I’m not sure, but I think this place and I Love Yogurt next door is NOLONGEROPEN! I was headed to Paradise Blends yesterday to try their coffee bubble tea… but before I crossed the street, I noticed that their windows were covered in brown paper. I was too lazy to actually try the doors, but it definitely looks closed. Oh well… I thought they were a little skimpy on the boba anyway. I’m excited for whatever new place is going to take over, though! EDIT!!!: Both places are just closed for renovations! Someone wrote that on the paper covering their doors: P oopsies, hehe EDITTOTHEEDIT!!!: both places are closed… for good. argh, sorry for any false hopes.

This is your typical milk tea and bubble drink store with tons and tons of flavors to try it. I’ve tried the acai bowl before and it does it no justice. Maybe I’ll try the acai bowl again later and hopefully it will taste better but right now I’ll be sticking to the milk tea. Basically, the milk tea is what brought me back to this store again and again. It’s one of those very traditional milk tea flavors. Hope the acai bowl changes and I will definitely be back for more milk tea.

My boyfriend and I went back to Paradise Blends this afternoon. Maybe because it’s summer, but the establishment was empty except for one other customer. In fact, there was no one manning the cash register at all… We waited a few minutes before a lady came running from the connected yogurt store to take our order. I feel really bad giving Paradise Blends a 2-star review just because the lady who took our order was very nice. Anyway, onto the drink. My boyfriend ended up ordering a plain black tea with regular boba. The drink we were given was about ½ ice with sweet black tea. It was a little on the sweet side, but tolerable. The boba, on the other hand, tasted old. It had a nice honey taste, but was hard in the middle and not even chewy anymore. We were very disappointed. I’m really sad to see this place go downhill, but probably will not be returning in the near future.

This place was a pleasant surprise! While they had the typical coffees, milk teas, and bubble teas, they had a large acai bowl, side orders of food, and pastries. Add all that to their late hours and convenient location, I am now a regular. The only slight issue I have is that they only have one worker and this service can be slow during peak times. Otherwise, I love it.

I came with a friend and I ordered a blended«plain»(you need to specify this) milk tea and my friend ordered hers iced(btw they charge more for blending it). I liked the tapioca, it was sweet and chewy but I could barely taste the tea in mine due to the high ice content. My friend didn’t say anything so maybe the iced one is better. I have to admit that the customer service I received was below my expectations. The older man who served us rolled his eyes when my friend asked questions about the menu and continued his condescending rant when he was clarifying our order. I understand people have rough days and I also understand the importance of clarifying a customer’s order(I worked in a restaurant for years), but taking your frustrations out on paying customers is extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. Rawr. That’s all I’m gonna say. Phew, but anyway the young guy working seemed nice enough.

Been here a few times this school year, but from now on I think I’ll be taking my «close-to-school-bubble-tea» runs somewhere else as although the place itself has a nice interior, the drinks I’ve had ae sub-par to other places I’ve tried and often the wait going over 15 minutes for a drink that is practically pre-made. I always get milk tea bubble tea, to get a feel for the place and sometimes the tapioca at this place can be great! Tonight’s experience was anything but that — milk tea was griddy(powdered stuff, I’m assuming), and the tapioca pearls itself were unevenly cooked — some chewy, some hard as rocks. I feel like the consistency of the tapioca says it all, and unfortunately, I’m quite displeased. If I return, I’ll be trying out something that takes less than 10 minutes to make — maybe bottled water? We’ll see.

New place I’m assuming? Saw the bubble tea sign and decided to go in. My boyfriend and brother got the boba sodas, blue coral and green apple. I don’t know what blue coral is supposed to be, but it was pretty good. Came with jellies and fruits. The green apple was too sour for me but my brother loved it. I went simple and got a frozen Thai tea with original tapioca. It was alright, probably shouldn’t have gotten it frozen. I really liked the tapioca for some reason, though. Really soft and sweet! There were lots of different selections on the menu(written on big classroom paper! Guess they’re really new) so I wouldn’t mind coming back to try more. The owner was really proud of his«inventions»(the flavors) and was very friendly, which I thought was nice, so I’m definitely willing to be back to try more. (Oops, posted a few months later!)

I’m a bubble tea fan so I decided to check it out. I think a good test is to try the traditional milk tea before all those other non traditional flavors. The first thing that I noticed was that their tapioca here is very sweet, which reminds me of some of the tapioca that I had in Taiwan. I know they have a bunch of other stuff here so I may adjust the rating later. I think the bubble tea is a little overpriced because it was over $ 4.00. You can easily find lower prices for the same size in Chinatown or Taste Tea. Customer service could have been better. For a small shop like that, I expect to be greeted when I walk in or when I’m hanging out at the counter.

I love acai bowls and have tried a lot of different ones and their acai bowl wasn’t up to my expectations. But it was only about $ 5 or $ 6. I usually pay $ 10 at my fave places. So it’s not really something to complain about. You get a decent amount and the deluxe comes with granola, strawberries and bananas. However, I did like their boba sodas. Yes I said boba sodas! I hate drinking boba drinks cause it just freaks me out and i’m kinda picky with the flavors. So when I saw this I was excited! They have a bunch of flavors to choose from that come with a complimentary jelly, which they also have a variety of. I tried the green apple with green apple jelly. Very refreshing! The drink was $ 3.88.So this place is definitely good on the wallet and a fairly decent place to just get a snack and drink.
