There are a couple that I really like… it is just that it is not available everyday so I don’t go… how many times I have gone there and the one I want is on a different day or they are out of stock… frustrating so I don’t even bother to save myself the irritation… it is not convenient to where I live or work… so if I am in the area for some reason I would go if I knew they had what I wanted… oh well… they can’t sell what they don’t have in inventory… and it is on the pricier side and yes it is good…

Great Harvest Bread Co. opens early at 6:30 in the morning. Great stop for a quick breakfast. Don’t forget to check out the board outside for the daily bread specials. The smell of baking breads hits your nostrils the moment you step into the store. They offer a free sample to further entice you into buying a little bit of everything. Not in the mood for bread? They have other sweet treats like granola, jams/jellies, cookies, brownies, scones and muffins along with lunch options like sandwiches(which are a bit pricey for my taste) and savory breads. If you’re looking for a unique gift, gift baskets and gift cards are also available.

Read the tips for/to the staff on the chalkboard in the back and you’ll understand. The positive vibe equals the great(and healthy!) bread, sandwiches and cookies.

Absolute gem. Fresh-baked bread samples offered up as you walk in. How can cinnamon bread be THAT soft and flavorful?! Strawberry cheesecake scones… my God. Friendly service and sensational baked goods make this an outright exceptional bakery. Don’t pass it up!

Stopped in here after visiting the pet store next door and I have to say we stumbled into a treasure. The free sample I was offered is hands down some of the best bread I have ever tasted. Definitely going to go back when we are in the area.

The pesto sandwich could easily be made at home. The honey wheat bread isn’t that good. It comes with a thin layer of pesto and iceberg lettuce and underripe tomatoes. I wouldn’t order this again. The cinnamon chip bread was good though.

I love this bakery. My kids love everything from this bakery. The location of this bakery is a bit weird. You may have a hard time finding it, but it definitely worth the trip. Our favorite is the cinnamon chip loaf. It is so good and the price is so reasonable. The staff there are always so nice. They greet you and offer a slice of bread as soon as you walk in. My kids really look forward to this free slice. It is nice that it stays open until the evening though the popular items sell out earlier some times. This bakery is a hidden gem!

So my car broke down right out front and while waiting for the repair guy the smells of this place wafted towards me. Gotta say, I’m super happy I went in! Upon arrival they offered me fresh bread, peanut butter chocolate is a must!!! I ordered the Kahala chicken which is apparently super popular for a reason because that damned thing was beautiful! I also got the PBJ and the strawberry cream cheese scone and that was beautiful as well!!! This place was totally worth it!!!

The bread here is delicious! I was introduced to the pizza bread by my sister several years ago and loved it! So of course when I got home to LV I had to search for a store nearby. There weren’t many nearby, I had to drive all the way to Henderson only to find that they didn’t offer the pizza bread! I guess that’s why I don’t go to GHBC in Nevada as much. I like the cheddar garlic, pumpkin chocolate bread, rosemary just to name a few. Today I got a fresh out of the oven pizza bread! Omg, amazing all of the gooey stretchy cheese, bits of pepperoni embedded in the soft flavorful pizza smelling bread! I guess this will be my treat whenever I visit and hope to remember the day they make it so I can go in the morning and get it fresh outta the oven! Yum!

Lots of bread options, too small a menu. Vegetarian sandwich had no creativity. From my groups feedback, It looks the only thing worth trying meal wise is the Chicken sandwich. Definitely visit if you love bread! Very tight location and parking. No place to sit and eat for a decent size group.

Absolutely LOAf this place!(Get it?). Bad jokes aside… The baked goods are amazing. The sandwiches hit the spot every time, and I absolutely have to have their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies each time I drive nearby. They do daily samples of various bread and spreads. Great customer service as well.

«STOP. TURNRIGHT. TURNRIGHT. STOP, TURNRIGHT!» Stop? Turn right? Who gives a shit, just stop for the bread! No, but seriously, I yelled at my boyfriend to stop and turn right all at once just because«I saw that place on Unilocal and I want to look.» Turning in right from the road, there was a number of parking spots available. We threw our new whip in park and sped walked up to the door. The front door offers a monthly menu, daily menu, and a strong scent of carbs coming through. I’m leaving for vacation this week so I thought to myself, «Do I need a loaf of bread?» Probably not but I had to go inside and double check anyways. Upon entering, we were immediately offered sample slices of bread of our choice. I chose the Kauai crunch and my boyfriend chose the cinnamon bread. In addition there were 3 butters to sample: whipped, cinnamon, and garlic. Garlic butter on Kauai crunch = delicious. Cinnamon bread plain = yum, I can see this bread working awesome for French Toast. I didn’t end up taking a loaf of bread home because I’m trying out this thing called«Need vs Want thinking» and in the moment I didn’t NEED the bread(remember that vacation I mentioned?). I wanted it but I ended up with an oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookie instead. This was to to reward myself for not buying any loafs. I’ll be back after my vacation for both the Kauai Crunch and those cookies… those large, noggin sized, chewy cookies.

Good squall bread, and fresh veggies(lettuce, tomato, red onions) but the sandwiches are like Subway, processed roast beef, cheese, and sauce. OK in a pinch.

