I have been quite a few times. Make sure to call ahead if you have a party of more than 4. It gets slammed. The specialty drinks are great. My favorite is The Fifth Amendment

Damn this place has got some of the best food. Came here with my cousin and ordered 4 different things. Got the scotch egg, fried pickles, double smoked bacon and the stout burger.(Don’t judge us =p) To be honest all the food was delicious. I’m not a big fan of fried pickles but I would have it from this place. Staff is friendly and the scene is casual. I would definitely come back to eat here for sure =)

Beer choices this time were some what disappointing. Not a good balance of variety. Food menu was not up to par this visit. Beers are pricey 7 – 9

Love this place! We discovered this bar a few years ago and were quickly impressed with the passion that the owner and his staff have for craft cocktails and bacon. Loved the bacon with corn relish so much it is a perfect blend of smokey bacon with sweet Hawaiian corn. It is a must-to order every time we come! The whiskey drinks are fabulous As I am now partial to rye whiskey with the smokiness of mezcal.

We are huge fans of the excellent gastropub fare at Pint + Jigger. A featured component of many of the items on the menu is bacon and it is worth a visit just to see what they do with it. The Brandy and Bacon Strawberries is a must try. As with any quality gastropub, P+J does not disappoint in the pub department with a huge selection of beer, whiskey, rye, scotch and very tasty hand crafted cocktails. The large ice cubes and ice balls are a nice touch. P+J is not a quiet establishment but between the lighting, décor and table set up it provided a relaxing environment. The food, drinks and overall experience were no doubt on point. Service was friendly and efficient with the one exception being the time it took for drink orders to be taken and served to us. P+J serves serious beverages and as such, it should be able to do better at getting them to its customers.

You had me at FRIEDPICKLES.. .. FRIEDPICKLES!!! Now the rest of the menu is nothing to sneeze at either. .. . Burgers, sliders, fries, fish n chips, and whiskey soaked ‘shrooms.. .. You also have a huge selection of brews and mixed concoctions to wash down the delicious foods. Pssst — try the Threesome, you won’t be sorry! The atmosphere is dark, a little bit noisy and always bustling. My only complaint is sitting at the«picnic» style tables is a killer on the low back. Other than that, this place is awesome!

Here to meet my friends from CA! Out of all places to meet, we meet in Hawaii. Fine by me! The interior and décor is nice, modern, and trendy. I think we got there during peak hours, so we weren’t seated for a while — around 930pm — day after xmas. It’s quite spacious and lots of seats, but like I said I went there during prime time. They have a small small parking lot, so whatever spot you see open on the street, take it! We got lucky. I had a Kahlua and cream drink, was alright. Wasn’t that strong. We ordered a few apps, but that was it. Nothing to special to rave about. It was just a good setting for us to get together. I think by the end of the night we had about 12 people, which they have communal tables for that.

I give them 2⁄5 stars because their bar service is good, otherwise it would have been 0. We showed up around 8, it’s somewhat busy, we ordered our drinks and played a couple games of shuffle board and tables open up. We asked whether or not we could take them, they said no we’re still seating people. 45 minutes later we finished our drinks, payed our tab and said fuck this place, we’re going to Chodang. I’m typing this as we’re at Chodang, got seated and served in the time it took me to write this review(about 9 minutes, we just got our food btw). Tl:dr — Bartenders are nice, but Pint+Jigger isn’t worth waiting 45+ minutes.

Solid little spot in the proximity of downtown Honolulu but definitely hidden away from all the hustle and bustle. Beer list is decent if not a bit underwhelming. The P&J Quickie burger is really good. More than anything this is just a nice respite from the chaos if you feel like watching a game and relaxing for a spell.

Alright I’m going to start off with the good. The flavor of the burger on the brunch menu(there was only one) was pretty good. We didn’t taste the bacon that much and the burger was so round that all the toppings were sliding off. The fries were really good and the fried pickles were too. Plenty of parking in front. The reason for the low stars is because about an hour or two after eating it I had severe gas and had to go to the bathroom IMMEDIATELY!!! Let’s just say It was not a peasant time.

