Got the Taco Sat special(taco and smoothie for $ 12). «The Cure» was nothing special(good, but not great). Lot of ice. The kale avocado taco was mostly kale in a taco shell. A little bland. Needs more black beans or something. Not skimpy on the avocado, though. Maybe it would taste better with guacamole or hot sauce. Person(female with nice tat on right arm) behind the counter was very helpful and friendly.

I was definitely feelin’ my healthy self after a morning hike at Koko Head, so I decided to swing by Leahi Health for lunch on my way home(since it’s so close to the freeway, making it really convenient!) The address is on Waialae, but the actual front of the counter is on 9th, so be sure to turn into that corner. There are several vegan, fresh, and healthy tacos and salads on the menu, as well as smoothies. I went with the Kale Tacos(with salsa) and Green Machine smoothie. The Kale Tacos were flavorful and tasted good. The portion was actually pretty big. I usually have a huge appetite, and they were a little too much for me when I paired it with a smoothie. The smoothie wasn’t that flavorful, but it was very smooth and sweet– I really liked it. Seating is outdoor only, and I enjoyed sitting out under a shady spot with my nutrient-packed meal. This place is pretty good, and I do recommend it to the vegans and clean eaters out there!

Delicious. I got a number 9 smoothie. I can’t stand it when I drink a smoothie and I feel sick from the massive amount of sugar. This smoothie was just a tad sweet, creamy and fruity. It was delicious. I highly recommend this place for a health food lovers. Avocado tacos are killer as well!

When it comes to integrity, Leahi Health is unmatched! They source all their greens from local organic farms, and turn them into amazing salads and smoothies! I’ve tried most of them, and my favorite is the Green Monster! I also love the Surfer Bowl! The prices are very fair, and the staff is super friendly! If you are looking for some healthy feel good food, this is the best place to go!

Whenever I’m in kaimuki I usually try to stop by and grab a smoothie. I love this place all of the salads are really great as well. The surfer bowl is my favorite salad and it really fills you up and is soooo tasty. All of the smoothies I’ve tried I’ve really liked my favorites would be jack johnson, green monster, and sweet tweet. Parking is convenient they have a few stalls right in front and additional parking on the street Free rewards program whenever you purchase from Kaimuki or Kailua location that adds up to free smoothies. They also send additional texts for discounts. Overall great healthy place limited menu but really food salads and smoothies.

This little hideaway has an amazing menu, uses super fresh produce, and is always packed(not really a good thing.) Nonetheless I rate it a two stars solely on their smoothies which makes up most of what they offer. Another reviewer nailed it when they said one of the green smoothies tasted like lemon ice. And from what I’ve observed, they blend them with a whole lotta ice. Like a kale lemon shave ice basically. I’ve never gone to a juice bar that blends with straight ice, frozen bananas or other fruits. I’d come to this place all the time if they switched up their style for smoothies, until then I’ll pay the same price for better quality at Blue Tree.

Came here on my search for healthy, vegan food while staying in Waikiki. The Über ride to this place was absolutely worth it! The kale salad bowls and the kombucha are amazing. Just make sure you’re not eating here right before going on a date or ask them to take it easy in the garlic ;-)

Tried The Cure today and last time I tried the King Green. All I can say is yum yum! Price isn’t bad for the amount of drink you get. If you’re into health food, especially the plant-based stuff, then this is the place for you. Mmmmmm!

We love green juices and have enjoyed some delightful ones since being in Hawaii. Leahi health wasn’t one of them. We ordered the king green, starburst, and poi smoothie. The king green tastes like ice lemon water with a bit of «green» in it, but it’s pretty much flavorless. I can’t make out any greens, just lemon, water, and ice. I asked about the poi and was told it’s «so so, and I wouldn’t try it again from there.» The starburst was the only decent smoothie, but unfortunately, they forgot we paid and ordered it so after 15 minutes when we inquired about it, she said«oh yeah, sorry» and then they began making it. There were only 2 people working there with a help wanted sign and we were the only patrons there, but yet they still managed to forget about part of the paid order and make the 3 drinks leaving much to be desired.

Located on 9th and Waialae avenue, this juice/café(y) counter is one of the many hidden gems in Kaimuki. Came here on the suggestion from my boss, who I think enjoys juicing on a regular, when I was trying to eat healthy and lose some unwanted lbs. I’ve only tried the sweet tweet since, but I hear the king green is one of the more popular flavor! What’s in a sweet tweet, you ask? It’s local greens, mint, and apple juice(there may be one more ingredient but I forget lol). The mint does overpower the other flavors in the drink but I personally don’t mind as I truly like the refreshing taste it adds. I would love to juice on a regular but it is pricey. A regular(16oz) is $ 5 for the large(20oz) $ 7, not including tax. They also serve tacos that’s all veggie and I think just a regular salad as well for food. Prices are around $ 8 – 9 per plate. Parking is limited, but since it’s Kaimuki there’s a lot of street parking to choose from.