The amazing scent just lingers in the air drawing any customer to this small family friendly bread shop. It’s kind of like those cartoons when the scent from grandmas oven travels out the window and those around just float towards her house to take part of the goodies. Although we don’t visit this place that often, when we do, I can guarantee the bread is perfect and products are exactly what we expected. Guaranteed quality! Fresh hot bread! Can’t beat it! They have all types from cinnamon chip to hot cross buns, biscotti, cake mix, granola, etc! I love that when you walk in they ask if you want a sample, but the sample is not an ordinary sample, it’s a whole slice of bread! Waahooo! After buying 5 loaves today– for family, my tummy is happy, kids are happy with samples and I’m on my way! The bread cost a bit more than your regular supermarket bread but that’s to be expected since for one, it’s hot and fresh and two, there’s all different and unique types! Great quality, great service– every time!

GHBC is my newest obsession. At one point I was getting a sandwich here at least once a week. It’s that darn good! I believe there are two kinds of eateries… there are those that try to make ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Unfortunately most of these places end up being mediocre to terrible(diners are the exception) because they’re just trying to do too much and end up not doing anything particularly well. Then there are places that do just a few dishes but make them extraordinarily well. Great Harvest falls into the second group. They have only 5 or 6 types of sandwiches. Each is amazing in it’s own special way. And each one is made with such love and care that you half expect to see a note in the bag from mom reminding you of how much she loves you. First of all, each visit starts with a sample of FRESH bread. And, holy crap, its the best bread you’ve ever had and you can make a mini-meal off of the sample they give you. I’m in love with the cinnamon bread but just about everything is divine. Pair this were a few different types of butters(cinnamon, garlic, sweet butter) and you’ve got some food from the gods right there! My favorite sandwich is the kickin’ chipotle — freshly cut roast beef, with fresh veggies, on fresh bread. The sauce they use has enough kick to make it extra yummy but not so much to mask the meaty/bready awesomeness of the sandwich. If that doesn’t satisfy your hunger they also have freshly made cookies and lemon bars that are also out of this world.

Their bread is so good! Light, fluffy and soft. Try the cinnamon bread with cinnamon butter! $ 4 – 8 a loaf. Butter spreads about $ 4 The cookies are good but a little too sweet for me. Most pastries were $ 2 – 5. Friendly, fast customer service.

Though the parking lot is small and busy, it’s worth braving the hassle to experience the warm, fresh-baked breads from Great Harvest. I remember specifically making a trip out here to get my favorite loaves so I could make sandwiches for the week. The staff is always warm and friendly, and more often than not, there are samples of some of the different breads/scones featured for the day. Great Harvest features a monthly bread schedule, and certain loaves and pastries are featured on specific days. Be sure to check the online menu if you’re looking for something in particular. Also, they offer to cut the bread for you if you buy a loaf … but I always opted to cut the loaf myself, since I prefer bigger slices and you get thin slices if the bread comes pre-cut. Without further ado, here’s my recs for you if you’re visiting Great Harvest: «Chocolate Peanut Butter Bread»: This is, hands down, my favorite bread from Great Harvest. I don’t currently see it on the December menu, but I remember that this loaf used to be available on Saturdays(and at least one other day of the week). It features generous morsels of chocolate chips throughout the bread. While I can’t remember if the bread itself sported a light peanut butter flavor or if there were peanut butter chips within the bread as well, one thing’s certain — this was a GREAT peanut butter-chocolate combo and you got the best of both worlds in every bite! I remember making a Nutella sandwich with this bread once and it was seriously a slice of heaven. I would specifically come to Great Harvest on days when this bread was available! «Cinnamon Chip»: I love how this light bread contains lots and lots of cinnamon chips. The bread itself is moist and fluffy, and the cinnamon chips provide a subtle sweetness. You get a taste of these morsels in every bite. If I want a sweeter bread – and my favorite«Chocolate Peanut Butter» loaf isn’t being featured for the day – this is my go-to. «Cheddar Garlic»: When it comes to savory breads, I think this«Cheddar Garlic» is my favorite because there’s lots of cheddar cheese coated throughout the entire loaf. I remember that, with every slice of the bread that I cut, each piece had big or small chunks of cheddar. The savory garlic taste is present as well, and this sandwich is absolutely amazing when you use it to make grilled cheese(you get the ultimate cheesy sandwich when using this bread, because the Cheddar already included in the loaf melts down as well!). «Squall»: This is the basic no-fuss, no-frills bread I get when I want a staple for making sandwiches. I’ve always liked the darker squall bread, and I usually cut the slices thick to make thicker sandwiches. The bread is soft and chewy and it’s consistently made well. «Cinnamon Chip Cream Cheese Scone»: From time to time, I opt for the bakery’s pastries and sweets, and this delightful scone was pretty similar to the«Cinnamon Chip» loaf. The scone was flaky and light and sported a generous serving of cinnamon chips as well. The cream cheese wasn’t heavy or overpowering as well, and I would get this sweet pick-me-up again. «Chocolate Chip Cookie»: This is one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies because it’s large in size – you definitely get what you pay for – and the cookie itself is moist, soft and chewy. Though the cookie is larger and thinner – sort of like a pancake – it’s not hard and crispy, which I definitely appreciated! It’s always nice to get one of these when they’re warm, fresh from the oven. «Spinach Parmesan»: I have yet to try this bread, but because I love spinach and Parmesan – salad, pizza, you name it – I’m sure I’ll like this savory bread! I bet it’s also great for grilled cheese sandwich-making! The name itself reminds me of my favorite«White Pizza»(made with spinach, Parmesan and white sauce) at CPK. «Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Scone»: This is another scone that I have yet to try, but I’m hoping that it’s filled with lots and lots of chocolate chips. Since I enjoyed the«Cinnamon Chip Cream Cheese Scone,» I’m positive that I’ll like this chocolaty version as well.