1. Location Pint + Jigger is located on S. King st. There are few parking stalls in the front. Otherwise, there is a small parking lot in the back(entrance on Young St.) or street parking. 2. Interior As soon as you enter, there are couple picnic tables. When you walk into the back there is a decent size bar with lots of sitting room. Don’t be fooled by the ample room it gets filled pretty fast. In the back area, there are lots of TVs so I think it’s a good bar to go to if you’re a sports fan. 3. Service I came on a thursday night and service was pretty good. As soon as I got seated, I got served water. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order at the time and our waitress was patient and attentive enough to check back on us. Throughout the night, the service was really well despite it getting packed. 4. Food and Drinks This is one of the few bars i’ve been to where the alcohol menu is larger than the food menu. But there is a good reason for this because their drinks are outstanding! A little bit on the pricier side but you can definitely taste the quality. And they’re really generous too. My cocktail was literally filled to the rim. Mixed Emotions — If you LOVE sweet drinks, this is the drink to order. It’s one of P+J sweetest cocktails. The PINT + JIGGER Stout Burger — They use a different bun than other burger places. It’s more softer and fluffier. Be warned the patty is like an inch thick and it was difficult for me to get all the flavors in one bite. But it was pretty good. P+J Fries — These fries taste just like the Lay’s BBQ potato chips. The fries were crispy and had a nice touch of BBQ seasoning 5. Overall This might be one of my favorite bars to go to in town. They have really really great cocktails(a little on the pricier end) but you can definitely taste the difference. Try to come at an off time because I hear this place can get pretty busy during peak hours.

I bookmarked this spot, and it was a hit! The cocktail to try: TALVENTI(cocktail on tap) rye whiskey, campari, cold-brew coffee and house vanilla cream. I can’t do rye whiskey, and this was SOGREAT. We came with a small group and sat at a long table in the front. We shared all our plates: WHISKEYFLAMBÉEDMUSHROOMS on crostinis. Even the most timid mushroom fan would fine these absolutely amazing. It was my best bite. APPLEWOODSMOKEDDOUBLE-CUTBACON again, I don’t eat bacon, but I went in for seconds. And the corn salsa was super bright and fresh. HOUSEMARKETSALAD the oranges were more sweet and light than tangy which we really enjoyed. PANROASTEDBRUSSELSSPROUTS: delicious. Nuff said. BLACK&BLEUSLIDERS comes with 3, tastes just as you would want when you hear ‘black & blue sliders’ BEER-BATTEREDFRESHFISHANDFRIES again, just as you you’d expect. Good fries. CHOCOLATESTOUTCAKE yummy with the candied bacon and whiskey glaze. GELATO the whiskey Gelato was sooo much yes. The other was I believe salted caramel, again yes. They are so creative in here, and it’s dark and cozy. They knock the flavors out of the park with both food and drink. Gotta do it.

My friends and I went to Pint & Jigger for my birthday last year. With the amount of alcohol I consumed(as it was my 21st birthday) I probably rightfully should have been sleeping under the table but I wasn’t…drinks were a bit watered down, so that’s the reason I’m taking a star off what would have been a four-star review. They do, however, make up for it with their food. This review is late by a year, but hopefully they still have the bleu cheese sliders… so good. I tried the scotch egg because most of the reviews recommended it, but it was just an egg to me. Bleu cheese sliders are a must-try, as well as the bacon and strawberries! I’m not much of a bacon fan(blasphemy right?) but everything about that dish was amazing. Since it was my birthday, we had a large party for 17 and the service was still phenomenal despite how busy they were. All of our orders were right and came out quickly and the waitresses we had were really friendly. Parking is tight so get there early or be ready to look for street parking.

Mesquite Smoked Manhattans, bone marrow, black & blue sliders, BLT(with fried green tomatoes) plus the sour beers on tap… To die for! The service was great as well! Thanks Quinn! Only a 10−15min walk from the Hilton and it’s DEFINITELY worth it!

Went there specifically to try the Bone Marrow. We sat at the bar. My brother had the salad. The salad came within 10 min. After 30 min I asked the bartender about my Bone Marrow order. Instead of checking with the kitchen, he looked in the computer and said it had been ordered. After 60 min I asked for the check and the other bartender asked«did you get your Bone Marrow ?» I bartender for 15 yrs and understand their plight but we sat right next to the drink well visible to them for the entire time. Whether the kitchen lost the ticket after the salad was delivered, one of the two bartenders should have gone back in the kitchen after my 1st inquiry. Very disappointed. Especially since they had food runners bringing food to the bar. All they had to do was ask one of the food runners to check on my order. They do make good drinks but common sense and service is lacking. We ended up at Sushi Sasabune and had a great meal at the bar. Review forth coming.