2 days in a row of Leahi Health makes me want to be healthy all over again… eliminating all the bad stuff from my diet: fried foods, saturated fats, sweets, processed foods, french fries. Just kidding about french fries. I heard about Leahi Health a few weeks ago and found this place yesterday when I got veggies from the stand next door. Tried the *Jamaican Mojito Smoothie*, which was super minty and refreshing. Kombucha, Coconut Milk, Pineapple, Banana, Mint, Honey and Chia Seeds. It was yummy enough to drive there again today. Today we tried the *Green Monster Smoothie*, which is a tasty blend of Almond Milk, Greens, Banana, Almond Butter and Honey. Now this one, my mini me and I loved! Super creamy, tasty, not too sweet, just right. After having this, we’ll be saying bye bye to Jamba Juice. Smoothies are $ 5 for small and $ 7 for large 20 oz. The *Surfer Bowl* $ 8 is nothing short of AMAZING! To think that eating healthy can be delicious too and beautiful to look at. One of the best kale salads I’ve had ~ a huge mound of chopped kale, red cabbage, Japanese cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, green onions served on a thin layer of cooked brown rice, topped off with sliced avocados, almonds, furikake and lovingly dressed with a super yummy ginger tahini dressing. This dressing is divine! With each bite, I’m thinking to myself, man, I could eat this everyday and be happy! Give your body some love and try Leahi Health. Your life will change forever.

This is a review for their Kailua location… I’m SUCH a fan of this place!!! Just discovered it last week — where has it been all my life!!! So far, I’ve only been lucky enough to have gone twice. That will be changing soon… My first visit was last week. Wasn’t sure what to get because I wanted EVERYTHING, so the guy at the counter helped me out by recommending the King Green smoothie. The girl in the back gave me a sample of a red drink with Kombucha(can’t remember name), which was good, but not what I was in the mood for. Very cool, though, to give me a sample. Love that! I also ordered the Rainbow Wrap. The King Green was awesome, very refreshing and ~exactly~ what I wanted. I got the smaller $ 5 version and it was the perfect size/price. I couldn’t help it… it was gone in mere moments. Good job, counter guy. The wrap, though… OMG. THE most delicious non-meat wrap I’ve tasted in a very, very long time, probably EVER. I know I use the word«EVER» a lot but ~seriously~ this time I mean it times 1,000. Not only was the combination of flavors amazing, but it was huuuuuge! They serve it to you in a bowl and the entire thing gets filled up! So so so so good! I was a happy, happy girl. Today I got the Green Monster smoothie and the Kale Avocado tacos. I was not disappointed!!! The Green Monster smoothie tasted like a subtle dessert to me, while the tacos were yummy. They don’t skimp on the avocado! Although the Rainbow Wrap is still my favorite, I can’t wait to drink and eat my way through all the other smoothies and wraps/tacos they make! So happy to see a very healthy«fast food» option for when I’m on the go. We need more of these kinds of places!!! The inside was really clean, with nice calming music playing in the background and lots of fresh air! You can feel the breeze as you wait for your food. Although there are a couple tables outside for customers that want to eat right away, I took my food to go both times. They wrap the bowls up in aluminum foil, which is super convenient. Service is awesome, fast and friendly! LOVE this place! Tip: Sign up for their rewards card so you can rack up points for freebies! And make the counter guy talk a lot… he has a really awesome voice.

A taste of goodness! I’ve been dying to try this place for so long! So when I finally did, it was 8:20 on a Sat and they were so closed. Their sign said open from 8−5pm. So bummed!!! What’s up with that? So anyway, I tried again two weekends later and whalah! They were open at 8:10am! I ordered a King Green, two starburst for the kids and an ulu watu… because I got so excited when I saw cacao! The starburst was so absolutely refreshing and so good for kids!!! I love healthy drinks and was so excited for the king green! Ok, I think this one was a bit too healthy for me. The ginger left a lasting impression on my fearful tastebuds and throat. A bit too much ginger for me, but knowing how healthy it was– it was worth every sip! So I also tried the ulu and wow was that yummy. It didn’t taste healthy at all but still had a lot of fruits in there! The only thing that I wasn’t too impressed at was the customer service. The girl at the window wasn’t friendly and asked me if I knew what I wanted. I said that I would like some suggestions and just said the starburst are popular for kids and the King green was a popular one too. I have a feeling that the guy that ordered after me– who also ordered the King Green asked for it to have extra ginger so when she made our combined– that’s what made it so strong. The lack of customer service is the only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars. But that can change!!!

If you’re in the mood for some yummy healthy smoothies then this is the spot! I’m more of a juice person then smoothie because smoothies are too filling for me. This spot is located on 9th Ave in Kaimuki on a one way street so parking can be tough especially during busy hours. This place also has Kombucha which I heard is very healthy stuff. Great place to come by for quick healthy lunch bite or smoothie! Friendly staff!

