperature control and letting things sit out for too long… but for the most part, my mini pretzel dogs are always so yummy with a side of cheese to smother in. The pizza pockets are yummy too! Packed with tons of cheese and pepperoni’s! This is a good company with nice local owners. I support them all the way! I will do business with this establishment in the near future.

Eeeek! Methinks not! Yes, indeed this is an accurate description of my visit today to the Kahala Pretzelmaker shop today. If you have three people on shift and the line is long, why not have all three working to expedite the line?! Seriously, if that person is on break(Bluetooth earpiece on, phone in hand) GETOUT of the front area! If someone orders two combos and upgrades one drink to a lemonade, please give me BOTH my beverages? And for the love of all things customer service… If someone brings back a purchase with a foreign item in it — never mind it was likely from your beat-to-heck looking butter brush(which I mentally cringed at when I saw it applying the«butter» to my order) — DONOT try to downplay it as if it is not a concerning matter! Take two seconds to show some damn empathy and apologize for the error! The guy was upset because his kid was chewing on it, for crying out loud! This is why I always hesitate to visit service places with a very young(high school to early college) staff… Okay, okay… Bitching rant on service aside, the product was lackluster for the price. The pretzel dog bites were limp, dry, and lifeless. The pretzel bites were soft, but oily and bland, only a few granules of salt were in my cup… the bottom of my cup. The side of cheese sauce definitely wanting. The lemonade was about par for what you expect from such an establishment, but perhaps them forgetting I ordered it in the first place somewhat tarnished the enjoyment. All in all, I’ll save my money for a worthwhile experience and product elsewhere.

My favorite pretzelmaker just due to the sheer politeness of the staff. There’s usually only two people that are visibly working(and working hard!) and they work timely and engage with customers well. Sure, its a franchise, so quality should be pretty much the same to whatever you’re used to, but I seem to always get the best service from this particular pretzelmaker. In the most recent visit I’ve had, there were some Japanese tourists ordering, and they had a son that was very excited and kept shouting out random orders for the guy manning the store. The mom was polite and asked about the orders amidst her son’s shouting. The clerk was super patient, and I was next in line… since he was so calm about it, I didn’t care about waiting while he explained everything. I had no idea a small sized pretzel bite container was the same amount as a pretzel and a half. Great stuff, I like this one. and they take credit cards.

Uhhh, I hate to say this, but these ARENOTPRETZELS. Yes, I was born and raised here, but these white colored, RAW pretzels are just a dissapointment. I think for starters, they would be infinitely better if they cooked these all the way thru. More than once I’ve bought a pretzel dog or pizza dog or even the little hot dogs only to bite into a RAW dough. To the owners — try a Philly or east coast style pretzel and make some improvements. Please! Even Super Pretzel you throw into the toaster makes better pretzels than you and these are frozen! Pretzels should be a golden toasty brown, crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside. Also, your staff needs to be more attentive. Half the time they don’t even want to help you. Sorry, I hate to bash businesses — especially in this economy but your product and your wait help could stand a lot of improvement. Google how to make pretzels — the Amish in Philadelphia are the gods of pretzels. I’m serious, just a little tweaking and I think you could really have something here. Your business would boom.

Sorry Pretzelmaker, but your pretzels can’t beat Auntie Anne’s. I’m not sure what kind of butter you use, but it doesn’t taste like real butter. And why doesn’t the cinnamon and sugar stick on the pretzel like Auntie Anne’s? Maybe it has everything to do with the butter. And can you make sure the pretzels are hot? Mine was cold and stale.

$ 3+ for a pretzel? fineeeeeee… they must put some secret ingredient in their dough or maybe I like the almost undercooked texture so much? I’m addicted. If only they didn’t cost like $ 4 each. :(Actually, it is probably a good thing, I’d gain 239834910 lbs.

Ever since I was much, much younger, going to the mall meant a pretzel in my tummy. Up to this point, my favorite has been Auntie Anne’s. Even though this isn’t the best pretzel you’ll ever eat, it’s the only one around. And you know they say half the game is showing up, so I eat it.

i finally pushed myself to try pretzelmaker pretzels today since i couldnt take my craving for pretzels any longer! even though i wanted a pretzel sooo bad i would never get myself to buy one of those at pretzelmaker pretzels since it looks so wierd~ so dry, white & not so tasty looking… but my favorite Wetzel’s Pretzels is not here in Hawaii yet so what can i do but to try it~ it was so sad that this is what people have been eating all this time!!! they’re really missing out! first, the stores look pretty old & dirty and the pretzels are mediocre~ like i can probably bake it the same quality at home~ plus the whole pretzel is dripping with butter! yuck. i will just wait for premium pretzels to come to Ala Moana Center~ pls hurry up! im even craving their REAL lemondades too…

If you love fluffy, doughy ropes twisted into a pretzel shape, then you’re like me. I love pretzels. I don’t care if they contain nothing of nutritional value and are full of nothing besides empty calories that will most likely go straight to my waistline. That is how much I love pretzels. But not any pretzel will do for me. Oh no no no. I’ve tried the stuff at sports stadiums, convenience stores and even Auntie Anne’s Pretzels but none of them can ever dream of coming close to my beloved Pretzelmaker. The name seriously says it all. While Auntie Anne has a shop that sells pretzels, Pretzelmaker is… well…known as the Maker of Pretzels. End of story. I always come to the one in Kahala Mall every single time I come back to Hawaii and get the same thing. The Pizza Stuffed Pretzel, a parmesan cheese pretzel and a jalapeño cheese dip. Omg. Soft, doughy, cheesy goodness that takes me back to the days when I still wasn’t able to vote but had a set of brand spanking new wheels that made me feel like I owned the world. Good memories tied with good comfort food. Life rarely gets much better.