I’ve been to P&J a few times in the past for drinks and pupus and always had a good time(even though my old ears found the place to be too loud) but this review is for their new brunch service. Went there around 11am on a Sat morning and the place was about half full, mostly football fans watching the college games. GF and I took a look at the brunch menu and ordered the following: Bloody Mary — yummy! I love the spice and the kick and for $ 10, well worth the price. Monte Cristo — Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Ham and turkey sandwich deep fried with French toast bread and topped with powdered sugar. It’s crack yo. Chimchanga — I should’ve known better than to order this cuz I’m not really a fan of breakfast burritos but still, I found it tasty for what it was. Again, nice kick to the flavahs. Side of fries — Perfectly cooked. Good as McDs. Prices are reasonable for breakfast nowadays. Go check em out. I know I going back for more. Oh, and I did notice that they’ve since installed some acoustical panels in the picnic table area to absorb sound. Awesome.

P&J is my favorite bar on the island. No questions asked. The food has been pretty hit or miss for me. So I had to check out the new brunch for myself… There were three of us and we ordered three items and they all came out at different times. The monte cristo came out first. My friend wouldn’t eat it until our food came out.. . We waited. Next the frittata. We waited some more. Side of fries. Hot and delicious. And lastly my entrée, the fried green tomato sandwich, which is also on their bar and happy hour menu. I topped it with bacon and avo for extra charge. The sandwich was delicious but I couldn’t taste any tomato flavor. Big wave farms at the farmers market put these to shame. The fries on my plate were cold, and gross. Our drinks were on point. The fancy Bloody Mary with the claw for extra charge. Beers. Mimosas. The drinks here never disappoint. In short, I know the kitchen staff is still trying to iron out the kinks of having a new menu. But if you compare this brunch to Tucker and Bevy or Scratch, the brunch P&J is serving is mediocre at best. Our waiter said they’re transforming the hardware store next door into a speakeasy. Amazing!

I went to Pint + Jigger during my trek for some of the best fish and chips on the island. I heard pretty good reviews of this place via Unilocal and decided it was worth a shot. A friend of mine had been here before and said he liked the food, so we met there recently for an early dinner. I was happy to see that there’s a small parking lot right outside of the eatery, but parking is pretty limited. However, if you’re there during the weekday at 4:30 p.m. when they open, you’ll have no problem getting a spot. We were the first customers at P+J that Wednesday, so we were seated quickly and the food came quickly. The inside is rather dark – not conducive to taking food photos – and it gets loud quickly, thanks to the music and other tables in close proximity. My friend and I had an easier time conversing outdoors. Regardless, I was indeed pleased with the fish and chips(my friend and I ended up ordering the same thing) and I would return. Though I went to P+J for the first time for dinner, they serve brunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I love brunch food and can’t wait to check out the menu sometime. Here’s what we got, as well as what I want to try next time: «Beer-Battered Fresh Fish and Fries»: During the time of my visit, the featured catch was opah. This fish and chips is served with house coleslaw and P+J tartar sauce. The entrée consisted of three pieces of fish, skinny fries and the slaw. I’m usually not a fan of skinny fries because I prefer thicker, steak fries, but these fries met my standards because they were sufficiently seasoned. I don’t like ketchup, so I know fries are well seasoned if I don’t need to add salt to them. The opah did taste fresh and it was sufficiently battered — golden and crispy, flaky but not overly crunchy. However, the pieces were pretty tiny. I had a lot more fries leftover than fish, so if there were four pieces, I think the meal would have been perfectly balanced. I don’t usually eat coleslaw and I tried a little of this one, but I ended up leaving the majority of it on my plate. The tartar sauce was really good — it was creamy and tasty; not too many chunks(of relish, etc.) inside of it, which I prefer, since I spread some of it on my fish and use the rest for dipping my fish and fries. Needless to say, though, I would order the fish and chips from here again. I just wish one more piece came with the meal. My friend got the exact same entrée and enjoyed it as well. He said he usually gets«The Pint + Jigger Stout Burger,» but wanted to change up his dinner selection. «The Pint + Jigger Stout Burger»: This burger sounded scrumptious, and I can’t wait to try it next time. It comes with beer cheese, garlic aioli, lettuce, pickle and French fries. I would probably just get it sans the pickle, but everything else sounds good. I especially can’t wait to taste that beer cheese and garlic aioli. «Scotch Egg»: This menu item fascinated me, and our server recommended it as an appetizer … but since I knew I was already ordering something fried for dinner, I held back and resolved to try this next time. It features a soft-boiled egg in pork rillettes, breaded and deep fried in that savory batter. Yum! I saw numerous pictures of this unique dish on Unilocal and I anticipate trying it on my next visit. «Monte Cristo»: I don’t often see Monte Cristos on restaurant menus, so when I do, I usually get it. They’re one of my favorite types of sandwiches. This version includes Texas toast, black forest ham, roasted turkey and gruyère cheese that’s served in French toast batter and served with a side of red currant. I usually am perfectly happy without dipping my Monte Cristo in anything, but I’m kind of intrigued by that red currant. However, I’m sure I would enjoy this sandwich as a standalone — just the fact that it contains gruyère is enough to excite me. «Chicken ‘n Waffle Sammie»: Chicken and waffles are one of my favorite combos of all time, so to say that I’m excited to try this sandwich one day is an understatement. It features waffle-battered chicken tenders tossed in buffalo syrup that’s topped with shredded lettuce on a brioche bun and it’s served with fries. This sounds amazing because it presents a twist on chicken and waffles that I haven’t experienced before. Plus, I really like buffalo sauce and look forward to trying this version … as long as it’s not too spicy. «The P+J Breakfast Sammie»: Anytime there’s waffle fries on the menu is a win for me. This breakfast sandwich entails a fresh croissant with applewood smoked bacon, black forest ham, a fried egg, house-made beer cheese, garlic aioli and waffle fries. It’s rare that I don’t need any alterations to be made to a sandwich, but this sando would be one of those rare cases. I can’t wait to see what those waffle fries taste like(I really like the ones from Chick Fil A), and the ingredients in the sandwich itself guarantees a savory meal.