Leahi Health has been a spot I have been frequenting often the past few months. It’s convenient, fresh, healthy and affordable. I pretty much stick to King Green Smoothie(Kombucha, local greens, banana, ginger, lemon, pineapple, mint) Surfer Bowl(Kale, purple cabbage, avocado, and a bunch of other veggies, with their KILLER ginger tahini sauce, served on brown rice and furikake, topped with almonds) and Kale Avocado Tacos. I also like the Jamaican one that tastes like a piña colada. I’ve managed to replace Jamba Juice with the King Green smoothie for my kids, because they love how it tastes, despite it’s extremely green color. All smoothies are $ 5 for a small and $ 7 for a large. Located right across«town»(the restaurant) next to the little fruit stand. Most times, you can pull right up to park directly in front of leahi’s window. For a healthy, tasty option in town, you must visit Leahi Health!

My bestie has been raving about this juice place on the corner of Waialae and 9th avenue. Well after a hot hike thru the Hanauma bay trail the Lowenbehold was just what I needed! This blend included kombocha, coconut milk, pineapple, banana, poi, Golgi berries, maca powder, flax and chia. Filling and delicious. I took a sip of the AC/DC: Kombocha, apple cider vinegar, ginger, mint and lemon over ice. Refreshing with a kick! It’s a cute walk up with super cool people there! In two weeks they will be opening a new location in Kailua. I can’t wait to come back and try the kale avocado tacos.

Tried king green for the first time, ginger was too strong but after awhile I got the hang of it and it tasted much better. They were super busy today so a lot of ingredients weren’t available today sadly cause I really wanted to try the sweet tweet but never had banana, mint etc. Next time I want to Try the surfer bowl looks yummy and healthy.

Kale salad, avocado tacos. not an easy sell to most the people I know. But the people I have convinced to try it, love it! Leahi’s «Surfer Bowl» is like no other kale salad I’ve ever had. Holy moly. The amazing blend of so many nutrient-rich foods, create an explosion of flavor. It is mind blowing. This bad boy with fill you up, but won’t PUT you down. The Rainbow Wrap is also a favorite if mine. I love the pita they use. When you see it, the reason for the name becomes apparent. Eating colorful food is just amazing. and I don’t mean Via Gelato. But yes they are amazing, too! Kale avocado taco are a smaller meal, and usually don’t fill me up, but they are awesome and they’re definitely worth trying. Great as a light lunch or afternoon snack. The fresh juices/smoothies are about as healthy as you can get. THISAIN’T NOJAMBA. No sweeteners to help it go down. You’re getting the fresh, delicious, raw deal! Unless you’re used to eating raw unsweetened foods, some of the juices might turn you off a little. but your body will thank you. Parking There are few stalls right in front, on 9th Ave, or park in the lot just past/behind the building, accessed by 9th Ave. Did you hear? Hawaii was rated as the healthiest state, for the second year in a row! Dunno by what rating or whose standards! Haha. But if it’s true, we have places like Leahi Health to thank for that.

One of the biggest things the Honolulu food scene is lacking is places to pick up fast, delicious and healthy food. Seriously. I spent the last month having to subsist almost exclusively on take-out food while my place was being renovated. After gaining a substantial amount of weight, eating mostly-crap food that was available and affordable, I finally visited Leahi. Their salad bowls are not only made of superfoods, but they actually taste GREAT and fill you up too! No starving rabbit food here! My favorite is their surfer bowl. The main ingredients are kale and brown rice, which might not sounds super appetizing, but trust me, they make magic in a bowl! Though they are located in Kaimuki, there’s usually at least one or two parking spaces free, right in front of their window. Easy for quick pick-ups!

I’ve been to Leahi Health Beverages a few times to get their delicious and super well-blended smoothies but I haven’t been by for awhile now and never wrote a review before. Today, that is definitely changing! The first thing that hooked me at Leahi was the $ 5 smoothies that are so healthy! Lots of vitamins and protein and antioxidants in these smoothies. I make my own smoothies at home with similar ingredients, but Leahi’s are so smooth, sometimes I gotta give my blender a rest and spend a little more for these. They are that good. I love the Jack Johnson and Green Monster. I wish I had a Vitamix and all their smoothie secrets cos these are tasty! They also have some lunch selections. So today I decided to finally try one and had the mac nut pesto grilled cheese. OMG! I wish I didn’t wait so long! The mozzarella is gooey and delicious and the pesto made with mac nuts instead of the typical pine nut is such a flavorful addition to what would be a simple grilled cheese. To make it even better, they also put tomatoes and baby spinach in the sandwich after it’s done cooking too! At $ 7, it’s a little pricey for just a sandwich(no sides), but it’s such a great little lunch splurge now and then. The store is just a window for ordering and picking up and one small shaded table. It’s a great stop to make if you’re in the neighborhood. It’s definitely worth a visit! The service is always super nice and fast and they also have a buyer’s card to earn free smoothies. If you’ve always been weary of those bright green smoothies and those weird superfood names, this is a great place to get over those fears. ;)