So, tried to go to Home Bar this past Friday at Pau Hana time and of course it was packed and the rest of the tables were reserved, the wait was 45min to an hour, which I was expecting and the Hubs didn’t want to believe me that they would be packed. It was a «told you so moment». Ok, after that fiasco… where to go??? I suggested Pint & Jigger, since we were in the area and Hubs hadn’t tried this place. I for one was happy that we ended up here. I had only been here once before a couple of years ago and did enjoy the food and drink. Food: The braised short rib. It was fork tender and flavorful and along with the buttery polenta soooo good. We also got the Whiskey flambeed Mushrooms… sorry didn’t taste a hint of whiskey in the dish but nonetheless my simple palate did enjoy the ‘shrooms with the garlic parmesan creams cheese spread. The basket of fries, came out nice and crispy as it should. On to dessert, the choclate stout cake was more like a glorified bread pudding than cake. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but when you say cake(and mind you I’ve had many a cake), I expect cake. Anyways, the combo with the chocolate, stout, bacon, and whiskey came together nicely. Libation: They have a nice selection of beers on tap as well as bottle. Hubs got one of the«Lucky 21» on tap — Ballast Point Sculpin — he really liked the flavors and that it was refreshing. I took a sip, and since I’m not a fan of IPA, it was toooo hoppy for me. I chose to try their cocktails, I got the moscow mule, which they actually had crused ginger in it. LOVE. A little disappointed that it didn’t come in the copper vessel, but hey, it’s the alcohol that counts, right?! The second drink, I tried was the Ricochet, it was borderline on cough syrup tasting, but the back end was a nice smoky, peat taste. Service: Our server was very knowledgable about the drinks and was attentive as well. They serve brunch Friday-Sunday, so wanna come back and check that out.

I have been hanging out here a lot recently… and for good reason… this place gets me EXCITED!!! I am a fan of gastropubs, the mix of tasty cocktails and great grindz always makes me happy… and Pint and Jigger is a perfect example! This is not a huge place, but more medium sized. There are larger tables up front, and a bar with smaller tables in back. Parking is always an adventure here(just get here early). There is a small shared parking area up front and covered parking in the rear. I am a huge fan of whiskey, and PnJ delivers in spades!!! Not only do they have fantastic cocktails and a wide selection of liquor, but their selection of bourbon and rye… makes me high!!! Dave(the Man) always is quick to recommend drinks based on what you like. He deftly crafts cocktails behind the bar, and makes you smile when you taste his concoction. He also is a fan of whiskey as well, and is happy to help you choose the right glass of bliss. The service here has always been pretty good. The servers are pretty knowledgeable and helpful when selecting the food… usually it is pretty easy to grab a server as well… as they are running around all night. The food is really good here… and I have a few favorites… There is a bacon appetizer with corn salsa… it’s pretty simple, but gets those taste buds going. There is also whiskey mushrooms on toast with a cheese spread(non alcohol fans dont worry… the alcohol is cooked out)…it’s really tasty… There is a blt that is amazing… it’s made with fried green tomatoes… delicious combination of textures and flavors… And burger fans… you wont be disappointed… just don’t forget to add bacon and fried onions to your Stout Burger… oh yeah… avocado too. For dessert you will want to order the brandy and bacon strawberries… sounds adventurous, but it is really heaven… it’s small so don’t share it with friends… I will be back here soon… in fact… I’m kind of hungry!
